Abstract

Abstract : Virus material is one of the material that is closely related to the life and problems of everyday learners. This material is abstract so that it has difficulty level and problem complexity which is high enough. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid students worksheet based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to increasing critical thinking skills on virus material. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and Senior High School 8 Pekanbaru in March-July 2017. This type of research is a development research using 4D model conducted up to development stage. There are 3 students worksheet developed. The instruments of data collection in this research are students worksheet assessment / validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. After students worksheet was developed, validated by 4 validators and then tested I on 15 students Biology Education FKIP UR, and trial II on 20 students of Class XI in Senior High School 8 Pekanbaru. The validation result shows that the score of feasibility aspect of content of 3 LKPD developed is 4.02 valid categories, the mean score of design aspect is 4.00 valid categories, and the pedagogical aspect score is 3.88 valid categories. The average score of all aspects of the five LKPD is 3.96 valid categories. The results of the first test showed a mean score of 4.23 with very good category. The results of the second trial showed the average score of 4.02 with good category. The results of the answer analysis on trial II showed the average value of 92.75 with very good category. Abstract

This research was conducted for analyzing Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) of biology prospective teachers in Riau Province. The study was carried out to fulfill Indonesian Governments policy on Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) 6-Level. This development research aimed to analyze, design and develop a model to enhance the competency and competitiveness of Education College graduates to meet their professional, social and industrial needs. This paper discussed a preliminary study of the developed models for strenghtening the prospective teachers from Biology Education Departement, conducted through a survey of 243 students from four different colleges of education in Riau Province. The data were collected through a test and interview. The instruments used contained seven variables of knowledge, namely Technology, Paedagogy, Content, Technological Paedagogy, Technological Content, Technological knowledge and TPACK. The instruments was improved through their validity and reliability test. The TPACK performance of Prospective Biology teachers seemed low. Based on the need analysis two products will be generated. First, a lesson design and the second was a work books. This study had an implications for increasing the competence of biology education graduates. The lesson design and competency test instruments could be used for College of Biology Education and teacher professional education in developing competency test for selection system. The TPACK workbook could be used as teacher enrichment in sustainable profession development such as classroom action research, learning innovation contest, and science teacher olympiad.

Abstract

Abstract: A research was conducted to develop Multiple Intelligences-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in the material Movement System at XI grade in Senior High School in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau from October to December 2017. The research refers to the R & D research approach using the model ADDIE developed by Dick and Carry. The research was carried out until the development stage. The research subjects were KD 3.5 and KD.4.5 in the material Movement System at XI grade in Senior High School developed into 4 LKPDs for 4 meetings. Data was collected using a validation sheet filled by 5 validators, limited trials aimed at 5th semester students who had studied the Movement System as many as 15 students and limited trials aimed at high school students in XI grade as many as 20 people who had studied the Movement System material. Validation results from the aspects of content feasibility, design and pedagogic showed the four LKPDs obtained the average score of the first meeting LKPD 3.48, second meeting LKPD 3.47, third meeting LKPD 3.45, and the fourth meeting LKPD 3.57 with an overall score average of 3.46 in the category very valid. While the results of trial I on students from 4 LKPD in KD 3.5 movement system material were the first meeting LKPD 3.60, second meeting LKPD 3.60, third meeting LKPD 3.61, and fourth meeting LKPD 3.64 with overall score average was 3.61 with very good category. In the second trial of 2 LKPDs were the first meeting LKPD 3.56 and the second meeting LKPD 3.59 with an average overall score of 3.58 with a very good category. Based on the results of validation, trials and data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that Student Intelligence Worksheet (LKPD) based on Multiple Intelligences at XI grade in Senior High School in the material Movement System has been successfully developed and obtained by very good quality LKPD and has the potential to increase Multiple Intelligences in students and can be applied in classroom learning.Key Words: Development, Student Worksheet, Multiple Intelligences
