Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the socio-economic characteristics of coconut farmers in Pengabuan Subdistrict and to analyze factors affecting the production and income of coconut farmers in Pengabuan Subdistrict in West Tanjung Jabung Regency.The method used this research is quantitative descriptive methode. The data used in this study is primary data. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that at a significance level of 10% only land area variable had a significant effect on coconut production in Pengabuan Sub-District, Tanjung Jabung Barat District while labor, fertilizer and pest variables did not significantly influence the coconut production in Sub-District Pengabuan Tanjung Regency Jabung Barat. However, simultaneously the dependent variable significant influences of the production coconut in Pengabuan District, Tanjung Jabung Barat District. In terms of income, production, selling price, and management costs significantly influence the income of coconut farmers in Pengabuan District, both partially and simultaneousl in 10% significant level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital, age, education and working hours on the income of traditional market traders in Sungai Saren Village, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The data used in this study are primary data, the sampling method used in this study is Purposive Sampling with 56 respondents as traders, the analytical tool used is Multiple Linear Analysis.Based on the results of the study obtained a probability value of 0,000 for the F Test and partial test of Capital, Age, Education and Working Hours variables. This shows that the variables simultaneously and partially all the variables have a significant effect on the income of Traders in the Traditional Market of Sungai Saren, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Determination Coefficient Value (R2) of 0.520 shows that the influence of Capital, Age, Education and Working Hours, Work on the income of Traders of Sungai Saren Market, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency is 52%.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To determine and analyze the social and economic characteristics of coffee farmers in Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. 2) To determine and analyze the effect of land area, capital and labor on coffee production, Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency by using multiple linear regression analysis tools. Based on the social and economic characteristics of Coffee Farmers in Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, it can be concluded that the average age of the Coffee Farmers is 39 years, the average number of dependents of Coffee Farmers is 2 dependents, the average working hours of Coffee Farmers is 3 hours, The average coffee production produced by coffee farmers is 57 kg, the average area of land owned by coffee farmers is 1.46 hectares, the average capital of coffee farmers is Rp. 187,400, the average workforce of Coffee Farmers is only 1 person and the average income of the respondents is Rp. 1,710,000 per month. Based on the results of multiple linear regression, it can be concluded that partially only the variables of land area and labor have a significant effect on coffee production in Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) see the description of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves, exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account balance for the period 1998-2017. (2) analyze the effect of exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account balance on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis with multiple regression model analysis using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study show that the average development of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves is 11.87 percent, exports are 7.38 percent, foreign debt is 4.51 percent, the current account balance is 514.89 percent and the capital account balance is 66.92 percent. Based on the results of the analysis carried out by exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account have a positive and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves with a coefficient of determination of 98.37 percent. Abstract

  The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze Gross Regional Domestic Product, interest rates and inflation on deposit demand for 2000-2017 period at Commercial Banks in Jambi Province. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis with multiple regression model analysis tools with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. Data processing is performed using the Software Eviews 9.0 program. The results of this study the average development of deposits by 28.87 percent, Gross Regional Domestic Product by 6.20 percent, interest rates by -8.49 percent, inflation by 22.76 percent. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the Gross Regional Domestic Product, interest rates and inflation have a positive and significant effect on demand for deposits with a coefficient of determination of 99.29 percent Keywords: Deposits, gross regional domestic product, interest rates, inflation

