Abstract

The use of inappropriate learning method can make the students feel tired to participate in learning and lead to the lack of the effectiveness of learning development inside classroom. Teams Games and Tournament (TGT) is one of cooperative learning method using game. Using this method, the learning activities between learners can be a fair competition, where they compete to present something they have learnt from Interactive CD. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mathemathic teaching material and Pyramid prism by Interactive CD-assisted TGT strategy. The effectiveness achieved is characterized by (1) the average achievement of students who learned in experimental class reachede 80,0 ,(2) the average of motivation to learn reach the exhaustiveness of learning motivation, (3) having a positive effect on the motivation of learning achievement, and (4) the students achievement of experimental class is better that control class. The population of this study is the students of SMP N 2 Rembang grade VIII. Using the random cluster sampling technique, it is determined that VIII-2 as experimental group and VIII-3 as control group. The result shows that the average achievement of learners who are taught using Interactive CD-assisted TGT strategy reach 81,35. The average of learning motivation reach to the exhaustiveness of leaning motivation with the value 76.76 from regression calculation, the regression of the estimation of equation is gained between X and Y that is Y= 36.391 + 0.586X with determination coefisien of 49.0%, meaning that there is positive effect on the achievement of learning motivation. In addition, the average ofstudents achievement of experimental group and control class are 77.96 and 81.35. It means that the average of students achiement who learn in the experimental group is better than those who learn in control class. Based on this result, we can draw conslusion that four effective learning are achieved.Keywords: Effectiveness, TGT, Interactive CD, Learning Achievement, Motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penellitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kecemasan matematika siswa SMP berdasarkan gender dan hubungannya dengan prestasi matematika. Sebanyak 113 siswa perempuan dan 80 siswa laki-laki menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Angket diolah menggunakan uji t, anova, dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa perempuan memiliki tingkat kecemasan matematika yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa laki-laki. Kecemasan memiliki hubungan positif terhadap prestasi pada kelompok siswa kemampuan bawah, sebaliknya kecemasan memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap prestasi pada kelompok siswa kemampuan atas, sehingga siswa dengan kemampuan rata-rata cenderung memiliki kecemasan matematika yang tinggi. Indikator dengan tingkat kecemasan paling tinggi adalah ketika siswa akan menghadapi ulangan dadakan. Khusus siswa perempuan terdapat dua indikator lain dengan tingkat kecemasan matematika tertinggi yaitu ketika siswa khawatir memikirkan nilai tidak memenuhi batas tuntas dan ketika waktu mengerjakan ulangan akan habis. Hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu pertimbangan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran matematika pada siswa SMA.Kata kunci: kecemasan matematika, prestasi matematika, gender. ABSTRACTThis descriptive kuantitative study aims to describe level of highschool students’ mathematics anxiety based on gender and its relation towards mathematics achievement. A total of 113 girls and 80 boys were presented with mathematics anxiety questionnaire. It was analized by t-test and anova. The result show that the girls have higher level of mathemathics anxiety than boys. For both girls and boys, mathematics anxiety has positive correlation towards mathematics achievement for low-achiever students, while it has negative correlation for high-achiever students. It means the middle achiever students tends to have high level of mathematics achievement. Indicator which gets the highest mathematics anxiety level is when the students face pop quiz/test. There are two more indicators for the girls; when the student worries about his/her score can not pass the minimum criteria. This article is recomended as one of referrence to design mathematics learnign strategy for highschool students. Keywords: mathematics anxiety, gender, junior high school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membentuk keterampilan pemecahan masalah melalui model IDEAL Problem Solving. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif kolaboratif dengan teknik pengambilan subjek penelitian yaitu purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu terfokus pada keterampilan pemecahan masalah subjek penelitian. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari subjek S.A, S.B, S.C, dan S.D. Keempat subjek penelitian dilakukan pengamatan, alat perekaman, dan wawancara untuk menggali informasi mendalam dan pendapat, sehingga diperoleh gambaran keterampilan pemecahan masalah subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan pemecahan masalah S.A, S.B, S.C., dan S.D melalui model  IDEAL Problem Solving dengan teori pemrosesan informasi dapat terbentuk.This research aims to form problem solving skills through IDEAL Problem Solving model. This research was a qualitative collaborative research. The technique of research subject taking was purposive sampling. Sampling with particular consideration focuses on problem solving skills of research subjects. Research subjects consist of subjects S.A, S.B, S.C, and S.D. The four subjects of the study were observed, recorded, and interviewed to explore in-depth information and opinions, to obtain a description of the problem solving skills of the research subjects. The results show that problem solving skills of S.A, S.B, S.C., and S.D through IDEAL Problem Solving model with information processing theory can be formed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get results of interactive CD development valid, practical and effective statistical material. The type of this research is development research which refers to ADDIE (Analysis, Desigh, Development, Implementation aand Evaluatin). The subject of this research is xi grade of SMK Bhakti Praja 2 Batang. The instrument used in this research is (1) media expert evaluation questionnaire (2) material expert evaluation questionmire (3) student response questionnaire (4) student evaluation questions. The method used in gathering the data is, by doing observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results of this study show the validty quality of the interactive CD meetr valid criteria shown by media experts who obtained and average score of 3,8 from maximum score 4 which is good, while material experts get 4,1 from maximum score 5 which means good. Quality of practicality of learning devices practical criteria indicate by the average score of student 4,01 from maximum score 5 which means good. Quality of effectiveness of learning devices in terms of students’ mathematical communication skills meet practical criteria shown by the percentage of students completeness 87,5% which means good. Of the 32 student, there are 28 students who had completed grads.Kata kunci: Development, Interactive CD, ADDIE model.

