Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is to find out and understand more deeply the form of Jepin Kembang Manggar dance presentation in Batu Layang Subdistrict, North Pontianak District, which includes: dance movements, top design, floor design, dramatic design, dynamics, group composition, themes, musical accompaniment, cosmetology and fashion, property and venue.  This study uses descriptive methods in a qualitative form and uses a choreographic approach.  The results of this study are the dance name Jepin Kembang Manggar taken from the property name, manggar.  Jepin Kembang Manggar dance has an initial, middle and final motion.  Jepin Kembang Manggar dance is a group dance and can be danced en masse.  The musical instruments used to elevate the Jepin flower dance of Manggar are Gambus, Gendang Panjang, Tawak / Gong, Tar, Violin and Accordion.  Jepin Kembang Manggar dance, using realist makeup.  Clothing worn by female dancers, brackets, trousers, gills, obi, and flower accessories and earrings.  The clothing worn by male dancers uses a telok pot, gill cloths, and the slopes worn on the head.  The property used is the flower shaped Manggar. Keywords: Dance, Jepin Kembang Manggar, Presentation

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the desire of researchers to describe the structure of the Selodang Mayang dance movement. This research uses a descriptive method in a qualitative form and uses an ethnochoreological approach, with data sources in the form of Selodang Mayang Dance. The speakers in this study were Syarifah Zainab Asgaf, Syarifah Fadlon Alkadrie and Syarifah Faizah Alkadrie who knew about Selodang Mayang dance at the Kadriyah Sultanate Palace in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and audio-visual material. The data validity testing technique used is the extension of observation and source triangulation. Based on the analysis of the data it was concluded that the structure of the Selodang Mayang dance movement in the Kadriyah Sultanate Palace in Pontianak, West Kalimantan as follows: The name Selodang Mayang dance was taken from the property names namely shawl and mayang. Selodang Mayang dance is a group dance. There are 3 types of motion that are described based on the smallest part first, namely the motive motions, motion phrases, sentences of motion and groups of motion that become a unified whole of motion in the Selodang Mayang dance. The motion in Selodang Mayang dance is identical with double step or double foot or usually called jogog dance.Keywords: Dance, Motion structure, Selodang Mayang

Abstract

Abstark: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi tari Ngantar Panompo dalam upacara adat Naik Dango pada suku Dayak Kanayatn. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif, dengan sumber data Agus Frengki, Saena, Laitus dan Adang yang mengetahui tentang tari Ngantar Panompo dan upacara adat Naik Dango. Data tersebut adalah hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa fungsi tari Ngantar Panompo adalah sebagai ritual terakhir atau penutup dalam upacara adat Naik Dango. Tari Ngantar Panompo adalah tari yang bersifat ritual, tujuannya untuk meringankan beban dengan memberikan Panompo atau upeti berupa hasil pertanian dan peternakan untuk tuan rumah yang mengadakan upacara.   Kata Kunci: Fungsi, Tari Ngantar Panompo, Naik Dango. Abstract: The aim of this research is to known the fungtion of Ngantar Panompo Dance in Naik Dango Traditional Ceremonies on Dayak Kanayatn. The method that is used in this research is descriftive in from qualitative, when the source of the data are coming from Agus Frengki, Saena, Laitus and Adang which are known fully about Ngantar Panompo dance in Sungai Ambawang District. Moreover, the writer used interview, observation and documentation as the technique. The result of data analysis showed that the fungtion of Ngantar Panompo dance is the last rites or closing in Naik Dango Traditional Ceremonies. Ngantar Panompo dance is a ritual dance, aims to ease the burden by giving tribute or Panompo in the form of agricultural and livestock for host the ceremony.   Key word: Fungtion, Tari Ngantar Panompo, Naik Dango.