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development and contribution of the investment labor, and GDP mining sector in the Bungo Distric, The research was using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The result of this study indicates that, during the period of 2008-2017investement, labor and GDP mining sector in the Bungo Distric is experiencing developments that fluctuate, with an average of GDP mining sector in the Bungo Distric 12,7 percent an annual, investmen 29,8 percent an annual and 2,6 percent to labor. Investmen contribution in the formation of the GDP mining sector in the Bungo Distric an average 45,2 percent. From the results of the regression shows independent variables simultaneously investment and labor effect on the dependent variables. While a partial workforce affects the PDRB while investments are not over the period of 2008-2017 years. Keywords : Investment, Labor, GDP mining sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) inequality of development in Jambi Province; 3) the effect of general allocation funds (DAU), special allocation funds (DAK), and profit sharing funds (DBH) on inequality in development in Jambi Province. The data used are secondary data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province. The data analysis tool uses Williams Index, and path analysis. The results of the study found that 1) The average Williamson Index value in Jambi Province during the period 2001-2016 is 0.392743, which means that there is a high inequality. 2) Simultaneously DAU, DAK, and DBH have a significant effect on inequality. together DAU, DAK, and DBH are able to explain inequality by 80.00%, while the remaining 20.00% is explained by other variables not found in this study. Partially the variables that significantly influence inequality are DBH while DAU and DAK have no significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence directly or indirectly the number of working population and investment to income inequality through economic growth in Jambi Province. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Office of the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province. For data analysis tools using path analysis. Economic growth is a variable of mediation in the indirect effect of the working population and investment in income inequality. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that (1) the number of working population has the insignificant effect on economic growth, investment has the positive and significant effect on economic growth. (2) The number of people working on a positive and significant impact on income inequality, otherwise investment, and economic growth has insignificant effect on income inequality.Keywords: Inequality of Income, The Number of Working Population, Investment, Economic Growth. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh secara langsung maupun tidak langsung jumlah penduduk yang bekerja dan investasi terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan melalui pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jambi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang bersumber dari kantor Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jambi.Untuk alat analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur. Pertumbuhan ekonomi merupakan variabel mediasi dalam pengaruh tidak langsung jumlah penduduk yang bekerja dan investasi terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dietahui bahwa (1) Jumlah penduduk yang bekerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, Investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhaadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. (2) Jumlah penduduk yang bekerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan, sedangkan investasi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan. Kata kunci : Ketimpangan Pendapatan, Jumlah Penduduk yang Bekerja, Investasi, Pertumbuhan Ekonomi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the shifts that occur to the three leading sectors in the Regency of West Tanjung Jabung and to find out how much contribution from the three leading sectors to the economic growth during the period 2011-2015. The data collection method used in this research is secondary data analysis which is collecting data through the material of the library. From based on the result of data analysis, the result of the shift of the three leading sectors of the economy Tanjung Jabung District West during 2011-2015 using shift-share analysis changed at the national level (Ns) of 3,851,361.79, with a differential shift (D) value of -34,748.82 and proportional shift (P) value of -295,710.45, where the value of shifting the three leading sectors experienced development in the period 2011-2015 amounted to 3,520,902.92. The three leading sectors are classified into the analysis of Typology Klassen to determine the value of its contribution to the growth rate of the region, where the mining and quarrying sectors become the first quadrant, the manufacturing sector becomes the second quadrant, and then the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors become the third quadrant. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic characteristics and inequality of income of street vendors in Kuala Tungkal City. The data used is sourced from surveys at street vendors. Data were analyzed descriptively and used the gini coefficient and lorentz curve. The results of the study found that street vendors in Kuala Tungkal City were characterized by: 1) Dominated by men with the highest proportion of ages between 26 - 45 years. Merchant education is relatively varied ranging from never going to school to graduating from high school. More than two thirds of them are married with the number of family dependents dominated by 1-4 people. In terms of business location, almost three-quarters of them operate in the market area and only about a quarter of them are trying along the main road. The capital of street vendors in the city of Kuala Tungkal is relatively varied from Rp. 50,000 to over Rp. 1,000,000, with more than half having the same capital or less than Rp. 550,000. Furthermore, in terms of income, most street vendors have an income of Rp. 151,000 - 250,000; 2) Using the method of class three class, the inequality of income of street vendors in the low category with a gini ratio of 0.22772. Furthermore, using the class five class method, the inequality of income of street vendors is also in the low category with a gini ratio of 0.2
