Abstract

The purpose of the research is providing an analysis on the economic opportunities that can be generated through the implementation of an integrated and well organized solid waste management in order to increase the economic value of garbage from the level of household, small, and medium industry to give positive impact due to the increased prosperity for the community in urban areas, especially the poor. The research employed survey method to identify the fundamental problems at the level of households and industries, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions to find strategic steps and practices in implementing integrated waste management which based on partnerships to overcome urban poverty. The results of this study indicated that the economic value of organic waste is Rp. 193, 952, 422 ($14,841.80) per year and Rp. 223, 142, 710 ($17,077.86) per year for inorganic waste. This potential should be properly managed through synergizing the existing waste management agencies such as the Department of Public Cleanliness and the Waste Bank of Malang city. The synergy on waste management should be made up to the lowest level in public institutions that is housewives association, because the role of housewife is very important in the success of waste management. Thus, the funds collected from the optimization of waste management can be used as business capital to help low income working families in Malang city.

Abstract

Sharing knowledge across different units within an organization can be considered as one of the organization’s fundamental operation. Nonetheless, sharing information and knowledge across boundaries presents tremendous challenges for organization. This paper discusses the impact of social network structure and social media in mediating knowledge sharing against unit task performance. Based on the review of extant literatures in intra-organization information and knowlegde sharing, this paper accentuates on three propositions as follows: a) the use of online collaborative media reduces time spend on task by accelerating the electronic document quality assurance process, b) integrating expert ability with the use of collaborative media reduces time spend on task by accelerating the electronic document quality assurance process, and c) social network structure increase the likelihood to extract personal advice from colleagues, thus improve unit’s work quality.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financing distribution for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Mandiri Sharia Bank representative in Malang and further analyzing the debtor perception (SMEs) on the distribution of credit by Mandiri Sharia Bank representative in Malang. This research utilizing primary and secondary data. The data collection was conducted through questioner, interview, participative observation and literature review. Sample used in this research is 10 consumer of Mudharabah financing. Data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and scale analysis. The result shows that the distribution of credit to SMEs in Mandiri Sharia Bank representative in Malang is in accordance with the characteristics of Mudharabah financing asserted by National Sharia Board No. 07/DSN-MUI/IV/2000 regarding the requirement for financing, term and condition, and also Law on Mudharabah Financing. The perception of Mudharib regarding the credit provided by Mandiri Sharia Bank representative in Malang is excellent, undemanding and not time consuming.Keyword : Mudharabah Financing, SMEs, Mandiri Sharia Bank representative in Malang

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik budaya organisasi Islami di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang sebagai upaya meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, dengan meneliti pengalaman yang disadari oleh informan (conscious experience). Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi sehingga dapat menggali lebih dalam tentang karakteristik budaya organisasi Islami yang ada di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Informan penelitian ini adalah (1) Pimpinan Universitas; (2) Pimpinan Fakultas; (3) Dosen; (4) Karyawan. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 3 (tiga) analisis yaitu: Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa persepsi terhadap budaya organisasi Islami dilihat dari persepsi pimpinan, dosen dan karyawan terhadap kepemimpinan, norma dan praktek manajemen, cerita dan tokoh, tradisi dan ritual, serta persepsi terhadap simbol. Karakteristik budaya organisasi islami yaitu meliputi (1) Shiddiq untuk mencapai personal excellence yaitu sikap jujur, transparan dan akuntabel, (2) Amanah untuk mencapai inter-personal capital yaitu sikap adil dan komitmen,(3) Tabligh untuk mencapai visionary and communicative leadership yaitu sikap komunikatif dan terbuka, (4) Fathonah untuk mencapai professionalism and technical leadership yaitu cerdas, kompeten dan inovatif.

Agar Gapoktan dapat berperan sebagaiaset komoditas masyarakat Jatimulyo yang partisipasif, maka pengembangan kelembagaan Gapoktanharus dirancang sebagai usaha peningkatan kapasitas petani di Kelurahan Jatimulyo sehingga menjadimandiri sedangkan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan di Kelurahan Jatimulyo bertujuan untukmemberikan pembinaan dan pembenahan kepada Gapoktan agar mampu menyusun rencana bisnisdan membahas secara detail tentang produk, pelanggan, pangsa pasar, supplier, estimasi keuntungan,dan analisis persaingan usaha. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan danpengalaman dalam menyusun rencana bisnis. Anggota Gapoktan Jatimulyo sangat antusias dantermotivasi mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan serta berusaha serius untuk mempraktekkanpengetahuan yang telah diperoleh secara mandiri.Kata Kunci : Gapoktan, Jatimulya.

Abstract

Several research found that there is relationship between religious and economic spirit. This study intended to determine the relationship between religiosity towards employee's welfare at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The method of this study is quantitatif using questionnaire as method of collecting data. The method of analysis data using Partial Least Square (PLS) with several valid variables. The result indicates that religiousity have significance impact on the welfare of employee of University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi nilai islami pada proses rekrutmen di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, dengan meneliti pengalaman yang disadari oleh informan (conscious experience). Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi sehingga dapat menggali lebih dalam tentang implementasi nilai islami pada proses rekrutmen yang ada di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Informan penelitian ini adalah (1) Pimpinan Universitas; (2) Karyawan. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 3 (tiga) analisis yaitu: Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Proses rekrutmen di UMM : 1) Sudah sesuai dengan nilai islami yang bersumber dari Al Qur’an dan Hadits; 2) Pimpinan UMM menunaikan amanah yang diwujudkan dalam memilih karyawan dan menetapkan hukum secara adil sesuai QS An Nisa (4) ayat 58 dan QS Al Maidah (5) ayat 8; 3) Mengangkat karyawan yang paling layak dan sesuai seperti dalam QS An Nisaa (4) ayat 59 ; 4) Memilih karyawan dengan kualitas terbaik secara selektif sesuai dengan sabda Rasulullah SAW dalam HR. Baihaqi; 5) Memilih karyawan yang mempunyai kapabilitas dan amanah sesuai QS Al Anfaal (8) Ayat 27
