Abstract

This naturalistic qualitative research aimed to describe students disposition of mathematical critical thinking in Contextual Socrates learning. The subject of this study were students of VII J class of SMPN 8 Bandarlampung in academic years of 2014/2015 which was obtained by purposive sampling technique. The data of this study was qualitative data about students' mathematical critical thinking disposition which were obtained by observation recording, documentation, and interviews. Before analysing the data, the researcher did the triangulation of data sources. Analysis of the data of this study used four stages, that were coding, reducting, and displaying of data, then getting the conclusion. Based on this study, it was concluded that the mathematical critical thinking disposition indicators which appeared dominantly in Socrates Contextual learning were curiousity and analyticality.Penelitian kualitatif naturalistik ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII J SMPN 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif mengenai disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Sebelum menganalisis data, peneliti melakukan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan 4 tahap, yaitu memberi kode, mereduksi, dan menyajikan data, kemudian menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa indikator disposisi berpikir kritis matematis yang dominan muncul pada Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual adalah rasa ingin tahu dan analitis.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, disposisi, Socrates Kontekstual

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aimed to describe the students mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy in Socrates Contextual Learning. The subject of this research was students of VII-D class of SMPN 22 Bandarlampung in even semester, academic year of 2014/2015 who appeared indicators of mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy. The data of this research were obtained by observation recording, mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy scale, and interview. The interview in this research aimed to get deeper informations about students mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy. The analysis of data used three stages, that were reducting, displaying, and getting conclusion of data. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that students mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy which appeared dominantly in Socrates Contextual Learning was indicators on magnitude/level dimension.Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 22 Bandarlampung semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang memunculkan indikator self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui catatan lapangan, skala self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis, dan wawancara. Wawancara dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih dalam mengenai self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Analisis data menggunakan tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dominan muncul dalam Pembelajaran Socrates Kotekstual adalah indikator pada dimensi magnitude/level.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, self-efficacy, socrates kontekstual

Abstract

This research aimed to know the development of the concept understanding ability of learners in learning which was facilitated by student activity sheets (LKPD) with guided inquiry. This research was qualitative deskriptive study. The subjects of this study were the students of class VII.2 SMP IT Baitun Nur Punggur in Academic Year 2017/2018. Research data were obtained through observation of LKPD workmanship and test of concept understanding ability. The results showed that understanding of learners' concept from every meeting which was facilitated by LKPD with guided inquiry Experienced had a positive development. In addition, the achievement of the concept comprehension test resultshowed the maximum result with an average of 80,18%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dalam pembelajaran yang difasilitasi Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD) dengan inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII.2 SMP IT Baitun Nur Punggur Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pengamatan hasil pengerjaan LKPD dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep peserta didik dari setiap pertemuan yang difasilitasi LKPD dengan inkuiri terbimbing mengalami perkembangan yang positif. Selain itu, pencapaian hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep menunjukkan hasil yang maksimal dengan rata-rata 80,18%.Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, lkpd, pemahaman konsep.

Abstract

This research was aimed at finding out how the result of Students Worksheet development by using LAPS-Heuristic model in order to facilitate the students capability in solving their Mathematics problem. This research is Research and development by using Borl and Gall development model which was done in 7 steps research; they are preface research, planning, developing early product design, validating design, revising product, trial and error the product, and revising product. The subjects of this research are the 8th B students of SMP 11 Maret Sumberagung-Pringsewu in the academic year 2016-2017. The result of preface research shows the necessity on developing Students Worksheet through problem based model. The result of the research shows that the Students Worksheet has already fulfilled the content properness standard and design. The result of trials field shows that Students Worksheet by using LAPS-Heuristic model can facilitate the capability in Mathematics problem solving.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil pengembangan LKPD dengan model LAPS-Heuristic dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian R D dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilaksankaan dalam tujuh tahap penelitian, yaitu penelitian pendahuluan, perencanaan, pengembangan desain produk awal, validasi desain, revisi produk, uji coba produk, dan revisi produk. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.B SMP 11 Maret Sumberagung Pringsewu Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan dikembangkannya LKPD dengan model berbasis masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi dan desain. Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model LAPS-Heuristic dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika.Kata kunci: LKPD, LAPS-Heuristic dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika

