Abstract

Serat sabut kelapa merupakan limbah dari buah kelapa yang pemanfaatannya sangat terbatas. Polipropilena adalah limbah plastik yang sulit di dekomposisi oleh mikroorganisme pengurai, sehingga dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi lingkungan. Kedua bahan ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan komposit yang diharapkan dapat bernilai ekonomis. Polipropilena digunakan sebagai matriks, sedangkan serat sabut kelapa dengan variasi panjang serat 3 cm, 5 cm dan 7 cm digunakan sebagai filler.  Proses  pembuatan  komposit  dengan  cara  kempa  panas  dilakukan  dengan variasi komposisi (polipropilena:serat) pada 90% : 10%, 80% : 20 %, 70% : 30% dan 60% : 40%. Plastik dilelehkan pada suhu titik leleh (170oC) ditambahkan serat sabut kelapa sebagai penguat dengan bahan pengikat anhidrida maleat dan pemicu benzoil peroksida, akan dihasilkan komposit dengan kekuatan tarik maksimum pada komposisi  90%  :  10%  pada  panjang  serat  5  cm  yaitu  3339,08  kgf/cm2   dan perpanjangan maksimum diperoleh pada komposisi 80% : 20% pada panjang  serat 7 cm yaitu 20%.Kata kunci: serat sabut kelapa, plastik polipropilena, komposit, uji tarik.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of leadership on organizational effectiveness. Quantitaviemethod was used to collect data, by the questionnaires, and distributed to employees at PTAdira Dinamika Multi Finance Tbk, Pekanbaru. The results of this study showed that sigvalue of 0.001, fewer than probability value of 0.05. Moreover,leadership has t value of -3.396 with t table of -1.985. In conclusion, leadership significantly explained organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematical concepts through a problem-based learning approach on the students class VII.B State Junior High School 1 Towuti East Luwu Regency. The type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of the study were students of class VII.B State Junior High School 1 Towuti is 32 people. Data were collected using observation, written tests, and documentation, while the data of the research are analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the mathematics learning outcomes of the set of concepts increased through the problem-based learning approach. In Cycle I, the mathematics learning outcomes of the set of sets in either category (average 71.25) or 53.12 percent. In Cycle II, the results of  mathematics learning increased to very good category (average 85.47) and reached learning mastery criteria is 90.62 percent. The improvement of mathematics learning outcomes is supported by the improvement of student learning activities, such as: liveliness to pay attention to teacher explanation, recording set material, solve group problem, question with friend and teacher in the solution of the set problem, and to conclude the set matter
