Abstract

The aim of these study was to examine the effect of the replacement fish meal with chicken feather meal (CFM) for eel Anguilla bicolor larvae. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of Ichthyology, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University on September to October 2017. The Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 7 treatments and 4 replications were used in this study. The  tested dosage of CFM were of 0% CFM (control), 10% CFM, 20% CFM, 30% CFM, 40% CFM, 50% CFM and 60% CFM, where each treatment were contained of protein 32.26% (0% CFM), 33.09% (10% CFM), 36.20% (20% CFM), 39.10% (30% CFM), 41.22% (40% CFM), 45.43 ( 50% CFM) and 40.02% (60% CFM). The experimental fish were stocked in the plastic container at the stocking density of 15 fish container-1 and fed the experimental diets at the feeding level of 10% body weight a day for 60 days. The results showed that the application of CFM in the diet was not given a significant effect on the weight gain, daily weight gain, specific growth rate (P0.05). In addition, the fish fed on CFM did not show growth rate even reduces the body weight of the experimental fish. It is concluded that the application of the CFM in diet gave the negative effect on the growth performance of the eel larvae.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian dosis vitamin C terhadap fekunditas ikan bawal (Colossoma macropomum). Penelitian ini berlangsung pada bulan Agustus – September 2019 di unit pelayanan Teknis Balai Benih Ikan (UPT-BBI) Krueng Batee, Aceh Barat Daya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (kontrol) tidak diberikan vitamin C, sedangkan pada perlakuan B, C dan D masing-masing diberikan vitamin C dengan dosis 600 mg/kg pakan, 1200 mg/kg pakan, dan 1800 mg/kg pakan. Parameter yang diamati adalah pertambahan bobot induk, diameter telur dan fekunditas.Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analysis of varians (ANOVA).Hasil  uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian vitamin C pada induk ikan bawal berpengaruh nyata (P0,05) terdapat pertambahan bobot induk, diameter telur dan fekunditas. Berdasarkan uji lanjut Duncan hasil terbaik pada penelitian ini diperoleh pada perlakuan C, dengan dosis 1200 mg/kg pakan dengan nilai pertambahan bobot induk 0,044 kg, diameter telur 1,23 mm dan fekunditas 216,47 butir. Kata Kunci: Ikan bawal (Colossoma macropomum),fekunditas, vitamin C.ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to investigate the effect of vitamin C on the fecundity of Colossoma macropomum. The study was carried out from August – September 2019 at Unit Pelaksana Teknis Balai Benih Ikan (UPT-BBI) Krueng Batee, Aceh Barat Daya. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely A (control) treatment was not given vitamin C, while on the treatment of B, C and D respectively administered vitamin C at a dose of 600 mg/kg feed, 1200 mg/kg feed, and 1800 mg/kg feed. The measured parameters were broodstock weight gain, egg diameter, and fecundity. The Data was analyzed using the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The ANOVA test showed the vitamin C administration on the broodstocks of Colossoma macropomum significantly affect (P0.05) the broodstock weight gain, egg diameter, and fecundity. Based on Duncan's test the best result on this study was obtained at the C treatment, at a dose of 1200 mg/kg feed with broodstock weight gain 0.044 kg, the egg diameter 1.23 mm and the fecundity 216.47 eggs.Keyword: Colossoma macropomum, fecundity, Vitamin C

