Abstract

Indonesia is a developing country with an uneven educational infrastructure development. It impacts the number of students from rural areas to big cities to get a decent education. Many of those students are experiencing difficulties when entering a new culture, thus disrupting their adjustment, especially in learning styles. The purpose of this study is to investigate any possible correlation between cultural intelligence and Grasha learning style. Participants in this study were 121 students in DKI Jakarta. Cultural Intelligence Scale and Grasha-Riecment Learning Scale Style were used as instruments in this study. Using regression analysis, it was found that 2 of 6 learning style (Collaborative learning style and Independent learning style) were found to have significant role in Cultural Intelligents.

Abstract

This study took 4 Islamic Religious Education teachers and 3 parents of students to convey their views on learning Islamic Religious Education at home during this pandemic. This study used qualitative research methods. It can be concluded in this study that learning Islamic Religious Education at home is considered less effective. Parents and teachers agree that studying at home is less effective, where teachers have difficulty evaluating and cannot understand students' abilities. Parents have limited ability and time to accompany learning. And students are not disciplined in learning so they play more than learn. The solution offered in this study is for parents and teachers to work together by opening a meeting via WhatsApp group or video conference to discuss what teachers and parents hope to achieve with the school as well, of course. As well as for local governments that are sustainable with the Education Office and Schools to work together to implement health protocols for students and teachers so that learning can be carried out face-to-face by reducing the number of students in the class and maintaining distance or making learning shifts. Even though with a short time getting the material, this is even more beneficial than studying at home As well as for local governments that are sustainable with the Education Office and Schools to work together to implement health protocols for students and teachers so that learning can be carried out face-to-face by reducing the number of students in the class and maintaining distance or making learning shifts.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is the ability to recognize Latin letters in early childhood in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field and the teacher has not used an effective and efficient media in learning to recognize Latin letters. This study aims to process learning activities in the form of activities of teachers, students and parents in the ability to recognize Latin letters in early childhood in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field through the process of learning the introduction of Latin letters in early childhood. The results showed that there were some weaknesses and strengths in learning Latin letters recognition. Because children lack enthusiasm in learning because the media conducted by teachers is less effective. Therefore there must be cooperation between parents of students and teachers so that students also study at home not only studying at Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field but at home must also be taught by parents so that the ability to recognize Latin letters can die. Because so far researchers see the lack of cooperation between teachers and parents in working together in educating young children in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah so the level of children's ability to recognize Latin letters is different.

Abstract

Background subtraction has various of methods including mixture of gaussian 2 and k-nearest neighbor. Some vehicle speed detection system in previous research have different accuracy in detecting speed of vehicle. The different of accuracy arose the idea to compare the accuracy in detecting the speed of vehicles using the mixture of gaussian 2 with k-nearest neighbor supplied by OpenCV 3.0 library. During this research, four video has been recorded with scenario ofvehicle speed 20 km/h, 40 km h, 50 km/h and 60 km/h. Each video has different vehicle’s speed. The program was designed and built using mixture of 2 gaussian and k-nearest neighbor. Vehicle speed parameter retrieval conducted by 10 tests of four videos, which are 20km.avi, 40km.avi, 50km.avi and 60km.avi.The speed detected at each videois compared with the actual speed to obtain such further information as percentage of error accuracy of the two methods. From the test results, it is obtained that percentage error of mixture of gaussian 2 method is 0,36%-23,73%of the actual speed. The percentage error of k-nearest neighbor method is 64.2%-58,85% of the actual speed.

Abstract

The post-colonialism syndrome is very difficult to remove in developing countries. Almost all areas of life are still connected with colonialization practices, including the development of science. The development of modernity and globalization in the third world has increasingly marginalized lokal social science theories. The development of science is not sufficient to explain the direction of global development and answer lokal problems, academically and practically. As in the use of the concept of government science from the perspective of bestuurskunde, American politics, and good governance is such formula of western civilization, which is transmitted in the form of academic colonialism. The existence of government science academically and practically is important to transform lokal wisdom models into new perspectives. Scientific wisdom as a source of inspiration for government science academically and practically must be decolonialization and indigenization in answering governance problems. The research method is descriptive qualitative with a decolonialization approach. Data processing techniques through pragmatic dialectics, by formulating new scientific syntheses. The results of this study emphasize that the science of government as knowledge of liberation must be transformed from a spirit of liberation (decolonialization) to a scientific discourse typical of Indonesian lokal wisdom (indigenization). Indonesian lokal wisdoms such as the concept of Wanua in Soppeng, South Sulawesi, and the Civil Service of the Javanese Bureaucracy, Bugis-Makassar Political Culture, to the policy model of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom are the scientific manifestations of Indonesian government as a treasure trove of scientific wisdom. The strategy of decolonialization and indigenization of government science is needed to explain governance problems that cannot be explained by other scholars. Because the science of government is not just to improve the skills of government officials or to inspire government service practices, but also to build political and bureaucratic traditions based on their social reality.

Abstract

This article discusses islamophobia as a threat to multiculturalism in Indonesia. To test this assumption, this article uses the theory expressed by Huntington as a multicultural clash between Western civilization and Islam. The method used is qualitative-explorative with a phenomenological approach. By analysis using Nvivo 12 Pro Tools. The results of this study state that islamophobia has significantly undermined the harmonization of diversity in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the phenomenon of mutual disbelief among fellow Muslims and bigotry between Islamic groups in Indonesia. As an offer to face the threat of division from the high influence of islamophobia, it is to present Islam as rahmatan lil alamin to maintain national and state harmonization in Indonesia.
