Abstract

Orientation: This  study  examined  the  possibility of using  yam bean as a natural estrogen for mice in their premenopausal stage.Research Purpose: This research aimed for doing examination to the  phytoestrogen contains of Yam Bean, its dynamic in the serum and also its potential to the  female white mice.Motivation for the study: This research provides the benefit of consuming yam bean to increase the estrogen in mice body. Estrogen hormone mostly used by people especially woman to prevent and medicinal of the disease. Yam Bean is a group of phytoestrogen plant because it contains isoflavonoid with chemical structure that similar with estrogen hormone.Reasearch design, Approach, and Method: This research using pattern experiment approach of Complete Random  Design with treatment giving of Yam Bean and daidzein synthesis compound for 24 white mice from the kind of Sprague Dawley in the age of 5 months for 24 days. Daidzein dosage that given based daidzein level in the 1.5 ml of Yam Bean distillate. Blood taking conducted in the 3 fractions (8th, 16th, and 24th hour after treatment). Dissection and uterus organ taking conducted in the 25th day, blood smear making of tissue with HE coloring. Daidzein level test is analyzed with HPLC method. Structure alteration of uterus tissue analyzed descriptively to the endometrial, miometrial and  uterus mucosa layer.Main Findings: Research result shows that daidzein level in serum with Yam Bean distillate giving in the fraction 1, 2, and 3 are lower than daidzein synthesis compound giving. Endometrial tissue of uterus having proliferation, and also uterine gland proliferation in the treatment giving of Yam Bean distillate. The conclusion shows that Yam Bean can improve daidzein level that has potential as natural estrogen.Contribution/Value-add: The process leads other researcher to do the next experiment related to yam bean as a natural estrogen and its possibility of using yam bean as a natural estrogen for human.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of Indonesias population . However, rice production in the country has not been able to meet the needs of the national rice . This research is descriptive qualitative exploration methods to make observations and identification of pests and pest morphological features of rice paddy field in the area of the District Ngrayun Ponorogo . Rice sampling technique was determined by cluster sampling method (sampling area) , pest sampling technique was determined by saturation sampling method for all members of the pest population is used as a sample . Based on research carried out on 15 samples of rice fields in the village of the District 10 Ngrayun obtained 10 kinds of pests of various species namely : Ladybug Green (Nezara viridula) , Ladybug limbed like leaves (Anasa tristis) , Walang Sangit (Leptocorica acuta) , Slant -faced Grasshopper (Chloealtis conspersa) , Protonum bertaji Grasshopper (Melanoplus sanguinipes) , White Moth (Tryporiza inotata), caterpillar Leaf Folder (Cnapalocrosis medinalis), green leafhoppers (Nephotettik nigropictus), grain Leaf Beetle (Oulena melanoplus) , Colorado Potato Beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) , and Insect Aft Body Tail Spring (Onychiurus ramous).Keywords : Identification of Rice Pest , District Ngrayun Ponorogo

Abstract

The main objectives of this research is to develop the achievement of the students of grade IX A of SMP 1 Takeran, Magetan through the implementation of process skill approach under inquiry method through collaboration of teachers and lecturers. The research setting includes grade IX A s SMP 1 Takeran, Magetan, the subject of the research are all students of this class which covers 33 people, including 16 males and 17 females. Data are drawn from students’ achievement through test, students’ motivation through close questionaire, students’ process skill through obsrvation checklist, and students’ activity through actvivity record.The analysis brings abouyt results, that: 1) in the cognitive domain, the student achievement raises from 56.90 to 64.10 in cycle I, and it becomes 71.20 in cycle II. 2) the percentage of threshold level raises from 12% to 42% in cycle I, and it becomes 87% in cycle II. 3) in the affective domain, the student motivation raises from 30% of those with high motivation scale in cycle I to 88% in cycle II; students’ process skill raises from 42% of those with high scale skill in cycle I to 91% in cycle II.The results are then concluded that the implementation of process skill under inquiry model through collaboration of teachers and lecturers for the students of grade IX A SMP 1 Takeran, Magetan can improve the students’ learning outcomes.Keywords :  learning outcomes, team teaching, teaching method

