Abstract

Abstract                        This rescarh was based to know presentation and function Balalak music on celebration at Monterado village, Monterado district, Bengkayang district,the purpose of this study was how form presentation and function Balalak music, celebration at Monterado village ,Monterado sub- district, Bengkayang district. This research used was desctripve methodand the research reom used is qualative research. Sources of datain this study some interviewsa and relevan sources about the presentation and funcation Balalak music at Monterado village, Monterado sub district Bengkayang district. Data collection techsuch as observation interviews study literature and documentation. Technique such observation to test the validity of data used was sources triangulation, triangulation techniqueand lengthen observation data analysis techniques in thi study used was inreactive data analysis to include data presentation and deduce. Basd on data analysis it was can to concludemusik on ritual Balalak as rite of passage Balalak the accompanist, communication and entertaimen. From presentation and function Balalak music at Monterado village, Monterado sub-district, Bengkayang district. Is instrument, onstage, makeup, soundsytem and presentation order. Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to know learning process and learning achievement at Sanggar Bina Vokalia Harmonia, Pontianak. Sanggar Bina Vokalia Harmonia is the first vocal course in Pontianak. This research was designed as a qualitative study by using descriptive method. The data were then analyzed by using reduction of research data about vocal learning at Sanggar Bina Vokalia Harmonia which described the data that have been reduced in to narrative text and concluded the results of research to obtain a description of process and learning achievement at Sanggar Bina Vokalia Harmonia. Results of the research showed that there are four stages of learning which covers vocal warms up, vocal exercises, voice deepening and singing songs. Learning outcomes obtained by learners can be said good, because the majority of learners have experienced changes in knowledge, skills and vocal skills in accordance with the results of observations, interviews and questionnaires. Keyword: Learning, Vocal, Sanggar

Abstract

AbstractHaving lacked documentation to preserve information related to dance as part of the culture of the Malay in Sambas Regency has been the concern of the researcher. This study aims to analyze the meaning of movements and supporting elements used in the Radat dance titled Ape Nang Ditumbok and to document it into a video and written form. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis in the form of qualitative with the semiotic approach. The data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from the local artists. The data were validated by extended observation and triangulation techniques (source triangulation). Radat dance Ape Nang Ditumbok is a group dance played by 12 women, accompanied by percussion instruments played by men. Ape Nang Ditumbok consists of 5 movements: swinging, pounding and winnowing rice, timang burung, nyiur melambai, and the movement showing sadness or happiness. The movements in this dance come from daily activities such as walking, working, movements representing animals and plants, and human expression. The Raddat dance Ape Nang Ditumbok originally functioned as entertainment in an event held in the royal palace Sambas and the wedding of the nobility. As it develops, the dance is also performed at public weddings, festivals, religious rituals, dance performances, and competitions. This traditional dance was created on the basis of a poem, and later the movements were created. Additionally, the Radat dance Ape Nang Ditumbok can be used as teaching material for teaching and learning theory and practice in the subjects of Cultural Arts and Skills. Keywords : Analysis, dance movement, Radat Dance Ape Nang Ditumbok