Abstract

 ABSTRACT     The purposes of study were to determine the relationship between weight length and hand feeding habits of longtailThunnus (Thunnus tonggol). This research was conducted in the water at Southwest Aceh from August 2018 to November 2018 which was located at the  PPI (Fish Landing Base) in Ujung Serangga, Susoh sub-district. Longtail Thunnus (Thunnus tonggol) is known as pelagic fish that has economic value in Indonesian fisheries. The spread of this species is quite unique compared to other species belonging to the genus Thunnus which are commonly found in the deep see. This study used the Analysis of Linear Allometrick Model (LAM) equation. The longtail (Thunnus tonggol) was taken  from the catch of the fishermen. The number of longtail (Thunnus tonggol) observed by the weight-length were 246 fish and the observation sample of fish feeding habit was 27 fish. The total length of the fish ranges from 39.5 cm - 67.5 cm and the weigh t of the  fish is around  956 - 4847g. The results analysis of the long-weight relationship of longtail (Thunnus tonggol) using the formula found that the longtail growth pattern was negative Allometric with a value of b 2.792 where the length increase was faster than the body weight gain. The food of longtail (Thunnus tonggol) is composed of anchovies, shrimp, and squid. The main feed of longtail is anchovy with the highest preponderance  index value of 95.4%. Fish intestine length of an average of  20-34 (cm). Therefore, it was obtained that the relative intestine length (RLG) of longtail 1: 0.29 of the total length.Keywords : Length–Weight Relationship, Feeding Habits, Longtail  ABSTRAK     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  hubungan panjang berat dan kebiasaan makan ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggol). Penelitian ini dilakukan di perairan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya pada bulan Agustus 2018 sampai bulan November 2018 yang berlokasi di PPI (Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan) Ujung Serangga, Kecamatan Susoh, Kabupaten setempat. Ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggol) adalah ikanpelagis yang mempunyai nilai ekonomis dalam perikananIndonesia. Penyebaran spesies ini tergolong unikdibandingkan spesies lain yang termasuk genus Thunnusyang umumnya ditemukan di laut dalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Analisis persamaan Linear Allometrick Model (LAM). Ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggol) tersebut adalah di peroleh dari hasil tangkapan para nelayan. Jumlah ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggol) yang diamati panjang berat berjumlah 246 ekor ikan dan sampel pengamatan kebiasaan makan ikan adalah berjumlah 27 ekor. Panjang total ikan bekisar 39,5 cm – 67,5 cm dan berat ikan antara 956 - 4847g. Hasil analisa hubungan panjang berat ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggo)dengan menggunakan rumus didapatkan Pola pertumbuhan ikan tongkol Abu-abu bersifat Allometrik negatif dengan nilai b 2,792 dimana pertambahan panjang lebih cepat berbanding pertambahan bobot tubuh. Kebiasaan makan ikan tongkol abu-abu (Thunnus tonggol)adalah terdiri dari ikan teri, udang, dan cumi-cumi. Makanan utama ikan tongkol abu-abu yaitu ikan teri dengan nilai indeks preponderance yang paling tertinggi nilainya sebesar 95,4%. panjang usus ikan rata-rata 20-34 (cm). maka diperoleh panjang usus relative (RLG) ikan tongkol abu-abu 1 : 0,29 dari panjang total nya. Kata kunci : Hubungan Panjang Berat, Kebiasaan Makan, Tongkol

