Abstract

This study aims to produce a module of biology learning based on critical thinking skills that are effective in improving learning outcomes for students in senior high school grade X.The Study using Borg and Gall development method and product effectiveness test is using U Mann-Whitney test based on N-Gain calculation obtained from pretest and posttest score of each experimental class and control class and product attractiveness is determined by indicator according to percentage range. Data collection, for the feasibility and attractiveness of the module using a questionnaire while the effectiveness of the module is using the instrument test. Product trials were conducted at SMAN 1 Seputih Mataram, SMAN 1 Seputih Agung and SMAN 1 Terusan Nunyai district of Central Lampung with Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of the research is 94 people for experiment class and 94 people for control class. The result of data analysis shows that there is a significant increase of student learning outcomes and the module is very interesting with the percentage of attractiveness of 93% and the ease with the percentage of 84.67%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis yang efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan Borg and Gall, uji efektivitas produk menggunakan U Mann-Whitney test berdasarkan perhitungan N-Gain yang diperoleh dari skor pretes dan postes masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dan daya tarik produk ditetapkan dengan indikator sesuai rentang persentase. Pengumpulan data antara lain untuk kelayakan dan daya tarik modul menggunakan angket sementara efektivitas modul menggunakan instrument tes. Uji coba produk dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Seputih Mataram, SMAN 1 Seputih Agung dan SMAN 1 Terusan Nunyai kabupaten Lampung Tengah dengan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA sebanyak 94 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 94 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada siswa dan modul sangat menarik dengan persentase kemenarikan sebesar 93% dan kemudahan dengan persentase 84,67%.Kata Kunci : pengembangan bahan ajar, modul, keterampilan berpikir kritis

Abstract

The purpose of research were to know the influence of picture media towards increase of student’s science process skill. The research was a quasi-experimental research by pretest posttest group equivalent design. The samples of research were students from VIIIA and VIII B  which chosen from population by purposive sampling method. Data of this research were quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with t-test and U-test. The Result of research showed that the application of picture media affect student’s SPS significantly. The increase of student’s SPS is showed by average value of N-gain (68.00). All indicator of student’s SPS increased with average value of N-gain (67.35). The average percentage of student’s learning activities is in good criteria (80.20%) Besides, most of  students gave positive response in application of picture media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar terhadap peningkatan KPS oleh siswa.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimental dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII2 dan VII3 yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling.  Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup yang dianalisis dengan uji t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar berpengaruh sigifikan terhadap peningkatan KPS oleh siswa.  Peningkatan KPS siswa ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain (68,00).  Semua indikator KPS siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain (67,35).  Rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa berkriteria baik yaitu 80,20% Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media gambar. Kata kunci: KPS, Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup, Media Gambar.

Abstract

The aim of this research to know the effect of audio visual media towards learning achievement and students learning activities. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were class X1 and X2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest, postest, and N-gain were analyzed using U-test. The qualitative data was students learning activities which includes teamwork, discussion and presentation discussion results that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the audio visual media can improve students learning achievement proof with N-gain average was 25,32. N-gain average of C2 indicator was 23,15 and C4 indicator was 28,49. Learning activities of students from experimental had average 76,19% with high criteria for all aspects. Thus, learning by audio visual media  gave significant influence to improve students learning achievement and student learning activities for kingdom animalia subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas siswa yang mencakup bekerjasama dengan teman, kegiatan diskusi dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media audio visual meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 25,32. Rata-rata N-gain pada indikator C2 sebesar 23,15 dan indikator C4 sebesar 28,49. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen untuk semua aspek memperoleh rata-rata 76,19% dengan kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok kingdom animalia.Kata kunci : hasil belajar, kingdom animlia, media audio visual

