Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk memahami pola komunikasi tradisi marosok antara sesama penjual dalam budaya dagang Minangkabau. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan studi etnografi komunikasi. Subjek penelitian adalah para penjual ternak di Balai Cubadak. Subjek dipilih secara purposive sampling (sampel bertujuan) dengan jumlah 6 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, studi pustaka. Adapun teknis analisis dengan mengumpulkan data, mendeskripsikan, menganalisis, dan melakukan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peristiwa komunikasi diantara sesama penjual yaitu (1) menanyakan harga (2) memberikan nasihat (3) berdiskusi mengenai pengalaman bertransaksi. Peristiwa terjadi diparkiran, los, dan warung. Pesan disampaikan bernada santai menggunakan bahasa Minangkabau baik verbal dan non verbal, dilandaskan kepada norma dan nilai luhur yang telah diwariskan dari generasi kegenerasi lainnya, meskipun beberapa tradisi mulai ditinggalkan. Pola komunikasi tradisi marosok antara sesama penjual dalam budaya dagang minangkau dibentuk atas dasar kesadaran untuk menjaga silaturahmi melalui forum diskusi antara sesama penjual, keharusan mewariskan nilai-nilai dan membantu sesama. Oleh karena itu, semua penjual berpartisipasi aktif menuangkan semua pengalaman yang didapatkan selama bertransaksi dan kemudian dibagi ke forum, dan mengambil pelajaran. Pelajaran inilah yang kemudian digunakan sebagai landasan bertindak dalam berdagang di kemudian hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada upaya pemerintah melakukan penyebarluasan informasi tentang tanaman obat melalui saluran interpersonal dengan tujuan untuk membangun partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan tanaman obat. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor: biologis, sosiopsikologis, dan sosiogenis yang melekat pada diri narasumber (komunikator). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yang menggambarkan masalah berdasarkan sifat data kualitatif sehingga dapat diperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang masalah yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ternyata narasumber (komunikator) memiliki posisi penting sebagai salah satu komponen komunikasi yang dapat membangun efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal dengan anggota masyarakat. Pentingnya keberadaan narasumber ini dapat dilihat dari faktor biologis yang meliputi alasan mengelola toga karena sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikan, dan tugas pokok dan fungsi pekerjaan yang digelutinya. Adapun dilihat dari faktor sosiopsikologis, narasumber menyatakan toga dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat untuk pertolongan pertama terhadap masalah kesehatan, bisa menjadi salah satu sumber pendapatan masyarakat, menjadikan pekarangan rumah indah, mengurangi biaya pengeluaran keluarga untuk obat, dan bisa dibuat makanan olahan, misalnya kripik bayem. Sedangkan faktor sosiogenis menanam toga bukan pengalaman baru, masyarakat merespon positif, sesuai dengan bidang ilmu, dan menjadi jaminan dalam bertugas. DOI: 10.24198/jkk.vol3n2.4

Abstract

This research aimed to understand the political communication of Sundanese Muslim Women Politicians in West Java in interacting with their partners in political parties and their constituents. By using a qualitative research method with a case study approach involving five informants who were selected purposively based on predetermined characteristics, the data collection technique used literature review, in-depth interviews, and non-participant observation. The results showed that: a) education from parents; b) the role of religious groups; c) the desire to overcome the problems that exist in society are the reasons for Sundanese Muslim Women Politicians to join political parties. In addition, their aim to become politicians is to become a mediator of communication between the community and the legislature and furthermore to be able to play an active role in making pro-women policies. The novelty of this research is that Sundanese Muslim women position themselves as subordinate, not to be ordinate. Another result of the research showed the motives. There are two motives of Sundanese Muslim women politicians involved in politics, namely the “because of” motive and the “In order to” motive. The political communication of Sundanese Muslim Women Politicians in West Java, especially when interacting with political party colleagues is interpreted as a process of building interpersonal relations. While political communication when interacting with constituents is interpreted as communication to build sympathy and support.

Abstract

This article is based on the results of research which the aim is to find out how is mapping of the education information dissemination network in the community of Cintaratu village, Pangandaran district. The reason for choosing the topic was that Padjadjaran University (Unpad) campus is in the village and it is assumed that the presence of the university in the village could improve the quality of education of its people. To confirm this assumption, it is necessary to map the education sector information network. We use qualitative methods which approach is a descriptive study, the researchers conducted a mapping of educational information dissemination. The main informants of this study are the community and village officials. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, passive participatory observation, and literature studies. The finding of the research are as follows, 1) the initial mapping of educational information dissemination to the community was carried out through direct communication, namely through two major activities - recitation and celebration; 2) recitation and celebration are two activities that are susceptible to physical noise-causing information related to education not conveyed properly to the public. Effective communication does not occur in these two activities.