Abstract

The research about community structure of periphyton on macroalgae Ulva lactuca has been done in coastal waters Ulee Lheue, Banda Aceh. The purpose of this research was to know the periphyton community structure consisting of abundance, diversity index, evenness index, and dominance index, and calculate the area covered macroalgae Ulva lactuca. The research has been started from February until March 2016. The results showed that perifiton on macroalgae Ulva lactuca consists of classes Bacillariophyceae (13 species), class Chrysophyceae (1 species), class Cyanophyceae (3 species), class Dinophyceae (1 species), class Gastropoda (1 species), class Malacostraca (4 species), class Maxillopoda (2 species), class Pyramimonadophyceae (1 species), and class Ophiuroidea (1 species). Abundance of perifiton is 51.390-139.220 ind/cm2 where each observation site has a cover of macroalgae Ulva lactuca were classified as very good category. Bacillariophyceae class dominated in every site with coverage 56.809 ind/cm2. Perifiton diversity index ranged from 1,87 to 2,36 were classified category, evenness index ranged from 0,70 to 0,86 relatively high category, while the dominance index ranged from 0,12 to 0,23 relatively low category. Based on the values obtained, the community structure of periphyton on macroalgae Ulva lactuca in coastal waters Ulee Lheue ecological pressure indicates a moderately low level of dominance and the community was in stable condition.  Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai struktur komunitas perifiton pada makroalga Ulva lactuca di perairan pantai Ulee Lheue, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas perifiton yang terdiri dari kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, dan indeks dominansi, serta menghitung luas tutupan makroalga Ulva lactuca. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perifiton pada makroalga Ulva lactuca terdiri dari kelas Bacillariophyceae (13 spesies), kelas Chrysophyceae (1 spesies), kelas Cyanophyceae (3 spesies), kelas Dinophyceae (1 spesies), kelas Gastropoda (1 spesies), kelas Malacostraca (4 spesies), kelas Maxillopoda (1 spesies), kelas Pyramimonadophyceae (1 spesies), dan kelas Ophiuroidea (1 spesies). Kelimpahan perifiton yaitu 51.390-139.220 ind/cm2, dimana setiap titik pengamatan memiliki tutupan makroalga Ulva lactuca yang tergolong kategori sangat baik. Kelas Bacillariophyceae mendominasi di setiap titik pengamatan dengan jumlah rata-rata 56.809 ind/cm2. Indeks keanekaragaman perifiton  berkisar 1,87-2,36 tergolong kategori sedang, indeks keseragaman berkisar 0,70-0,86 tergolong kategori tinggi, sedangkan indeks dominansi berkisar 0,12-0,23 tergolong kategori rendah. Berdasarkan nilai yang diperoleh, struktur komunitas perifiton pada makroalga Ulva lactuca di perairan pantai Ulee Lheue menunjukan tekanan ekologi yang sedang dengan tingkat dominansi rendah dan komunitas berada dalam kondisi stabil

Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2017 and the objective of study was to identify the species of epifauna associated in mangrove rehabilitation area at Iboih beach, Sukakarya District Sabang City. The method used was purposive sampling where the research area was divided into 3 stations with three repetitions. The data were collected using 10 m x 10 m square plot at all stations. The results showed that 4 species of epifauna were found, namely: Saccostrea Cucullata, Littorina Scabra, Litorina sp. and Uca sp. The abundance of batching seedlings ranged from 0.31to 12.73 individual/m2, and mangrove densities ranged from 0.20 to 0.12 individual/m2. Chemical and physical factors showed salinity, DO, temperature and pH values were still in normal condition.       Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2017 dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis biota penempel yang berasosiasi di kawasan mangrove rehabilitasi Pantai Iboih, Kecamatan Sukakarya Kota Sabang. Metode yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dimana kawasan penelitian dibagiatas 3 stasiun, dan setiap stasiu ndilakukan tiga kali pengulangan. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan petak kuadrat dengan ukuran 10 m x 10 m pada semua stasiun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan pantai Iboih Kecamatan Sukakarya Kota Sabang ditemukan 4 spesies biota penempel yaitu: Saccostrea cucullata, Littorina Scabra, Litorinasp.danUcasp. Kelimpahan biota penempel berkisar antara 0,31 sampai dengan 12,73 ind/m2, dan kerapatan mangrove berkisar antara 0,20 sampai dengan 0,12 ind/m2. Faktor Fisika Kimia memperlihatkan nilai salinitas, DO, suhu dan pH masih dalam kondisi normal.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to assess the effect of clove oil (Syzygium aromaticum) as an anesthetic and to determine optimum dose of the clove oil on survival rate of milk fish (Chanos chanos) post larvae in wet media for 7 hours transportation. The study was conducted in June 2016. Non factorial completely randomized design was used with 7 treatments and three replications. The tested treatments were the dosage of clove oil, 0 ppm, 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm, 20 ppm, 25 ppm and 30 ppm. The fish density was 300 post larvae per 1 liter. The ANOVA test showed that clove oil gave a significant  affect on the survival rate of fish (P0.05). The highest survival rate of fish was obtained at control after 6 hours transportation reaching 67.33% and but the survival rate was declined to 0,67% after 7 hours, this value was lower then 25 ppm. The anesthesia was not necessary when transportation less than 6 hours. The anaetesia was needed when transportation higher than 6 hours, is the best result was found at dosage of 25 ppm. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai efek dari minyak cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum) sebagai obat bius dan untuk menentukan dosis optimum dari minyak cengkeh pada tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) pada tahap post larva media basah untuk transportasi 7 jam. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2016. Non faktorial rancangan acak lengkap digunakan dengan 7 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah dosis minyak cengkeh, 0 ppm, 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm, 20 ppm, 25 ppm dan 30 ppm. Kepadatan ikan adalah 300 post larva per 1 liter air. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa minyak cengkeh memberikan dampak yang signifikan pada tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan (P 0,05). Tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi ikan diperoleh pada kontrol setelah transportasi 6 jam mencapai 67,33% dan namun tingkat kelangsungan hidup ditolak untuk 0,67% setelah 7 jam, nilai ini lebih rendah dari 25 ppm. anestesi tidak diperlukan apabila transportasi kurang dari 6 jam. anaetesia itu dibutuhkan ketika transportasi lebih tinggi dari 6 jam,  hasil terbaik pada penelitian ini ditemukan pada dosis 25 ppm.