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam mendireksi melalui metode demonstrasi. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A berjumlah 34 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan lembar uji keterampilan. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I sikap badan masih belum luwes serta tidak memandang keanggotanya. Saat memulai gerakan tangan belum sempurna. Siswa sering terlihat tidak memperhatikan ketukan lagu. Saat menutup tidak membetuk pola lingkaran. Kemudian menunjukkan ekspresi yang tegang dan tidak luwes. Pada siklus II sikap badan siswa sudah bagus dan luwes. Siswa dapat memulai mendireksi dengan aba-aba yang benar. Kestabilan tempo sesuai dengan ketukan lagu. Pada teknik menutup siswa sudah menunjukkan teknik yang sempurna. Dan ekspresi siswa masih sangat kurang dan hanya mengalami sedikit peningkatan dari pertemuan sebelumnya, Dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam mendireksi. Kata Kunci : Keterampilan, Mendireksi, Metode Demonstrasi Abstract: This study aims to improve the skills of students in conducting through the method of demonstration. The research is a form of class action. The subjects were students of class VII counted 34 people. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research tool is the observation sheets and sheets test of skill. The results of the study in the first cycle is not yet a flexible posture and did not look at keanggotanya. When a rudimentary hand gestures starts. Students often no attention to visible beat of the song lends. When closing not establish a circular pattern. Then the expression is tense and inflexible. In the second cycle students have good posture and flexibility. they can start with the correct reference conducting. Stability according to the rhythm of the song tempo. A engineering students have demonstrated near perfect technique. And the expression of students is still very poor and only slightly increased from previous meetings, it can be concluded that through the demonstration method can improve students' skills in conducting. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih ini memiliki keunikan yang terletak pada melodi dan lirik. Masalah umum penelitian bagaimana analisis motif melodi dan makna lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif serta menggunakan pendekatan musikologi. Sumber data penelitian yakni Khalik Syah, Sudiono dan Riki Purnama. Data penelitian adalah motif melodi dan lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang dan hubungan antara lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih dengan kehidupan masyarakat Kota Singkawang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik observasi dan wawancara. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik perpanjangan pengamatan dan triangulasi dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian yaitu: 1) motif melodi lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang terdapat motif melodi yang berbentuk pengulangan harafiah, ulangan pada tingkat lain (sekuens), pembesaran interval, pengecilan interval dan pembesaran nilai nada  2) terdapat makna lirik dari setiap baris yang menggambarkan kondisi Kota Singkawang yang tentram, aman sehat, bersih indah harapan dan selalu mengingat sang pencipta (3) terdapat hubungan antara lirik lagu Singakawang Kota Tasbih dengan kehidupan masyarakat Kota Singkawang yakni berhubungan dengan  Tuhan, hubungan antar masyarakat, dan masyarakat dengan  alam. Kata kunci: motif melodi dan lirik lagu. Abstrack: The Background of this reserch is because Singkawang Kota Tasbih have uniqueness in it’s melody and lyrics. The major problem of research how to do melody motive analysis and meanings of Singkawang Kota Tasbih song lirycs in Singkaawang City. The method of this research is descriptive analysis method with qualitative form using musicology approach. Source of the research data are Khalik syah, Sudiono and Riki purnama. In research data are melody  motive and Singkawang Kota Tasbih in Sngkawang city’s song lyrics and the connections between the song lyrics with the life of Singkawang citizens. The data incorporation technique was observation technique and interview. Data validity technique using extenson research technique and triangulation with contents analysis technique. The reserlts of the research are : 1) the melody motives of the song had melody motives which formed in literal repetition, repetition in another level (sekuens), interval enlargement, interval diminution  and note value diminution 2) there are meanings in every live of the lyrics which represent the peaceful, healthy and sofe, clean beautiful hope and always remember the song lyrics with the citizen’s life in Singkawang which related to the God, ralations between citizens and relation between citizens and nature.   Keyword: Melody motive and Song lyrics.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran seni tari, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil angket hobi anak pada hanya 15 orang siswa yang menjawab minat belajar menari tradisi. Serta berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti mengajar, masih banyak siswa tampak tidak serius dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian secara umum adalah untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi Seni Tari Jepin Lembut melalui metode kooperatif jigsaw di kelas VII SMP Negri 1 Paloh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian siklus I dan II dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui metode kooperatif  jigsaw dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi seni Tari Jepin Lembut di Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Paloh.   Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Kooperatif jigsaw, Minat belajar, Tari Jepin Lembut     Abstract: The background of this research is the lack of the student’s interest in learning art dance, it can be seen from the first observation through the questionnaire about hobby, only 15 students who like to dance. On the other hand, based on the writers’s observation during teaching process, most students did not enthusiastically take part. The purpose of this research is to increase the students’ learning interest on dance art Jepin Lembut through jigsaw cooperative method on the first year student of SMPN 1 Paloh. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memainkan rekorder melalui metode demonstrasi. