Abstract

This research is about ―The Effect of Application Cooperative Learning Model Technique Make a Match Result Studying Biology in MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang‖. Based on initial observasion of the result obtained from the value of studying biology teacher that only 40% of students who achieved the minimum completeness 70. This is a problem and need to be treated with the uses of appropriate learning strategies so that these problem can be solved. In this process of learning a lot of communication is expected to occur toward the expected activity and creativity. With that in mind it was attempted to explore the uses of a cooperative learning model technique make a match. Through cooperative learning model is expected to improve students learning outcomes. This research carried on 28 October until 1st November 2013. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students taught with cooperative learning technique make a match. Sampling of this study amounted to 80 people in the class VIIIA and VIIIB class as the subject of MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang. Data retrieval result by using the instrument of learning achievement test (24 items). Data analysis using t-test and obtained tcount 3.98 at 5% level and obtained ttable 1.99, then tcount> ttable, so it can be concluded taught using cooperative learning technique make a match have a significant influence on student learning outcomes eighth grade in the subject matter of biology at MTs ‗Aisyiyah.

Abstract

Faktor utama yang menentukan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran adalah metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Kelas VII. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 4 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel ini dengan teknik cluster sampling. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar kognitif dengan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash pada materi Gejala Biotik dan Abiotik di MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Eksperimen sebesar 2,73, lebih besar dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Kontrol, yaitu 2,34. The main factor that determined the succesful of learning process was learning method. This research aimed to find out the effect of applaying of concept map method by using macromedia flash to improve students’ learning outcomes at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju. The research design was the pretest-postest non equivalent group design. The population of this research were all students at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju as many as 4 classes, and for the sample were only two classes using cluster sampling technique. T-test was used to test the hyphotesis of this research. The research result showed that there was a significant improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes by using concept map method with macromedia flash on Biotic and Abiotic material. It was showed by Ha acceptance and H0 rejection. Beside, the improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes also could be showed by gain score average of Experimental Class at 2.73, it was better than gain score average of Control Class at 2.34.

Abstract

This research was aimed at analyzing the effect of locus of control and emotional quotient on problem solving skills in adolescent of village Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. In 1231 populations of adolescents 16 -18, only 160 sampled respondents and finally as a sample to analyze the hypothesis counted 136 subjects. This is because the 15 questionnaries not return and 9 subjects didn’t fill the questionnaries completely.To analyze the hypothesis about effect of X1 and X2 variable to Y variable we use Multiple Regression analysis.  The effect of X1 and X2 variable on Y variable can be seen from Coefficient Determination (R.Square) = 0,29, indicate that 21,9% of problem solving skills is influenced by locus of control and emotional quotient. The rest, 23,2 % was cause by other variables from out side this research.Coeffient Correlation between X1 variable and  Y variable is 0,388. Score of r is bigger than r table, show that significant and positive influences are 0,388 between locus of control and problem solvings skills. Coeffient Correlation between X2 variable and  Y variable is 0,427, bigger than r table too in significancy level 5%,  that significant and positive effect between emotional quotient and problem solvings skills. r table to N=136 on believing interval 95% or significancy level 5% is 0,159. This study aimed to determine the application of learning journal as a tool in the effort to increase students understanding of Celluler Biology concept. The study was conducted at 53 second semester stundents (26 students for class 2A and 27 students for class 2B) of Biology Education Program Study of PGRI Teachers Training College, Madiun. The study was conducted during three meetings for KD 1-3 (Kompetensi Dasar=Basic Competence) of Celluler Biology Subject. The collected data were the implemented STAD data, the learning journal data and the concept understanding data. The concept understanding data were obtained by giving the quiz questions at the end of learning. The study result showed that the learning with implementation of learning journal increased from first meeting at 13.32 became 13.42 at meeting II and III, and there was the increase of quiz value from each KD on both medium and low categories.

Abstract

The research about Isolation Antibacterial Agent of jambu Bioa’s leaves and Determinated the Minimum Inhibitory Concentartion (MIC) for Escherichia coli was conducted from September – December 2005. The isolation antibacterial agent was done at Laboratory of Genetic and Biotechnology, Biology Departemen, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, University of Sriwijaya. The aims of this study were to asses antibacterial agent of Jambu bioa’s to determine the active chemical compound. The process isolation of antibacterial compounds was done in three ways : extraction by using soxhlet, fractionation by using liquid vacuum chromatographic. Antibacterial activity tested by using the agar diffusion method. The test organism were Escherichia coli. The result proved that n – hexane and aethylacetate have been examinated test bacterium Escherichia coli. Bioactive compound fraction N4, N5, N6 from n- hexane and E3, E4, E5 from aethylacetate. The active compound isolate N1 with Rf 0,22, isolate N2 with Rf 0,87 are fenol  and isolate E1 with Rf 0,6 is terpenoid.Key words : MIC, fractionation, fenol, tetracycline