Abstract

This study aims to find out  the improvement of students` problem solving skills on environmental pollution and conservation concepts of  X grade student of  SMA N 1 Talang Padang using Group Investigation learning model. The  study  used  pretest-posttest non equivalent design. Sample were X5 as experimental class and X3 as control  chosen from population using  randomized block  sampling technique. Data of students problem solving skill was obtained using  pretest and posttest, while data of  students` learning activities was observed and the data obtained was statistically analyzed using t-test with SPSS 17 program.The study  showed  that there was  improvement of students` problem solving skills  with  61.67 N-gain score. The GI learning model effected  students` problem solving significantly espescially on three aspects such as  identifying problem, formulating problem, and giving alternative solution.The GI learning model also  affected students` learning activities significantly on the students  expressing opinions / ideas  skill and discussions. The study concluded that the GI  learning models can improve students' problem solving skills and enhance student learning activities on environmental pollution and conservation concepts.Key words:     Group Investigation (GI) learning model, problem solving skills, learning activities, environmental pollution, environmental conservation.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe how the teacher’s profile in teaching of science in class IV Rajabasa elementary school. Subjects were six teachers that teaching science for four class from Rajabasa elementary school using purposive sampling technique. Data was qualitative data that was obtained from description of teacher’s teaching process. Data analysis was obtained from observation sheet of teaching process. The results showed that all of the teacher teaching of science didn’t suit well on process standard, scientific approach, and constructivism with teacher’s value average 47%, 33%, and 33%. It was obvius that teachers of class IV teaching on science didn’t suit well on process standard, scientific approach, and constructivism. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil guru dalam pembelajaran IPA pada kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Rajabasa. Subjek penelitian adalah enam guru yang mengajar IPA kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Rajabasa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari deskripsi proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru. Analisis data didapat dari lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua guru melakukan pembelajaran IPA yang kurang sesuai dengan standar proses, pendekatan saintifik, dan konstruktivisme dengan persentase skor rata-rata 47%, 33%, dan 33%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran IPA yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas IV Sekolah Dasar kurang sesuai dengan standar proses, pendekatan saintifik, dan konstruktivisme. Kata kunci : konstruktivisme, pembelajaran IPA, pendekatan saintifik, profil guru, standar proses

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of science process skills to critical thinking skills and students learning activity. The samples of this research are students of III A and III B SDN 1 Kampung Baru chosen by Claster Random Sampling technique. The research used pre-test-post-test non equivalent design. The quantitative data were the learning result that were analyzed by using T-Test.The qualitative data were the observation sheet of learning activity and student responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result of students learning with N-gain average (57,34) is significantly different with class control (18,86). The increasing in the average of student learning activity of experiment class is (72,24%). Therefore, using science process skills can improved critical thinking skills and students activity on the material of Characteristics and Needs of Living Things.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan proses sains terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IIIA dan IIIB SDN 1 Kampung Baru yang dipilih dengan teknik Claster random sampling. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif berupa keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dianalisis menggunakan uji T. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain 57,34 berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (18,86). Peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,24%. Sehingga, penggunaan keterampilan proses sains dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok Ciri-Ciri dan Kebutuhan Makhluk Hidup.Kata kunci : keterampilan proses sains, ciri-ciri dan kebutuhan makhluk hidup, keterampilan berpikir kritis

Abstract

The research purpose was to describes of cooperative ability and cooperative pattern of students on IV and V grade in Elementary School 1 Rajabasa Jaya Bandar Lampung. This research used simple descriptive design. The samples were all students on IV and V grade which were 50 students that was selected using saturated sampling technique. Qualitative data were cooperative ability and cooperative pattern students that were obtained from observation sheets, students and teacher questionnaire, and teachers interview, this data was then analyzed descriptively. The result showed that overall cooperative ability of students in science learning was high criteria with percentage 61%. The aspects of on the task was the highest that was 68 %. Cooperative pattern there are two cooperative patterns formed, cooperative suplementer and cooperative different. The most dominant cooperative pattern was cooperative suplementer.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan kerjasama dan pola kerjasama siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri 1 Rajabasa Jaya Bandar Lampung. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif sederhana. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV dan V berjumlah 50 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data kualitatif berupa kemampuan kerjasama dan pola kerjasama siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi, kuesioner siswa dan guru, serta wawancara guru, data tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA berkriteria tinggi dengan persentase 61%. Aspek berada dalam tugas merupakan aspek dengan persentase tertinggi, yaitu 68%. Terdapat dua pola kerjasama yang terbentuk yaitu pola kerjasama suplementer dan pola kerjasama berbeda. Pola kerjasama paling dominan adalah kerjasama suplementer.Kata kunci: kemampuan kerjasama, pembelajaran IPA, pola kerjasama

