Abstract

This research aims to develop the employability skills instrumen that will be used to measure the employability skills on vocational high school students. The method was used is a model of research and development. The instrumen developing is based on the results of the synthesis construct of employability skills theories. The sample were selected are 34 students of SMKN 13 Bandung. Based on the result of the research, it showed that the employability skills instrumen that was arranged had a good validity, shown by content validity with expert judgment and empiric validity with pearson product moment correlation. The reliability of the employability skills instrumen included an enough category that was shown by the high alpha reliability coefficient score that was 0.994

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the development of a culture of peace through a local wisdom-based peace education program Nosarara Nosabatutu. Nosarara Nosabatu is a Kaili ethnic local wisdom, in the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi, with the main concept being peacein society through a spirit of brotherhood, togetherness, unity and unity, family, and peace. Nosarara Nosabatu needs to be implemented in educational programs for young people, especially for students in schools, in order to build a culture of peace in the people of Palu. This article uses the library research method. The research findings are: 1) the values of peace in the local wisdom of Nosarara Nosabatutu; and 2) the prospect of developing guidance and counseling based on local wisdom Nosarara Nosabatutu to develop a culture of peace in the School.

Abstract

This study aimed to review and analyze appropriate sanction for murderer suffering from bipolar disorder based on the perspective of Islamic law. This research was qualitative descriptive research with library research methods and approaches such as: (1) normative theology (syar'i); (2) historical; and (3) religious psychology. The results showed that murder is an illegal act in Islam so that the culprit is punished severely. Murder committed by people with bipolar disorder according to the perspective of Islamic law is sanctioned qiṣāṣ if the act of murder is carried out when the perpetrator is in normal circumstances, but if the act of murder occurs when bipolar disorder relapses on the perpetrator, then the sanction is a full right on the part of the victim's family to still ask for a fine (diat).

Abstract

The crisis of moral education is one of the causes of the decline of today's people. A solution is needed in the form of the implementation of the moral education methods in the Islamic schools in developing civilization and restoring the glory of the people. This study aims to determine the moral education methods in the Islamic schools and its relevance based on the perspective of Ibnu Abi al-Dunya in the book of Makārimul Akhlāq. The study used a qualitative research method with library research approach. Data analysis techniques used content analysis, descriptive, and inductive. The results showed that the methods of moral education from the perspective of Ibnu Abi al-Dunya included: qudwah, targīb and tasywīq methods, tarhīb, at-ta'awwud, naṣīḥah, and ḥiwār. The findings should be a concern for the educational process in the Islamic schools so that it can be implemented optimally and contribute in presenting reference materials to moral education methods that may be used in the Islamic schools.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examined the differences in the students’ academic resilience based on gender and cohort. Participants were students of Department of Educational Psychology and Guidance, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Makassar in the academic years of 2013, 2014, and 2015. They were comprised of 103 students, 77 females and 26 males. The instrument in this study was Academic Resilience Scale (ARS) adopted and modified from Martin and Marsh. Data were analyzed through Mann-Whitney statistical of non-parametric tests in order to measure the academic resilience level of gender difference and Kruskal Wallis to measure academic resilience of cohort difference. Results revealed that there was no difference in academic resilience between female and male students. It was also found that there is a significant difference in academic resilience among the students in the academic years of 2013, 2014 and 2015. Discussion, limitation, and recommendation were also provided in this study.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat resiliensi akademik mahasiswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan tahun angkatan. Partisipan merupakan mahasiswa angkatan 2013, 2014 dan 2015 Jurusan Psikologi Pendidikan dan Bimbingan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Makassar. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 103 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 77 perempuan dan 26 laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Skala Resiliensi Akademik yang diadopsi dan dimodifikasi dari ARS yang dikembangkan oleh Martin & Marsh. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik nonparametrik Mann-Whitney untuk uji beda resiliensi akademik berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan Kruskal Wallis sebagai uji beda pada tingkatan kelas (angkatan). Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan lima prediktor resiliensi akademik, diketahui tidak terdapat perbedaan antara mahasiswa perempuan dan mahasiswa laki-laki. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan terdapat perbedaan resiliensi akademik antara mahasiswa angkatan 2013, 2014 dan 2015. Diskusi, keterbatasan dan rekomendasi dibahas dalam studi ini.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to describe the existence of Tudang Sipulung for group guidance that used KIPAS Counseling for the Bugis Youth at Senior High School at Sidrap. This research used a qualitative approach with Triple Hermeneutic Analysis method. The data collection technique are Interview and literature studies as well as data validation which is achieved through data triangulation. The subjects of this study were four people, two people from public figure (culturalists) and two people from students (Bugis youth). The results showed that Tudang Sipulung is the ancestral heritage of the Sidrap’s Bugis Society which contains positive values in the deliberation to reach consensus. In the practice of guidance and counseling, Tudang Sipulung can be constructed and implemented as group guidance in the perspective of the KIPAS counseling model in serving the counselee or Bugis Youth. The cultural values of Tudang Sipulung that can be integrated with the KIPAS model counseling include the counselor’s self-positioning, discussion themes, attitude, and positive thinking techniques, as well as the special technique of KIPAS is KaDo-MUDAH, and up to the steps of the KIPAS Counseling model Abstrak: Kajian ini berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi Tudang Sipulung sebagai sarana bimbingan kelompok dalam kerangka acuan konseling model KIPAS (Konseling Intensif dan Progresif yang Adaptif terhadap Struktur) terhadap Remaja Bugis sekolah menengah atas di Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian AHB (analisis hermeneutika bersusun). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan studi kepustakaan, serta pengabsahan data ditempuh melalui triangulasi data. Pada penelitian ini, subjek berjumlah 4 orang, 2 orang dari kalangan tokoh masyarakat (budayawan) dan 2 orang dari kalangan siswa (remaja Bugis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tudang Sipulung merupakan warisan tradisi leluhur masyarakat Bugis Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) yang mengandung nilai-nilai positif dalam bentuk wahana kelompok ketika hendak membicarakan suatu hal yang perlu untuk disepakati secara bersama-sama. Pada praksis bimbingan dan konseling, Tudang Sipulung dapat dikonstruksi dan diimplementasikan sebagai strategi bimbingan kelompok dalam perspektif konseling model KIPAS dalam melayani konseli atau remaja yang berlatar suku Bugis. Adapun nilai-nilai budaya Tudang Sipulung yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan konseling model KIPAS meliputi pemosisian diri konselor, tema bahasan, teknik-teknik bersikap dan berpikir positif serta teknik khusus KaDo-MUDAH, hingga langkah-langkah konseling model KIPAS.

