Abstract

Public servants human resource management, as the main driving force for the conduct of state task, recently has been viewed rigid, formalistic, unadaptive and late in anticipating global change. The national employee system is unable yet to push the rise of strong apparatus, competency, clean, responsible and professional. The performance accountability system of employee is neither clear yet. DP3—usually used as judgement for evaluating employee performance is unable yet to reflect the real profile of employee performance. Reward and punishment system can not also reflect justice and certainty yet, so that it is unable yet to motivate employee work more maximal. To be able to overcome such, it is necessary to develop the apparatus management system based competency. An alternative of approach based on behavior is determinant factor for superior performance. The concept of competency consists : motives, traits, self concept, knowledge and skill.

Abstract

Nodular cast iron is the cast iron that has nodular graphite spherical structure distributed in ferrite or pearlite matrix or in both of them. Recently, this material is used widely in industries because its low cost and better performance. The advanced metal industries nowadays have found some new technologies in order to improve the properties of materials. One of them is the addition of another elements into the base metals, such as nickel. The effects of the addition 1wt %, 2wt % and 3wt % nickel into nodular cast iron 50 on tensile and hardness properties were investigated in this study. The experimental results show that the best amount of nickel that added into nodular cast iron is 3% wt, which has the best tensile and hardness properties

Abstract

The air-zinc battery uses oxygen from the atmosphere to produce electrochemical energy. After opening the battery into the air, oxygen diffuses into the cell and is used as cathode reagent. The air passes through the cathode to the active surface of the interior cathode in contact with the electrolyte liquid, namely sea water. On the active surface, the air cathode catalytically encourages the reduction of oxygen in the electrolyte liquid. This study aims to determine the effect of zinc anode on air batteries that are in direct contact with activated carbon as a source of electrical energy and find out the influence of electrolyte of seawater as an alternative source of electrical energy in air batteries. The research method uses Volta cells. Other advantages are safety and ecological benefits and low energy costs, as well as maximum power capability on environmentally friendly tolerance. In this study four salinity salinity was used, namely salinity of 3.56%, salinity of 3.99%, salinity 4.60% and salinity 5.02%. The results obtained are the highest voltage 1.144 Volt and the highest current of 4.85 mA is found in salt water salinity 5.02%.

Abstract

Natural fiber reinforced polymer composites are widely developed because of their relative low price and eco-friendly. One of natural fiber sourches is pandanus tectorius leaf.  This study aimed to determine the effect of variations in fiber volume fraction on tensile strength, impact strength, bending strength and morphological on sea pandanus fibers- polypropylene composites.Tensile test spesimen refer to ASTMD 638, impact test spesimen refes to ASTMD 5942-96, bending test spesimen refer to ASTMD 790 -02. The increasing of the volume fraction increased  the tensile strength and impact strength. The tensile test results showed the highest tensile strength results for composites with a volume fraction of 35% was 25.82 MPa. The impact test results showed that the highest impact strength was obtained in the 35 % volume fraction of 0.0062 Joule/mm2. The bending test results showed that the highest bending strength was obtained in the 20% volume fraction of 24.96 MPa. Based on SEM test results, there were voids, cracks, fibers pull out on the composite.

Abstract

Dermatitis is still public health problem. The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between the using of self protected equipment with the occurring of dermatitis on refusal handling worker. Cross sectional design was used in this study. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique from refusal handling worker in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Total sample were 67 subjects. Dermatitis cases on hand were 26 subjects ( 38,8 % ), whereas the worker who suffer leg’s dermatitis were 31 subjects ( 46,3 % ). The workers didn’t use self protected gloves showed an Odds Ratio of 6,08 higher to suffer dermatitis on hand compared with them who used it. The workers didn’t use self protected boots showed an Odds Ratio of 11,5 higher to suffer leg’s dermatitis compared with them who used it. Key words : Dermatitis, Self Protected Equipment..

Abstract

The birth of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages has placed the position of the village as a customary law community unit in accordance with the rights of the origin of the village, so that village autonomy is recognized and respected in the government system of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.Village Funds are funds sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget allocated to Villages which are transferred through the district / city Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget and used to finance government administration, development implementation, community development, and empowerment. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effectiveness of the use of village funds for economic development and empowerment of rural communities in the Pulung district, Ponorogo district. This research is motivated by the existence of problems related to the governance of village funds. The level of budget absorption, but in terms of the accountability report, has not carried out village financial administration properly. On the basis of these problems, this study aims to analyze the implementation of village funds in 2020 in Pulung District, Regency. Monitoring theory in this study uses Dunn in (1981) that the implementation of village funds must be based on honesty and legal accountability, process accountability, program accountability and policy accountability. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Research informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis consisting of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing.
