Abstract

Monitoring of water level as aflood disaster early warning based on SMS uses arduino as a controller of all systems. electronic devices that have important roles in this system consistof probe sensors as the altitude and low tidedetector, GSM SIM 900A module as a sending mediator to handphone, and arduino as a system controller. The Warning information consists of standby-1 for the water level of 0cm-20cm, standby-2 for the water level of 20cm-30cm, and standby-3 for water level 30cm-50 cm. The three water levels are detected by the probe sensor. When the water touches the sensor, the sensor sends the data to be processed by arduino, then arduino commands GSM SIM 900A Module to send SMS to handphone in the form of water level warning and status. Besides sending the SMS as a warning status, arduino also send a warning signal in the form of buzzer sound when water level is in standby-2 and standby-3.

Abstract

Sensors that are able to identify the type of gas are needed in the industry. One of them is a Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) sensor which can produce a constant resonance frequency. In this study, we intend to determine the sensitivity of the QCM gas sensors which are coated with different polymers. QCM gas Covered with polymer sensor based QCM aim to increase the sensors ability to absorb molecules on the surface of the QCM sensor. The sensor array coated with different polymer materials will produce different frequency response output patterns for each type of gas identified. The test results showed that the QCM sensor coated with OV 17 polymer material was more sensitive by producing sensitivity of 8.4 Hz /ml alcohol, 9.96 Hz /ml 2-propanol, 35.88 Hz /ml acetone, 39.64 Hz /ml benzene.

Abstract

This study presents capacitor installation to reduced losses line, moreover improve voltage profile and power factor improvement. Capacitor optimization installed using modified backward forward sweep with the result that installation point and capacity appropriate. The modified backward-forward sweep have been tested on 15 BUS Kota Calang 20 kV feeder distribution, Aceh Barat. Initial simulation of feeder was result 0,85 kW line losses with 19,9753 minimum voltage. After capacitor installation on BUS 4, BUS 6, BUS 8 and BUS 13, the minimum losses line is reduced to 0,66 kW.

Abstract

Salah satu alternatif saat ini dalam budidaya sayuran yang sangat digemari bahkan membawa lebih banyakkeuntungan daripada budidaya secara konvensional adalah dengan metode hidroponik. Metode hidroponikadalah metode bercocok tanam dengan memanfaatkan air sebagai media tanamnya. Salah satu cara yang harusdiperhatikan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik pada budidaya sayuran dengan metode hidroponik ini adalahmenjaga kadar pH nutrisi media tanaman hidroponik secara berkala. Pengaturan pH nutrisi tanaman hidroponikyang dibahas dalam artikel ini yaitu dengan cara membuat alat pengaturan pemberian nutrisi tanaman hidroponiksecara otomatis sehingga kadar pH nutrisi didalam media air tanaman hidroponik berkisar antara pH 6,0 sampaipH 6,5. Adapun perangkat kendali yang digunakan pada sistem ini meliputi arduino uno sebagai mikrokontroler,sensor pH, solenoid valve sebagai keran elektronik untuk mengatur buka tutup saluran secara otomatis dan motorpengaduk untuk melarutkan nutrisi didalam air. Dari hasil percobaan didapatkan bahwa kesalahan rata-rata hasilpembacaan oleh sensor pH yang dibandingkan dengan alat pH meter adalah 3,1% dan sistem mampumempertahankan pH nutrisi untuk tanaman pada kisaran pH 6,0 – 6,5.
