Abstract

ABSTRAK Orto, meta, dan para fenilendiamin merupakan bahan kimia yang dilarang untuk ditambahkan sebagai pewarna rambut karena dapat mengakibatkan dermatitis, iritasi, reaksi alergi, dan kanker. Untuk dapat mengidentifikasi ketiga zat warna rambut tersebut secara simultan diperlukan sebuah metode analisis pengujian yang handal dan tervalidasi. Metode analisis menggunakan Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (KCKT) dengan detektor Ultra Violet (UV) telah dikembangkan untuk analisis identifikasi orto, meta, dan para fenilendiamin dalam sediaan pewarna rambut. Metode analisis KCKT untuk identifikasi orto, meta, dan para fenilendiamin dioptimasi dengan menggunakan pelarut metanol: air : larutan natrium askorbat 0,5% (50 : 40 : 10) dan kolom C18-fenil X-bridge (4,6 x 250 mm, ukuran partikel 5 µm) dengan fase gerak larutan dapar fosfat pH 10 : metanol (95 : 5), dengan laju alir 1,0 mL/menit dan detektor UV 290 nm. Setelah dilakukan optimasi, kemudian dilakukan validasi metode analisis. Dari hasil validasi metode analisis yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode analisis ini valid dengan nilai keseksamaan waktu retensi (orto = 1,092% meta = 1,049% dan para fenilendiamin = 0,817%) dan batas deteksi (orto = 0,132 µg/g, meta = 0,195 µg/g dan para fenilendiamin 62,468 µg/g). Kata kunci: orto, meta, dan para fenilendiamin, KCKT, optimasi dan validasi. ABSTRACT Ortho, meta, and para phenylenediamine are prohibited ingredients of hair dye because they cause dermatitis, irritation, allergic reactions, and cancer. It is required a reliable and validated method to identify all three hair dyes simultaneously. The analysis method using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with a ultra violet detector has been developed to identify ortho, meta, and para phenylenediamine in hair dye preparations. HPLC analytical method for the identification of ortho, meta , and para phenylenediamine was optimized using methanol: water: 0.5% sodium ascorbate (50: 40: 10) as a solvent and phenyl-C18 column X-bridge (4.6 x 250 mm, 5 µm particle size) with phosphate buffer solution pH 10: methanol (95: 5) as mobile phase, with a flow rate of 1.0 mL / min and UV detector at 290 nm. After optimized, the methode was validated. It can be concluded that the analysis method is valid with the retention time of ortho, meta and para phenylenediamine are 1.092%, 1.049% and 0.817%, respectively, and the limit of detection of ortho, meta, and para phenylenediamine are 0.132 µg/g, 0.195 µg/g and 62.468 µg/g, respectively. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Nitroglycerine is a drug of choice in the treatment of angina pectoris. Nitroglycerine has low dose, short time of plasma half life and liver metabolizing. This study used the formulation of microemulsion. The advantages of microemulsion transparent form, stable and has better skin penetration due to the smaller size of its droplet. This study aims at determining concentration of Tween 80 as surfactant as penetration in the nitroglycerine microemulsion. Tween 80 concentrations used were 40% (F1), 42,5% (F2) and 45% (F3). Penetration ability was tested by invitro using Franz diffusion cells. The results showed that 42,5% of the concentration of Tween 80 produces good penetration. F2 shows the measurement result of droplet size is 69,0 nm and diffusion test on the minutes of 180 for 86,00% ± 3,65. It can be concluded that the concentration of Tween 80 as surfactant of 42,5% gives microemulsion nitroglycerine with good penetration.

Abstract

Halal foods are important for Moslems and there is a Moslem’s duty to eat only Halal foods which is stated in Holly Qur’an. Moreover, government already made some regulations related to Halal certification which should be obeyed by food industries, including home industries. This research aimed to detect a porcine component in meatballs sold in Pasar Tradisional Tambun, Bekasi, West Java by using SDS-PAGE Here, we combined mechanical and chemistry methods to extract the proteins and compared the protein profiles on an acrylamide gel. We got specific bands of bovine and porcine proteins according to proteins bands that showed on the gel and after comparing with the samples we found that one sample had combining profiles in the extract. We concluded that three samples used in this research were halal, meanwhile, another sample containing porcine substances. Keywords: Halal, Proteins, Bovine, Porcine, Meatballs, SDS-PAGE.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest Muslim population country in the world, so the market demand for halal products is enormous. However, in fact, there are not many business actors who submit and have halal certificates, especially in small and medium enterprises. This problem can be due to lack of information and sufficient understanding to apply for a halal certificate. The aim of the research is to give technical guidance for preparing halal certification process. The manual method is used to provide training on the halal guarantee system for the preparation of the halal assurance system (HAS). The workshop began with a pre-test and then the presentation of halal assurance system material, the guidance on how to prepare and discussion. All the activities were done by online (WhatsApp group and zoom meeting). The training ended with the post-test to assess the improvement of knowledge of the. To analyze the difference, we used a paired T-test statistical method. The result of this research shows an increasing understanding of participants (p<0,05) through the comparison between before and after training. These activities conclude that the practice of technical guidance for facing halal certification is beneficial for small and medium enterprises in improving knowledge and capability of the halal certification process.