Abstract

The increasingly widespread spread of Covid-19 and the increasing number of victims who have died from the virus have caused more activities to be carried out at home. Therefore, the government made a policy by implementing Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), Lockdown as an effort to prevent the spread of the virus. However, the government has also made an offer to do Work from Home (WFH) so that productive activities can continue amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Among the positive and useful activities, such as holding virtual-based hydroponic training for the community. The hydroponic training method is carried out boldly through zoom webinars, the activities are conceptualized and arranged systematically, it is hoped that the participants can master the basic and simple techniques to start hydroponics at home and can take advantage of limited land. Based on the results of this virtual-based hydroponic training it was found that the participants seemed enthusiastic and responded very well to the training material, indicated by the number of questions and the number of participants who attended, some of whom even planned to directly hold hydroponic training. Because the training material presented is quite light and easily understood by the participants. In addition, this training is in accordance with the principles of hydroponic beginners, simple, and the use of familiar tools around us.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, guidance and counseling teachers in the field faced a difficult situation, forcing them to provide online services to students. This study aims to analyze the needs of guidance and counseling teachers for cyber counseling training. The research method used is a qualitative approach by applying empirical phenomenological research. Data were obtained through direct interviews offline and online (Whatsapp) with 9 (nine) research subjects. The data analysis technique used is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results of the study indicate that guidance and counseling (BK) teachers need cyber counseling training, analyzed in several aspects, including: (1) Barriers, which are indicated by (a) BK teachers have difficulty interpreting students' non-verbal language when providing online-based services; (b) constrained by the stability of the internet network; and (c) the minimum internet quota owned by students; (2) Insights and attitudes, which are indicated by: (a) BK teachers do not know anything at all and do not provide online-based services, (mainly by old BK teachers); (b) knowing but confused in starting and doing; (c) positive thinking, utilizing creativity, and daring to start even though they have not mastered the conceptual framework and praxis (mainly carried out by young BK teachers); (3) Needs, where the aspects needed by BK teachers for cyber counseling training include: (a) online-based individual counseling service construction; (b) how to make online assessments that are attractive to students; (c) how to provide effective and efficient services, starting from material preparation, media selection, approach selection, strategy, communication techniques, procedures, and service evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of personality and education in the Qur'an and its relevance to character education. This research is qualitative descriptive research through literature study and content analysis methods. The results show that the concept of personality in the Qur'an can be categorized in many forms, but can be categorized into five personal points with the spirit of mu'min, muṣliḥ, mujāhid, muta'āwin, and mutqin. The concept of character education in the Qur'an can be formulated in the form of a balanced remembrance and thought, consistently carrying out worship, leaving the bad, and carrying out all forms of goodness. The relevance of personality to character education can be seen from efforts to educate the soul to become a believer who has an attitude of faith above a straight faith, worships according to instructions, and has a noble character. As for the soul of a muṣliḥ, mujāhid, muta'āwin, and mutqin, it can be seen from the effort to continue learning to teach science, preaching by preventing the bad and inviting the good, as well as patience, cooperation (gotong royong), striving for the best (professionalism), of every trust given. The application of character education based on the personality of the Qur'an with the Islamic Worldview is an effort to view everything based on faith in Allah, faith in revelation, faith in the Prophet, and so on.

Abstract

The study of spirituality in the context of guidance and counseling shows an increasing graph of progress. The late 1990s and early 2000s were the year when the issue of spirituality in the context of counseling and psychology was increasingly being discussed by various associations such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) American Psychology Association (APA), and The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP). This paper aims to describe an idea of the application of guidance and counseling based on tadabur sirah in madrasah (Islamic School) to improve aspects of spirituality for students. Tadabur sirah is an effort to contemplate the contents of the Quran in depth as an effort to improve the spirituality. Various research results show that spirituality can give a positive influence in improving the quality of human life. One way that can be done to improve the spirituality is by learning and contemplating the historical stories that exist in the Qur'an through storytelling techniques. Various research results also show that storytelling techniques have been proven to be effective in teaching and transferring the noble values contained in the stories.
