Abstract

The preliminary study at SMP Negeri 5 Pati obtained an average score of 33.44. This shows that the students' mathematical problem solving ability is still low. The purpose of this study was to analyze the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who received Project Based Learning learning assisted by the Lubukethnomathematics e-module whether they could achieve the KKM score. The research method used was quantitative, quasi-experimental design, the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used, including normality test, homogeneity test, and one independent sample t test. The results showed that the average mathematical problem solvingability of students who were taught the PjBL model assisted by the Lubukethnomathematics e-module was more than 75. The conclusion of this study is that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students can achieve the KKM score

Abstract

The reasearch aim to measure improvement in the understanding concept mathematics abilities after using the Discovery Learning Model. The understanding concept mathematics abilities is one of the important goals in learning, providing an understanding that the material taught to students is not just memorization, but more than that with understanding students can better understand the concept of the subject matter itself. In this study, researchers will use the Discovery Learning model which is one of the learning models that requires students to find and find their knowledge in accordance with their own abilities, so that students' ability to understand concepts can be improved. The results of this research showed there is an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

HWDI (Indonesian Women with Disabilities Association) Kudus Regency is a community for women with disabilities located in the holy city. The problem faced is that women with disabilities have difficulty taking care of themselves, especially getting a job. Indonesia produces 3 million tonnes of coconut per year. Coconut shell waste is 360 thousand tons per year (quoted from Kagama.Co, Bulaksumur). If this condition is allowed, the waste will continue to mount, which of course will trigger environmental pollution and health problems. One of the roles of overcoming this condition is by recycling coconut shell waste and processing it into handicraft products that can be used again and even have high economic value. Through this activity the PKM team conducted training on making handicraft products by utilizing coconut shell waste, marketing training for the handicraft products produced and empowering marketing and mentoring for the sale of handicraft products to HWDI members.

Abstract

Tutoring institutions are a form of nonformal education which is expected to help students adapt to academic, social, and psychological demands. The objective of this study was to examine the implementation of tutoring attended by the fifth-grade students of SD N 03 Margoyoso. This research was a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected by using observation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the teachers’ material coaching and mastery were good during the implementation of tutoring, but most teachers were less creative and innovative in motivating the students. However, the implementation of tutoring had a good relationship with the students’ motivation. This can be seen from the students’ behaviour and responses in learning. The conclusion of this study was the relationship between the implementation of tutoring and the students’ learning motivation was good since students were persistent to learn, resilient when facing difficulties, have motivation and sharp attention in learning, excel in learning activities, and are independent when studying.

