Abstract

Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan tingginya risiko kegagalan dari proyek-proyek penerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk pembangunan. Salah satu tantangan utamanya adalah mendapatkan kepercayaan dari masyarakat dan memastikan bahwa program-program itu lestari. Penelitian ini akan membahas detail proses implementasi TIK untuk pembangunan menggunakan lensa Actor Network Theory. Detail proses implementasi TIK nantinya akan dianalisis berdasarkan fase-fase pada Actor Network Theory.  Studi kasus penelitian ini adalah sebuah desa bernama “Kampung Cyber” di Yogyakarta yang sudah menerapkan TIK sejak tahun 2008. Penelitian ini merupakan hasil dari studi kualitatif berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi dari masyarakat Kampung Cyber beserta dengan tokoh-tokoh utama dalam implementasi TIK. Detail temuan penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi dalam implementasinya di daerah lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Actor Network Theory mampu memetakan bagaimana proses implementasi TIK di Kampung Cyber. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan perubahan peran Ketua RT yang di masa awal menjadi sangat dominan, yang akhirnya digantikan oleh masyarakat.  AbstractPrevious studies have documented failures in various information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) projects. One of the main challenges in ICT4D project is gaining the trust of the community and ensuring its sustainability. This paper presents stories from ICT4D project implementation through the lens of Actor Network Theory (ANT). The case is a village called "Kampung Cyber" in Yogyakarta. This study employs a qualitative approach using data gathered from interviews with the main actors and observations in Kampung Cyber. Details from the findings may be adapted as a reference to ICT4D project implementation in similar context. The finding unveil that the theory is very useful to explain the implementation process along with involved actors. The study also finds that the role of the leading actor (i.e. the head of neighborhood unit)) diminishes over time and the dominant role is taken over by the community.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam tidak dipungkiri memiliki peran yang penting dalam perjalanan bangsa Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, keberadaan pendidikan Islam saat ini nampaknya sudah mulai kurang menarik minat umat. Kondisi ini membutuhkan respon yang aktif-kreatif untuk memberdayakan pendidikan Islam untuk merespon Perkembangan lingkungan, termasuk perkembangan teknologi informasi (IT). Tulisan ini menjelaskan potensi TI yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh pendidikan Islam, baik sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam maupun sebagai pengajaran Islam. Agenda aksi yang bisa dilakukan oleh pendidikan Islam untuk merespon perkembangkan TI dipresentasikan dalam akhir tulisan ini.Kata kunci: pendidikan Islam, teknologi informasi, e-learning.

Abstract

The integration of learning and Information Technology (IT) currently has a good impact on education. Besides making it easy, IT also provides opportunities to achieve learning goals anytime and anywhere. Many studies have discussed how to achieve successful learning through IT. IT here only serves as a support for learning, not as a science. This research develops a model or instrument used to achieve learning success by placing IT as a science. As a result, a learning model was successfully developed by combining several perspectives related to IT; students (Background, desire, and skill), teacher (teaching), and institution (infrastructure).

Abstract

The idea of integrating human knowledge and Islamic values, or Islamization of knowledge, has triggered fruitful discussions, but the concrete output in terms of an ‘Islamized' textbook has not occurred. In this paper, we report practical insights from the textbook writing initiative at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) to materialize the idea. Our reflection on the ongoing process has identified several challenges. These include diversity of the disciplines, limited exposure to the philosophy of knowledge, lack of ready-to-use integration methods and inadequate mastery of the Islamic legacy. To cope with the challenges, we have taken several actions, including arranging a series of workshops (on the philosophy of knowledge and integration strategies), providing relevant literature and offering technical assistance. In concluding, we present an overview of the future directions that UII will take.Keywords: textbook writing; Islamization of knowledge; integration of human knowledge.

Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak that spread rapidly around the world including in Indonesia, has affected various fields, one of which is education. The government’s policy concerning PSBB forced the schools to change th learning process into online learning. However, there are factors to consider in its application, one of which is student acceptance of the learning method. This study was conducted with the participation of 437 Indonesian high school students in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) acceptance model serving as the theoretical framework and being supplemented by three new exogenous variables. The findings suggest that the additional variable Perceived Enjoyment is the most influential factor on the acceptance of online learning systems among Indonesian high school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, of the four original exogenous variables in UTAUT, only Effort Expectancy and Facilitating Condition play a significant role in increasing students' intention to continue adopting online learning systems. The findings from this study can serve as a guide for secondary school online learning policies, even after the pandemic has ended.