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian Isolasi Senyawa Antibakteri Daun Jambu Bioa (Eugenia densiflora Bl.) dan Penentuan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimumnya (KHM) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September – Desember 2005. Isolasi senyawa antibakteri dilaksanakan di laboratorium Genetika dan Bioteknologi Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA Universitas Sriwijaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh senyawa antibakteri daun jambu bioa, menentukan golongan bahan bioaktif antibakteri, menentukan konsentrasi hambat minimumnya (KHM), dan menentukan kesetaraannya dengan tetrasiklin. Proses isolasi senyawa antibakteri dilakukan dengan tiga cara : ekstraksi dengan alat soxhlet, fraksinasi dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi cair vakum (KCV), dan pemurnian dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi kolom gravitasi bumi. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar. Bakteri yang digunakan adalah Staphylococcus aureus FNCC 0167. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak aktif n-heksana dan etilasetat. Fraksi aktif  N4, N5, N6 dan fraksi E3, E4, E5. Senyawa aktif dari n-heksana yaitu isolat N1 dengan nilai Rf 0,22 dan isolat N2 dengan nilai Rf 0,87 merupakan fenol sedangkan dari etilasetat adalah isolat E1 dengan nilai Rf 0,6 mempunyai golongan terpenoid. Nilai KHM N1, N2, E1 adalah 1,95 µg/ml; 7,81 µg/ml; 7,81 µg/ml. 1 µg/ml isolat N1, N2, E1 setara dengan 4,64 µg/ml; 1,56 µg/ml; 1,40 µg/ml tetrasiklin anhidrat. Isolat N1 merupakan isolat yang lebih tinggi aktivitasnya dibandingkan tetrasiklin anhidrat.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang menekankan siswa untuk membentuk pemahaman sendiri, merupakan cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep adalah media audio visual berupa video. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan audio visual terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa. Jenis penelitian  eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen). Desain penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini  adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP 1 Patra Mandiri Plaju. Sampel penelitian ini kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Pada proses pembelajaran, kelas eksperimen diajarkan dengan menggunakan media Audio visual berupa video dan kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan media power point (PPT). Pengambilan data menggunakan tes penguasaan konsep dengan bentuk pilihan ganda terbuka yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian uji hipotesis data Posttest menunjukan bahwa nilai Sig = 0,118 > 0,05. Sedangkan nilai thitung = 1,766 > ttabel = 1,684. Nilai rata-rata N-gain  Pretest-Posttest  kelas eksperimen 0,67 termasuk kategori sedang, sedangkan nilai rata-rata N-gain Pretest-Posttest  kelas kontrol adalah 0,57 termasuk kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media Audio Visual berupa video berpengeruh secara signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia kelas VIII SMP 1 Patra Mandiri Plaju.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is apply model of somatic, auditory, visualization and intellectually to improve student’s communication and problem solving skills on solubility equilibrium topic’s in 2nd grade sains 1 Senior High School Islamic As Shofa. The type of research is classroom action research which includes that is planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments of data collection used is through observation sheet and test. The data analysis techniques by calculating the average percentage of indicators for each activity of communication and problem solving skills observed. Based on the results of the research found that average percentage student’s communication skills in cycle I of 54,25% increase in cycle II of 78,91%. The average percentage student’s problem solving skills in cycle I of 53,60% increase in cycle II of 78,99% and has reached the predetermined success criteria. The results research of SAVI model can improve student’s communication and problem solving skills. Abstract

Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are diseases that are now a global issue because they are the entrance to HIV transmission. Female sex workers (WPS) have a high risk of contracting and transmitting STIs and HIV / AIDS due to unsafe sex behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of safe sex behavior for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections in female sex workers in Surakarta.Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was conducetd in Surakarta, Central Java, from December 2017 to January 2018. A sample of 105 female sex workers was selected by fixed disease sample. The dependent variable was safe sex behavior. The independent variables were perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, perceive threat, cues to action, and self-efficacy. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by a multiple logistic regression.Results: Safe sex behavior among female sex worker increased with strong perceived benefit (b= 0.18; 95% CI= 0.74 to 0.28; p= 0.001) and strong self-efficacy (b=0.51; 95% CI=0.25 to 0.76; p<0.001). Safe sex behavior decreased with strong perceived barrier (b= 0.15; 95% CI= -0.27 to -0.03; p=0.012). Terdapat hubungan antara persepsi manfaat, efikasi diri dan persepsi hambatan dengan perilaku seks yang aman (F= 10.351; 95% CI= 6.70 to 17.00; p<0.001; R2=23.5%).Conclusion: Safe sex behavior among female sex workers increases with strong perceived benefit and strong self-efficacy.
