Abstract

Abstract: Asbāb al-Nuzūl (occasions of revelation) is event becoming background send down the verse of  the Quran. Scope solution of Asbāb al-Nuzūl only relating to event degrading of the verse of  the Quran especially in event relation and word expression, that include texts or materials. This science is very importance in order to interpret the verses of the Quran. This is not mean that it is to generalize interpretation entire verses of the Quran with Asbāb al-Nuzūl, because there is not all verses of the Quran send down with Asbāb al-Nuzūl. But, for the verses of the Quran have Asbāb al-Nuzūl, that its interpretation is more authentic. Abstrak: Asbāb al-Nuzūl  adalah peristiwa yang menjadi latar belakang turunnya ayat al-Quran. Ruang lingkup pembahasan Asbāb al-Nuzūl hanya berkaitan dengan peristiwa diturun­kannya ayat al-Quran terutama dalam hubungan peristiwa dan ungkapan kata, baik teks ayat, maupun redaksi ayat.Ilmu ini sangat penting dalam rangka menafsirkan ayat-ayat al-Quran.Hal ini bukan berarti menggeneralisasi keharusan menafsirkan seluruh ayat al-Quran dengan Asbāb al-Nuzūl, karena tidak semua ayat al-Quran turun disertai dengan Asbāb al-Nuzūl. Akan tetapi bagi ayat-ayat al-Quran yang memiliki Asbāb al-Nuzūl, maka penafsirannya akan lebih otentik. Abstract

The article examines typological category of al-Shawk?n??s ?theological product?, which cannot be categorized as a part of Sunn?. This view is hold by Mu?ammad ?usayn al-Dhahab? and Mu?ammad ?Al? Ay?z?. Al-Dhahab? concludes that al-Shawk?n??s theological thought is seen as being Sunn? but his work, Fat? al-Qad?r, is classified as al-Zayd?yah. Ay?z?, on the other side, says that al-Shawk?n??s theology tends to be more similarly rational to al-Zayd?yah and al-Mu?tazilah. The author seeks to discuss the issue by exploring al-Shawk?n??s interpretation of theological verses on free will, pre-destination, and the relevance of revelation and human?s ratio. This study finds that al-Shawk?n??s theological arguments tend to be closely similar to Ahl al-Sunnah?s theological doctrines compare to that of al-Mu?tazilah and al-Zayd?yah although he surroundedly grew up among the very rational al-Zayd?yah. It can be observed, for an instance, in his view of human?s deeds which clearly indicates him as having close position to the thought of al-M?turid?yah Bukh?ra. In terms of the relevance of human?s ratio and the function of revelation, al-Shawk?n??s theological arguments are harmonious with al-Ash?ar?yah?s ideology.

Abstract

Abû Zayd was born on july 1, 1943 in a village called Tanta, the provincial capital of al-Gharbîyah, Egypt. Abû Zayd is very concerned with the study of the Koran.