Abstract

The quality  of products  of a  Teacher Training  Institution  does not merely  depend  on the grade point everage they pursue,  but also on the competitive   advantage  they gain during  the learning   process to fight for position  and apply the pedagogical  priciples  in the work market  share.  The  quality of teaching  and learning  process   in the campus  should  be then  fitted to  such  needs  of  the market   share, which  can  be  done  by sending lecturers   to  schools   as  apprentice teachers.This Peer Grant Research is aimed at: 1) developing  the quality of lecturers  instruction, 2) developing relationship between IKIP PGRI Madiun   and  the  peer  institutions,   3) searching   and  implementing alternative     strategies    for  teaching    and  learning    effectiveness. Collaborative   teaching  between  lecturers  of IKIP PGRI Madiun  and teachers  of SMP N 11 Madiun  is designed  to: 1) observe  the existing condition  of classes,  2) discuss  for developing  alternative  strategies, 3) arrange and implement  the instructional  design, 4) conduct teaching and learning  process,  and 5) suggest  evaluation.  Class  observation, questionaire   and interview  are used to draw data from 7 subjects  in research,   i.e.:  Bahasa   Indonesia,   English,   Natural   Science,  Social Science,  Math, Civics  and Counseling.The  results   of  the  research   can  be  outlined   as  follows:   1) lecturers   develop   their  classes   by  inspecting    and  implementing directly the instruction  in real scholls  classes, 2) identification  against weaknesses  in schools  classes can be arranged for further evaluation, 3) the campus  develops  teacher  training  instructional   designs  based on field inventions,  4) collaborative  team invent alternative  strategies in classes, 5) lecturers experience real schools classes so as to develop their instructional design, 6) teachers are motivated to continously develop their teaching to gain optimal out-come.Key words: quality, learning, apprenticeship, lectures

Abstract

Aspergillusniger is one type of mold that has a high ability to produce cellulases. Cellulases in the manufacturing process required the right conditions in order to obtain optimum quality and quantity. This study aims to determine the effect of different concentrations of inoculum and incubation time on cellulases activity of Aspergillusniger.The method used was a quantitative experiment with pattern completely randomized design(CRD) two factorial. Treatment research includes different of inoculum (K) which are 10%(K1), 15% (K2), 20% (K3) and incubation times (T) are 5 days (T1), 7 days (T2), 9days (T3). The datawere taken from the treatment is glucose levels of cellulases activity using theNelson Somogyi method. Analysis data using ANOVA two lanes with 5% of a significance level and continued to test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD). The results showed that: Fhit>Ftabso that there are significant differences in inoculum concentrations and incubation time of cellulolytic activity from Aspergillusniger.The highest glucose levels obtained in K3T1 treatment (20% of concentration and 5days of incubation time) with 0.072%.Keywords: Aspergillusniger, glucose, cellulases activity

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serbuk serasah lamun (seagrass) terhadap pasir pada nilai kuat tekan dan absorbsi air eco-batako.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni eksperimen dengan sampel eco-batako (20 x 10 x 6) cm dalam 4 variasi penambahan serbuk serasah lamun.Variasi pertama tanpa penambahan serbuk serasah lamun (0%), kedua dengan penambahan 5%, ketiga dengan penambahan 15%, dan yang keempat dengan penambahan 25%. Pengujian kuat tekan dan absorbs air dilakukan pada eco-batako umur 28 hari dengan sepuluh kali pengulangan dan diambil nilai rata-ratanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai kuat tekan untuk setiap variasi adalah 12,102 MPa untuk yang tanpa penambahan serbuk serasah lamun (0%), 11,011 MPa untuk penambahan 5%, 7,6044MPa untuk penambahan 15%, dan 5,3872MPa untuk penambahan 25%. Untuk data pengujian absorsi air adalah 12,439% untuk yang tanpa penambahan serbuk serasah lamun (0%), 13,81% untuk penambahan 5%, 15,215% untuk penambahan 15%, dan 16,019% untuk penambahan 25%. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalahsemakin banyak konsentrasi penambahan serbuk serasah lamun semakin rendah nilai kuat tekan eco-batako dan sebaliknya semakin sedikit penambahan konsentrasi serbuk serasah lamun dalam eco-batako semakin rendah daya absorbsi airnya