Abstract

This research aimed to describe studentss mathematical representation disposition on learning by Socrates methode in scientific approach. Subjects of this research were students of class VII-B of Junior High School 1 Natar in academic year of 2016/2017. Data of this research was qualitative data about studentss mathematical representation disposition description. The qualitative data of this research was about students mathematical representation disposition which were gotten by interview, field note, and documentation. The technique of data analysis used three stages, which were reducting, displaying, and getting the conlusion of data. Based on the research, it was concluded that application of the Socrates methode on the students of VII-B class of SMPN 1 Natar in academic year of 2016/2017 can bring out the mathematical representation disposition of students and the indicator of representation disposition understanding which appeared dominantly in Socrates methode was curiosity and confidence in thinking.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi representasi matematis siswa pada pembelajaran dengan metode Socrates dalam pendekatan saintifik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif tentang deskripsi disposisi representasi matematis siswa. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif mengenai disposisi representasi matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode socrates pada siswa kelas VII-B SMPN 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 dapat memunculkan disposisi representasi matematis pada siswa dan indikator disposisi representasi matematis pada siswa yang dominan muncul pada pembelajaran dengan metode socrates adalah rasa ingin tahu dan kepercayaan diri dalam berpikirKata kunci: disposisi representasi matematis, metode socrates, pendekatan saintifik.

Abstract

In this research, the function of self-efficacy scales and interview to make strong the informations which were obtained by observation. The data analyzed was done by three stages, which were reduced, verified the data, and analyzed of meaning. Based on this research, it could be concluded that Socrates Contextual Learning was dominantly raises indicator of students mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy on the dimensions of magnitude/level.Penelitian kualitatif naturalistik ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-J SMP Negeri 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015 yang direduksi menjadi 6 siswa. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif mengenai self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui skala self-efficacy, catatan lapangan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pada penelitian ini, fungsi skala self-efficacy dan wawancara untuk memperkuat informasi yang diperoleh dari observasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi, verifikasi data, dan analisis pemaknaan. Dari penelitian ini, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual secara dominan memunculkan indikator self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada dimensi magnitude/level.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, pembelajaran socrates kontekstual, self-efficacy

Abstract

This was a quasi experimental research that aimed to find out the influence of the learning model of think pair share towards student’s understanding of the mathematical concepts. The implementation of think pair share includes three stages, that are thinking, pairing, and sharing. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of even semester of SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that distributed into eight classes. The samples were students of VIIIB and VIIIC class who taken by purposive sampling technique with posttest only control group design. The research data was obtained by tests of mathematical conceptual understanding. This research was conculed that the learning model of think pair share influenced to students mathematical conceptual understanding of students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran think pair share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pelaksanaan think pair share meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu thinking, pairing, dan sharing. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the increasing of student’s mathematical representation skill which used TSTS cooperative learning compared to discuss learning. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Al-kautsar Junior High School of Bandar Lampung with samples were students of VIIIC and VIID class which were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical representation skill. The conclusion of this research was TSTS cooperative learning could increase the student’s mathematical representation skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TSTS dibandingkan pembelajaran diskusi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung dengan sampel siswa kelas VIII C dan VIII D yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan representasi matematis. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran kooperatif TSTS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: diskusi, representasi matematis, TSTS

Abstract

This research aimed to produce of didactic design of exponent and radical through inquiry method to develop disposition of mathematical representative of grade IX student of junior high school. This research refered to the procedure of Borg and Gall which started from a preliminary study in the form of a needs analysis, didactic design organizing, didactic design validation followed by revision, field trials followed by revision, and field test. The field test showed that didactical design which had been produced could be classified as usable by design expert judgement and evaluation by material expert with average 3,2 of maximal 4. The result of field trial indicated that disposition of mathematical representative indicators which appeared dominantly after using didactic design were curiosity and thinking broadly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain didaktis bilangan berpangkat dan bentuk akar melalui metode inkuiri dalam mengembangkan disposisi representasi matematis untuk siswa kelas IX SMP. Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur menurut Borg and Gall yaitu diawali dari studi pendahuluan berupa analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan desain didaktis, validasi desain didaktis dilanjutkan revisi, uji coba terbatas dilanjutkan revisi, dan uji lapangan dilanjutkan revisi. Hasil lapangan menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis yang dihasilkan layak digunakan dilihat dari penilaian ahli desain dan penilaian ahli materi dengan rata-rata 3,2 dari skor maksimal 4. Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa indikator disposisi representasi matematis yang dominan muncul setelah menggunakan desain didaktis adalah rasa ingin tahu dan berpikiran terbuka.Kata kunci: desain didaktis, disposisi representasi matematis, representasi matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to investigate the increasing of students’ mathematical communication skill by the implementation of cooperative learning model of TSTS type. The design of this research  was the pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research  was all students of grade 8 of SMP Negeri 21 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 as many as 192 students which was distributed into 8 classes. This research samples were students of VIIIF and VIIIG class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was found that the increasing of students’ mathematical communication skill who followed cooperative learning model of TSTS type was equal to conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model of TSTS type couldn’t increase of students’ mathematical communication skill. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS. Desain penelitian ini adalah the pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 192 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIF dan VIIIG yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS sama dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS tidak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, konvensional, TSTS