Abstract

This research was held on SMP N 1 Sukadana. The purpose of this research was to find out oral communication skill and students learning outcome through NHT model. The design of this research was pretest-postest non equivalent. The learning outcome data were collected from pretest, posttest, and N-gain which was analyzed by using U test. The oral communication skill data and students questionnaire that were obtained from observation sheet was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that using NHT model could increase students learning outcome, it could be seen from the N-gain average of experiment class which was 48,86 was higher than control class which was 27,00. The average of observation percentage in oral communication skill get sufficient characterized that was 48,97%. Most of the students (94,1%) gave positive response to the using of NHT model. It could be concluded that NHT model influenced oral communication skill and students learning outcome.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 1 Sukadana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan dan hasil belajar siswa melalui model NHT. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-postest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest, dan N-gain yang dianalisis dengan uji U. Data kemampuan komunikasi lisan dan tanggapan siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, terlihat pada rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi sebesar 48,86 berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 27,00. Hasil rata-rata persentase observasi kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa memiliki kriteria cukup 48,97%. Sebagian besar siswa (94,1%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model NHT. Abstract

This research aims were to explore information about the use of discovery learning model in improving students’s collaboration and high order thinking skills (HOTS). The design used was a quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample of this study were students of Junior High School 22 Bandar Lampung VIIA as control class and VIIB as experimental class taken used purposive sampling technique. Collaborative skill was obtained from collaboration observation sheet and high order thinking skill obtained from pretest-posttest scores. The results showed that the use of discovery learning could improve student collaboration skills with the collaboration score of experimental group categorized good and discovery learning model also significantly improved student's high order thinking skills with N-gain of experimental group's that was higher than control group. So it can be concluded that the used of discovery learning influenced the improvement of collaboration skills and significantly increased in high order thinking skills of students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali informasi tentang penggunaan model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok non-ekuivalen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMP Negeri 22 Bandar Lampung kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol dan VIIF sebagai kelas eksperimen diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. keterampilan kolaborasi diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik diperoleh dari nilai pretes-postes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik dengan kriteria baik dan model discovery learning juga meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik secara signifikan dengan N-gain kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kontrol. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didikKata kunci: discovery learning, HOTS, keterampilan kolaborasi

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the influence of brochure learning material towards students learning result and students learning activities. The design of this research was pretest and protest with non-equivalent. The subjects of this research were students inthe class X2 dan X3 of SMAN 1 Sukadana, chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were the learning result that were analyzed by using T-Test and U-Test. The qualitative data were the observation sheet of learning activities and student reaction that were analyzed descriptively. Students achievement in experiment class was significantly different by average N-Gain 65,79. The indicator of C1 and C2 questions showed the significantly result. The average of student learning activities in the aspect of askingquestions (25.78 %), giving opinions (39.84%), communication (85.94%), cooperating (90.63%), and the answering questions (75.78%). Thus, brochure learning material could increase students learning result and students learning activities on the subject matter of Animalia kingdom.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar brosur terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Desain yang digunakan yaitu pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X2 dan X3 SMAN 1 Sukadana yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar yang dianalisis meng-gunakan uji T dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen berbeda signifikan dengan rata-rata N-gain 65,79. Dan data indikator soal C1 dan C2 menunjukkan hasil berbeda signifikan. Rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa pada aspek mengajukan pertanyaan (25,78%), memberikan pendapat (39,84%), berkomunikasi (85,94%), bekerjasama (90,63%), dan men-jawab pertanyaan (75,78%). Sehingga, penggunaan bahan ajar brosur dapat me-ningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok dunia hewan.Kata kunci : brosur, dunia hewan, hasil belajar siswa, model TPS