Abstract

AbstractMathematical thinking ability is the ability to use reasoning to build mathematical arguments, the ability to develop strategies or methods, understand mathematical content, and the ability to communicate ideas. The mathematical thinking ability as a learning goal and at the same time as a way to learn mathematics is an important ability to be developed in solving problems. One of the factors that influence students' mathematical thinking ability is self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of self-confidence on students' mathematical thinking ability. This research is quantitative research. The sample in this study was 72 students of VIIth grade junior high school students in Kudus Regency, Indonesia. The data collection technique consisted of a written test of mathematical thinking ability and a self-confidence questionnaire. The data analysis technique is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the study showed that self-confidence has a positive and significant effect of 25.5% on mathematical thinking ability. AbstrakKemampuan berpikir matematis adalah kemampuan menggunakan penalaran untuk membangun argumen matematis, kemampuan mengembangkan strategi atau metode, memahami isi matematis, dan kemampuan mengomunikasikan gagasan. Kemampuan berpikir matematis sebagai tujuan pembelajaran dan sekaligus sebagai cara belajar matematika merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangkan dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa adalah rasa percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 72 siswa kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Kudus, Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes tertulis kemampuan berpikir matematis dan angket kepercayaan diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebesar 25,5% terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas V SD Sambiroto menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) berbantuan alat peraga manipulatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian guru dan 32 orang siswa. Penelitian berlangsung selama 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan RME berbantuan alat peraga manipulatif. Sedangkan variabel terikatnya yaitu kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan mengajar guru dengan pendekatan RME berbantuan alat peraga manipulatif pada siklus I sebesar 2,91 (kriteria “Baik”) meningkat di siklus II 3,51 (kriteria ”Sangat Baik”), adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I 2,85 (kriteria “Baik”) menjadi 3,18 (kriteria “Sangat Baik”) pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa pada siklus I sebesar 75% dengan kriteria baik menjadi 84,37% dengan kriteria sangat baik pada siklus II. Kata kunci: pendekatan RME, komunikasi matematika, luas trapesium dan layang-layang. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to improve the student’s mathematics communication ability on fifth grade SD Sambiroto by using RME approach with manipulative media. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects are the teacher and 32 students. The research consists of 2 cycles, that is cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of four steps: plan, action, observation, and reflection. The independent variable in this research is Realistic Mathematic Education approach with manipulative media, while the dependent variable is the mathematics communication ability. Data was collected by interview techniques, observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis of the research was quantitative and qualitative analysis. The result shows that the teacher teaching skill with RME approach assisted by manipulative media was improved from 2.91 (Good criteria) on cycle I to 3.51 (Very Good criteria) on cycle II, the student learning activity is increasing from 2,85 (Good criteria) on cycle I to 3,18 (Very Good criteria) on cycle II, and there was an improvement of student’s mathematics communication ability from 75% (Good criteria) on cycle I to 84.37% (Very Good criteria) in cycle II. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini (1) untuk mengetahui apakah metode Think-Pair-Share (TPS) menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang lebih baik daripada metode ekspositori, (2) untuk mengetahui apakah prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas belajar matematika lebih tinggi lebih baik dari siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas belajar matematika lebih rendah, (3) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat interaksi antara metode TPS dan kreativitas belajar matematika siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 2 3. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah ANAVA dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Dengan ? = 0,05 menunjukkan (1) metode TPS menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang lebih baik daripada penggunaan metode ekspositori, (2) prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas belajar matematika lebih tinggi lebih baik dari siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas belajar matematika lebih rendah, (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kreativitas belajar matematika siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika ditinjau dari aktivitas belajar siswa dalam model RME melalui kartu keren pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Gebang tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Realistik Mathematic Education (RME) adalah suatu pendekatan pembelajaran matematika yang berawal dari masalah realistik sebagai sarana untuk mengonkretkan materi dan menghimpun konsep matematika. Langkah yang dapat dilakukan adalah memahami masalah, membuat perencanaan, melaksanakan rencana, dan melihat kembali hasil yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang dengan jumlah 6 siswa. Pengecekan keabsahan data  dilakukan dengan uji kredibilitas, tranferabelitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas  Proses analisa menggunakan langkah-langkah yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan model Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) di SDN 1 Gebang memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam membantu siswa menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika tentang volume bangun ruang kubus dan balok.

Abstract

Spatial abilities are very important for students to solve everyday problems, especially spatial ones. Materials are required in the form of applications on devices to make them engage for students. Local wisdom needs to be included in the material content to increase interest in learning. The use of an android-based application with ethnomathematics content is a recommended solution for learning geometry to develop spatial abilities. The research objective in this article is to analyze the practicality of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content on students' spatial abilities. The research method refers to research and development (R&D) methods. This article only examines one part of the R&D research, namely the practicality of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content. The data collection technique used was a learning response questionnaire sheet. The analysis technique used includes qualitative analysis for preliminary studies and quantitative analysis of students' and lecturers' responses to the use of android-based applications with ethnomathematics content. The results of the study show that android-based applications with ethnomathematical content are practically used to develop spatial abilities. The three aspects of practicality, namely presentation techniques, convenience, and spatial abilities show a very practical assessment. This means that Android-based applications containing ethnomathematics can be implemented in the learning process to develop spatial abilities.

Abstract

Kemampuan spasial mempunyai peran untuk membantu mengingat, berkomunikasi, memahami, dan bernalar tentang hubungan antar objek yang direpresentasikan dalam ruang. Salah satu usaha untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam memahami kemampuan spasial yaitu materi harus dikemas dengan baik dan pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan pembelajaran blended learning terhadap kemampuan spasial mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimen semu. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah instrumen tes kemampuan spasial. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah independent sample t-test. Uji prasyarat dengan melakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi pembelajaran blended learning materi geometri menghasilkan kemampuan spasial yang lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan kemampuan spasial mahasiswa pada kelas eksperimen dikategorikan tinggi dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 70,93. Sementara pada kelas kontrol lebih rendah dengan rerata skor sebesar 53,79