Abstract

Guru berperan dalam membantu proses pengkontruksian pengetahuan siswa, yakni dengan guru tidak mentrasferkan pengetahuan yang dimilikinya, melainkan membantu siswa untuk membentuk pengetahuannya sendiri. Pengetahuan dapat dibentuk siswa berdasarkan pengalaman, kreativitas dan bantuan atau dukungan dari pihak guru, oleh karena itu guru harus mampu menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang efektif dengan menambahkan konsep pada siswa melalui pendekatan dan media yang sesuai dengan materi, dan perkembangan siswa dalam memahami materi. Pembelajaran interaktif berbasis komputer mampu mengaktifkan siswa untuk belajar dengan motivasi yang tinggi karena ketertarikannya pada sistem multimedia, salah satu modul atau bahan ajar perlu dikembangkan agar siswa menyukai matematika, dan lebih termotivasi dalam belajar mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan e-modul berbasis Kvisoft Flipbook Maker pada mata pelajaran matematika materi satuan panjang kelas 3 SD, metode pada penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Research & Development model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu : 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation. Hasil dari penelitin ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai efektivitas oleh respon guru mendapat skor 90% dengan kriteria ?sangat baik? dan juga respon siswa rata-rata skor 79,27% dengan kriteria ?Layak?, berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa penerapan e-modul berbasis Kvisoft Flipbook Maker efektif digunakan pada materi satuan panjang mata pelajaran matematika kelas 3 SD.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find out which is better between mathematics learning outcomes in Cokroaminoto Batang Junior High School students who are taught using the Cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) or those who are taught using the Cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in the material mathematics field rectangular. The sample of this study consisted of 2 classes, namely experimental class 1 and experimental class 2 using the NHT and STAD methods. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection methods used are documentation and test methods. Research instruments in the form of learning tools and mathematics test results. Data analysis performed was a prerequisite test using the average similarity test and hypothesis testing by calculating the average. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of experimental class 1 students amounted to 76,875 and experimental class 2 amounted to 72,56667 which means that classroom learning outcomes taught by NHT type cooperative learning models were better than classroom learning outcomes taught by the STAD type cooperative learning models. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the NHT type of cooperative learning model is more effective when compared to the STAD type cooperative learning model on the subject of quadrilateral in class VII students of Cokroaminoto Batang Middle School Academic Year 2018/2019 Keywords: STAD type cooperative learning model, NHT type cooperative learning model, learning outcomes .

Abstract

Children’s characteristics can become absolute, and it can be understood in child’s development. Children’s characteristics is not formed by itself but needs to be directed and provided guidance in knowledge, so supports children's creativity. This research aims to improve the cognitive abilities of children for their ability of sorting numbers through playing card numbers in Group A TK Handayani VI Bantarbolang Village Wanarata Bantarbolang sub-district, Pemalang Regency. This is a classroom action research (CAR) with 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 14 students of Group A. The data collection methods used were observation and documentation. The instrument was tested for its validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The result shows that the pre-action activities scored to 35%, and reached an increase in the first cycle to 50%, then reached to 80% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the research hypothesis, which states the number symbol printed on the playing cards can improve the children’s cognitive ability, was accepted because it was evidence from the result that there was an increase to the higher score.

Abstract

The importance of learning mathematics can not be separated from its role in all aspects of everyday life. Communicating ideas using language and mathematical notation is even more practical, systematic, and efficient. Recognizing the importance of mathematical communication skills then as a prospective educator should seek learning that can provide opportunities and encourage students to trained the ability of mathematical communication. Indicator of mathematical communication ability in this research include grammatical ability (K1) and sociolinguistic ability (K2). The subject of high school mathematics curriculum is a compulsory course that must be taken, because it will be discussed about the subject matter of school math and various models. One of the learning model that meets the indicator of mathematical communication ability is IDEAL Problem Solving model.This study aims to improve the ability of mathematical communication in grammatical and sociolinguistic aspects. The type of research used is classroom action research based on Stephen Kemmi and Robin Mc Taggart models. From the result of the research, it is found that the application of IDEAL Problem Solving model of high school mathematics curriculum can improve mathematical communication ability in grammatical (K1) and sociolinguistic (K2) aspect. The percentage of grammatical aspect (K1) increased from 78% to 89% and sociolinguistic aspects (K2) increased from 81% to 89%.