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B berjumlah 26 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan lembar uji keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I siswa masih melakukan kesalahan dimana posisi rekorder berada dibawah 30o maupun diatas 45o, kemudian siswa masih menggunakan pernapasan dada. Jari-jari siswa masih terlihat kaku dalam menutup lubang-lubang rekorder. Semua siswa belum lancar dalam menutup lubang-lubang rekorder. Pada siklus II, siswa sudah dapat memegang dengan benar. Ditemukan beberapa siswa masih menggunakan pernapasan perut dan dada sehingga nada yang dikeluarkan menjadi tidak stabil. Siswa sudah dapat menutup lubang rekorder dengan baik dan tidak terlihat kaku. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memainkan rekorder. Kata kunci : keterampilan, rekorder, metode demonstrasi Abstract: This study aims to improve students' skills in playing the flute through the method of demonstration. The research is a form of class action. The subjects were students of class VIII B, for a total of 26 people. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research tool is the observation sheets and sheets test of skill. The results showed that in the first cycle of students still make mistakes in the position of the recorder under the 30o or 45o above, then students are still using thoracic breathing. The radius of the students still looks stiff in the hole last recorder. All students not yet fluent in the recorder closing holes. In the second cycle, students have been able to maintain properly. some students still use abdominal breathing and chest so the emitted tone becomes unstable found. Students can now close the hole and recorder and not look stiff. It can be concluded that through the demonstration method can improve students' skills in playing the recorder. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan membaca pola ritme notasi balok pada siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B berjumlah 42 orang terdiri dari 20 orang laki-laki dan 22 orang perempuan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi langsung dengan tes unjuk keterampilan dan pengetahuan. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan 4 tahap, yakni tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dari hasil tes keterampilan siswa diperoleh data sebagai berikut ; hampir semua siswa sudah dapat menerapkan  durasi dengan baik, tempo sudah mulai stabil, aspek lancar dalam memainkannya masih kurang pada siklus I. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu  semua siswa sudah dapat menerapkan durasi dan tempo dengan sangat baik dan sebahagian besar siswa sudah lancar membaca pola ritme notasi balok. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode drill  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam membaca pola ritme notasi balok pada siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan, Notasi Balok, Pola Ritme.   Abstract : The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of students’ skill on reading Notation Beams rhythm pattern to the eighth grade B students' of SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. The method used in this research was a descriptive method. It was kind of classroom action research. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII B with the total number of students’ 42 students where 20 male students’ and 22 female students’. The technique use in this research was direct observation through performance tests and knowledge. This study was conducted in four stages: planning, implementating, observing, and reflecting. Based on the results of the students’ skill test, it was acquired data as follows: First cycle, almost all of students could apply precise duration well, the tempo has begun to appear stable but in the aspect of playing still weak. The second cycle, it was significantly improve. All students were able to apply the duration and tempo very well and most of the students were fluently in reading notation beams rthym. It can be concluded that the used of drill method could improve students' skills in reading patterns of beam rhythm notation in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir.   Keyword: Ability, Notation Beams, rhythm pattern.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was to find out the basic and supporting elements found in the Arabic Zapin Dance. The researcher hopes that this research can become a corpus of data documenting the Zapin Arabic Dance so that it can be used as reference by further researchers and readers.The research method used was descriptive method of analysis with the form of qualitative research and choreographic approach. The data of this research was to describe the structure of the Arab Zapin dance. Sources of data include, Syarif Usman, Syarif Mansyur, Sy Ghozali Zein as an artist who knows the structure of the Apara Arab Zainian dance. The data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation with researcher as the main instrument. The persistence and triangulation of sources were used to check the validity of data. The data analysis techniques of this research were analysis during the field, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and classification.The results of this study described the presentation structure of the Arabic Zapin Dance. There are 3 types of motion, divided into initial motion, middle motion (contents) and closing motion. The floor design used is in the form of vertical, horizontal lines. Low design, pure design, angular design, flat design, high design are the top designs used.Keywords: Presentation Structure, traditional zapin Arabic dance.

Abstract

AbstractThe study based on the students ' lack of interest ofDangdut music and there wasa tendency that Music Students were more interested with Western music and popular music at this time.. The problem of this research was how music student interests against Dangdut music and why in any event shows held by Prodi and art students community rarely used instruments Dangdut?. This research was about Performance Art Education student interest in Tanjungpura University Pontianak Against Dangdut Music. The study was conducted at Performance Art Education FKIP UNTAN. Data obtained through this research was the description of the facts concerning the interest of students Towards Dangdut Music. The data were analyzed qualitatively with resource data that was Mr. H. M. Yaman Umar, and Music Student of Performance Art Education of UNTAN who know about the Dangdut Music. The data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation, and question form.Based on the data analysis can be concluded that; (1) the interest of Performance Art Education students towards Dangdut Music, where the average respondents who chose "sometimes" more than respondents who chose "always", "often", "Rare", and "never".  Keywords: Dangdut Music, Interest, Performance Art Education, Student