Abstract

This research was conducted in September - October 2016. The purpose of this research was to know the abundance and diversity gastropod and bivalve in mangrove ecosystemGampong Ie Masen Muara Tiga Pidie. The technique sampling used was purposive sampling. The data was collected during the low tide. The samples was taken on three stations with three repetitions. The technique data sampling of gastropod and bivalve was performed by using technique 1 m × 1 m transect quadrate. The data analysis was done by using the formula of abundance and index of diversity. From the data analysis result was found that 13,08ind/m2 gastropod and 12,76 ind/m2 from bivalve. Its abundance ranged from 23,65 – 27,98 ind/m2. The diversity index (H') at each station ranges from 2,57 – 2,95. This result showed that gastropods and bivalves in the mangrove ecosystem Gampong Ie Masen have moderate diversity. The type of mangroves at this research location is Rhizoporastylosa with density 0,09 – 0,19 ind /m2.       Penelitian inidilakukan padabulan September - Oktober2016.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman kelas gastropoda dan kelas bivalvia di ekosistem mangrove Gampong Ie Masen Kecamatan Muara Tiga Kabupaten Pidie. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada saat air surut. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiga stasiun dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Pengambilan data sampel gastropoda dan bivalvia dilakukan dengan menggunakan transek kuadrat 1 m × 1 m. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus kelimpahan dan indeks keanekaragaman. Dari data hasil penelitian diketahui 13,08 ind/m2gastropoda yang ditemukan dan 12,76 ind/m2 daribivalvia. Kelimpahannya berkisar23,65 – 27,98ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman (H') pada setiap stasiun berkisar antara2,57 - 2,95. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gastropoda dan bivalvia pada ekosistem mangrove Gampong Ie Masen memiliki keanekaragaman yang sedang. Jenis mangrove pada lokasi penelitian ini adalah Rhizoporastylosa dengan kerapatan 0.09 - 0.19ind/m2.

Abstract

    Research on species composition and abundance of phytoplankton in Ujong Pie waters of Muara Tiga, Pidie to find out the composition and abundance of phytoplankton. This research was conducted on February 2017 in Ujong Pie waters, Muara Tiga District, Pidie, Aceh. Sampling station was determined by purposive sampling method which is determination of research based on difference characteristic obtained after survey that is difference of fisherman activity, difference of current and wave Sampling, where samples were taken at 06.00-8.00 WIB, 11:00 13:00 WIB and 16:00  18:00 WIB. The composition of phytoplankton was found in the sea waters of Ujong Pie consists of four classes namely. Dinophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Bacillariophyceae class found in 73% consist of 11 species. Abundance of species ranges from 25482,63 ind/L –39382,2 ind / L and the highest type of Navicula sp.       Penelitian tentang komposisi jenis dan kelimpahan Fitoplankton diperairan Ujong Pie Kecamatan Muara Tiga Kabupaten Pidie Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui komposisi dan kelimpahan Fitoplankton.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2017 di Perairan Ujong Pie Kecamatan Muara Tiga Kabupaten Pidie Provinsi Aceh. Stasiun sampling  ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling yaitu penentuan lokasi penelitian dengan adanya tujuan tertentu berdasarkan perbedaan karakteristik stasiun yang diperoleh setelah survey yaitu perbedaan aktivitas nelayan, perbedaan arus dan gelombang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode ciduk, dimana sampel permukaan air laut diambil pada pukul 06.00-08.00 WIB, 11.00-13.00 WIB dan 16.00-18.00 WIB.Komposisi jenis-jenis fitoplankton yang ditemukan di perairan laut Ujong Pie terdiri dari empat kelas yaitu. Dinophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Bacillariophyceae. Kelas Bacillariophyceae yang ditemukan sebesar 73% terdiri dari 11 spesies. Kelimpahan jenis berkisar 25482,63 ind/L –39382,2 ind/L dan jenis tertinggi yaitu Navicula sp.

