Abstract

One of the application of zeolite as a multi-function mineral is the use as catalyst. Investigation to utilize Indonesian natural zeolite as a catalyst will increase the added value and gives a chance to reduce the dependency of imported catalyst. One of the main property, which allow zeolite to be used as a catalyst, is a high silica-alumina ratio, where Si/Al >10. As a preminalry stage to form a catalyst zeolite, research has been carried out to increase the Si/Al ratio of natural mordenite from Cikalong, Tasikmalaya. The method applied is dealumination process, which is followed by calcinations and ion exchange. This process is expected to modify the Na-zeolite from natural mordenit to be a NH4-zeolite which can be transformed to a catalyst zeolite. Dealumination process is carried out using HNO3, with variable concentration and time at temperature of 85°C. Thereafter, zeolite is calcined at 700°C and is followed ion exchange process using NH4NO3. The current stage of research has been succeeded to increase the Si/Al ratio of natural mordenite from Si/Al @ 5 to Si/Al > 10. The process condition applied is dealumination with 8N HNO3 for 24 hours at 85°°C and is followed by calcinations at 700°C for 2 hours. Ion exchange is proceeded with 5% NH4NO3 for 2 hours and is followed by another calcinations at 400°C for 2 hours.

Abstract

There are many determining factors influence student learning achievement, including self-efficacy and motivation. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of self-efficacy and motivation on biology learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SSHS 1 of Cilegon city, in which the method used was survey using a quantitative-causal approach aided with path analysis. The sample used were 144 students. The results showed that the path coefficient of self-efficacy towards motivation obtained was 0.596, while the motivation for learning outcomes was 0.600, and self-efficacy toward learning outcomes through motivation was 0.358. These mean that there was a direct effect of self-efficacy towards motivation and motivation towards Biology learning outcomes, whereas indirect effect was possessed by self-efficacy towards Biology learning outcomes through motivation. Thus, teachers should give more attention to student’s self-efficacy and motivation to inact learning goals.

Abstract

Efforts to improve environmental responsibility are still being developed partially, in fact this is the result of the interaction of various factors. This study aimed to investigate the effect of personality and intention to act of the responsible environmental behavior. This research was conducted at Senior High School Insan Cendekia Madani Boarding School in the second semester of 2017-2018 academic year. The method used were survey with quantitative-causal approach. This study used three variables i.e. personality (exogenous variable/X1), intention to act (exogenous variable/X2), and responsible environmental behavior (endogenous variable/X3). The subject were 90 students from grade XI of mathematics and science. The data analysis technique was used path analysis. Based on hypothesis test conducted, the values of the path coefficient between X1 and X2 was 0.385, X2 and X3 was 0.209, X1 and X3 through X2 was 0.08. The results showed that there was significant indirect effect of personality to responsible environmental behavior through the intention to act of Senior High School students.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the relationship between School Climate with Biology Teacher Justice, Instructional Leadership with Biological Teacher Justice, and School Climate and Instructional Leadership together with Biology Teachers Justice. This research was conducted in Lebak District High School in Banten Province with a sample of 60 Biology Teachers. This study uses quantitative, descriptive methods with correlational techniques. This study uses a regression model with a significance level of α = 0.05 and the coefficient test with the Pearson Product Moment test α = 0.05. The results of the analysis show, there is a strong positive relationship with the climate between the School Climate and the Biology Teacher Justice, there is a positive relationship between Instructional Leadership and Biological Teacher Justice, including positive relationships with strong ties in School Climate and Instructional Leadership along with Justice Biology Teacher. The conclusion of this study is the positive relationship between the variables discussed, and the implications of this research can be made reference and evaluation materials for special educational institutions and the general public.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Iklim Sekolah dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi, Kepemimpinan Instruksional dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi, dan Iklim Sekolah dan Kepemimpinan Instruksional secara bersama-sama dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten dengan jumlah sampel 60 Guru Biologi.Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode dekriptif dengan teknik korelasional. Penelitian ini mengunakan uji model regresi dengan taraf signifikansi α= 0,05 dan uji koefisien korelasi dengan uji Pearson Product Moment α=0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa, Terdapat hubungan positif dengan tingkatan yang cukup kuat antara Iklim Sekolah dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi, terdapat hubungan positif antara Kepemimpinan Instruksional dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi, serta terdapat hubungan positif dengan tingkatan hubungan yang cukup kuat antara Iklim Sekolah dan Kepemimpinan Instruksional secara bersama-sama dengan Keadilan Guru Biologi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang positif antara ketiga variabel yang diteliti, dan implikasi dari peneltian ini bisa dijadikan bahan refensi dan evaluasi bagi institusi pendidikan khususnya dan khalayak umum.