Abstract

 This research was aimed to find out spesies, intensity and prevalence of ectoparasites on Vannamei which was cultivated in di Lhoong, Seulimeum, and Mesjid Raya. This research was done at karantina Fisheries quality control laboratory safety of the fisheries from 23 october to 16 September 2016. Method used in this research was survey method and descriptive analyticmethod. The result showed three kinds of ectoparasites were found on Vannamei  Zoothamnium sp., Epistylis sp. and Vorticella sp. The highest intensity and prevalence of parasite found on Vannamai was Vorticella sp. s with average intensity of  34 ind/fish with prevalence of 90%. The result of parameters quality of waters showed in Aceh besar the temperature were 28.3 – 32.5°C, pH were 5,5 – 6,6 and salinity were 22 – 26 ppt. The highest values for intensity and prevalence of parasite found on vannamei in Lhoong Aceh BesarPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis, intensitas dan prevalensi ektoparasit pada udang Vannamei yang dibudidayakan di Kecamatan Lhong, Seulimeum, dan Kecamatan Mesjid Raya pada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Stasiun Karantina Ikan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas 1 Aceh Besar dari tanggal 23 Oktober sampai 16 Desember 2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dan deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian terdapat tiga jenis ektoparasit yang sama pada udang Vannamei yang dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Aceh Besar yaitu  Zoothamnium sp., Epistylis sp. dan Vorticella sp. Intensitas dan prevalensi ektoparasit tertinggi ditemukan pada Kecamatan Seulimeum yaitu Vorticella sp. sebesar 34 ind/ekor  dengan prevalensi 90%. Hasil parameter kualitas air menunjukkan bahwa suhu pada Kabupaten Aceh Besar berkisar antara 28,3–32,5⁰C, pH berkisar antara 5,5–6,6  dan salinitas di Kabupaten Aceh Besar berkisar antara 22–26 ppt. w:LsdExc

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of coconut water on the growth of Nannochloropsis sp. This research was conducted from August to September 2016 at laboratory of BPBAP Ujung Batee, Aceh Besar. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were A = 0 ml coconut water + 2000 ml sea water, B = 50 ml coconut water + 1950 ml sea water, C = 100 ml coconut water + 1900 ml sea water, D = 150 ml coconut water + 1850 ml sea water, and E = 200 ml coconut water + 1800 ml sea water. The result of Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) showed that the coconut water gave significant effect (P0,05) on the growth of Nannochloropsis sp. The best result was obtained at treatment E (200 ml) with the average of population density was 21,425 cell/ml.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air kelapa dan dosis terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan populasi Nannochloropsis sp. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium BPBAP Ujung Batee, Kabupaten Aceh Besar pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2016. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan yaitu A = 0 ml air kelapa + 2000 ml air laut, B = 50 ml air kelapa + 1950 ml air laut, C = 100 ml air kelapa + 1900 ml air laut, D = 150 ml air kelapa + 1850 ml air laut, dan E = 200 ml air kelapa + 1800 ml air laut. Hasil uji Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air kelapa dengan dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan Nannochloropsis sp. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan E = (200 ml) dengan rerata kepadatan populasi 21.425 sel/ml.