Abstract

Notwithstanding that many efforts to overcome environmental problems have been carried out by several parties, yet the issues still occur. Improving students’ responsible environmental behavior (REB) can be an alternative to solve environmental problems. This study aimed to analyze the relation between the both variables (i.e. naturalist intelligence and personality) and students’ REB at SJHS 51 of Bandung. The research was carried out using quantitative descriptive method through a correlational approach. Naturalist intelligence, personality, and REB data were collected using questionnaires. The research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression at α = 0.05. The research results showed that there was a relation between: (1) naturalist intelligence and REB;. (2) personality and REB; and (3) the both predictor variables and REB. Therefore, empowering the both competencies (naturalist intelligence and personality) is the essential step to improve students’ REB.

Abstract

PENILAIAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP PADA MATERI EKOSISTEMAbstractCritical thinking skills and mastery concepts are competencies that measure cognitive aspects. Both of these competencies support each other. This study aims to analyze critical thinking skills and mastery concepts of students in the ecosystem material. This was quantitative research. The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling, namely 60 high school students. Data was collected through the critical thinking skills test and mastery concept of ecosystem tests for students and interviews with the teacher. Based on the analyzed data, the average critical thinking skills and mastery concepts of an ecosystem are 53,15 and 61,10, which are in the low category. This is because students still have difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of ecosystems; students have not understood yet the terms in the ecosystem so that the terms with their meanings are often exchanged which has an impact on the low achievement of students.AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep adalah kompetensi yang mengukur kemampuan kognitif. Kedua kompetensi tersebut saling berkaitan dan mendukung satu sama lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi Ekosistem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, yaitu 60 peserta didik SMA. Data diperoleh melalui tes tentang keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep pada materi Ekosistem yang dikerjakan oleh peserta didik dan wawancara dengan guru. Berdasarkan analisis data, rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep materi Ekosistem peserta didik, masing-masing adalah 53,15 dan 61,10. Hasil tersebut termasuk dalam kaegori rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh sulitnya peserta didik dalam memahami konsep dasar Ekosistem, belum mengertinya istilah-istilah dalam ekosistem sehingga sering terjadi pertukaran istilah dengan maknanya yang berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Responsible environmental behavior is one of important factors to protect the environment from damage. Responsible environmental behavior can be built through knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act toward the environment. This study aims to investigate the effect of knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act toward responsible environmental behavior of senior high school students. The method used were survey through causal studies and analysis was used path analysis. This study used three variables i.e. ecological concept knowledge (exogenous variable/X1), itention to act (exogenous variable/X2), and environmental responsibility behavior (endogenous variables /X3). The subject were 165 students from grade XI of mathematics and science. The result of hypothesis showed that the path coefficient X1 to X3 was 0,817, X2 to X3 was 0,838, X1 to X2 was 0,832, and X1 to X3 through X2 was 0,70. Knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act has a direct effect toward responsible environmental behavior of students. Intention to act can be said as the mediated variable between knowledge of ecological and responsible environmental behavior.

Abstract

The current learning process emphasizes the development of student skills as life skills, one of the goals is effective communication skills that are helped through knowledge from reading results. A syntactic integration between Jigsaw learning strategies and Reading, Questioning, Answering or called JiRQA learning strategies based on motivation level of student learning outcomes can help students to face the demands of the 21st century. This study aims to measure the effect of using JiRQA learning strategies based on motivation level of student learning outcomes. The research method is quasi-experimental. Data analysis was performed in the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, while the homogeneity test was carried out with the Bartlett test then for the hypothesis test carried out with a 2 x 2 factorial experimental design. The sample size was 18 experimental class students and 18 control class students in SMAN 11 Pandeglang. The results of the study showed normal and homogeneous (p> 0.05). The results of the study using two-ways ANAVA test obtained data that the value of p = 0.014, which means p <0.05 (starting Ho). And make conclusions there is an interaction between JiRQA learning strategies based on the level of motivation on learning outcomes. Similar research needs to be done to get more information. The research findings are the influence of syntactic integration between Jigsaw and Reading, Questioning, Answering learning strategies on learning results based on motivation level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kualitas Layanan dan Kepercayaan terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan Jasa Transportasi Online Grabbike di Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur Karawang. Dimana variabel bebas meliputi Kualitas Layanan dan Kepercayaan yang mempengaruhi Kepuasan Pelanggan sebagai variabel terikatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 400 orang dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling.  Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis Scale Range dan Path Analysis dengan bantuan program SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas Layanan secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan jasa transportasi online grabbike sebesar 15,5%. Sedangkan Kepercayaan secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan jasa transportasi online grabbike sebesar 24%. Kemudian Kualitas Layanan dan Kepercayaan secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan jasa transportasi online Grabbike sebesar 39,5%, sedangkan 60,5% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diuji dalam penelitian ini.
