Abstract

This article is related to approach development in order to determine the most appropriate route for bottled water delivery from warehouse to retail from particular boundaries such as a limit on number of vehicle, vehicle capacity, and time windows to each retail. A mathematical model of VRPTW is adopted to solve the problem. Malang is one of the drinking water production centers in Indonesia, definitely it will be difficult for the company to determine the optimal delivery route with the existing restrictions. In this research hybrid genetic algorithm is use to determine the route shipping companies with the Java programming language. After analyzing the results obtained show that the results of the implementation of hybrid genetic algorithm is better than the company actual route. Moreover, authors also analyze the effect the number of iterations for the computation time, and the influence the number of iterations for the fitness value or violation. This algorithm can be applied for the routing and the result obtained is an optimal solution

Abstract

In practice, the policy of delaying payment periods is prevalent between players in a supply chain system. Generally, payments made at the end of the permitted period. Supply chain management is one of the keys to corporate sustainability that the activities have an impact on the environment.  This paper aims to develop an integrated green supply chain model with a permissible delay in payment consideration. In this research, the author develops a mathematical model to find the effect of delay in payment on emissions costs without ignoring the economic performance of a supply chain. The author develops four different scenarios model. Furthermore, numerical experiments and sensitivity analysis tests were conducted. Result of the study shows that delay in payment is integrated players into the supply chain system.  It has a positive impact on reducing supply chain emissions costs.

Abstract

In this era, companies to transfer some of their logistical functions to third party logistics (3PL). In this study, a risk evaluation, and mitigation system at the initiation of collaboration with third-party logistics companies for agricultural chemical industry companies were developed. The basic model used in system development is House of Risk combined with SOAR methodology and scenario analysis. This system is used for consideration in decision making by evaluating and giving suggestions on the extent to which the use of 3PL is used to resolve company problems due to risk. The risk evaluation and mitigation system at the initiation of cooperation with a third-party logistics company in the agrochemical industry were successfully developed. The system consists of four processes (risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, and risk response) compiled based on the ISO 31000: 2009 framework

Abstract

In this article, focus on the simulation of a three-phase perishable product inventory system of a SMEs selling fresh and processed milkfish. This research was conducted to simulate a perishable product inventory system to understand and analyze the problems that occur then propose solutions to fix them. The simulation model was developed with ARENA software, simulation results of the existing condition show that there is 162 kg/month waste in fresh fish, 158 pcs/month in processed product A, and 86 pcs/month in processed product B. A model with a product renewal process mechanism was proposed to overcome this problem, and seven improvement scenarios were developed. The results obtained from the seventh improvement scenario revealed that there was a 100% reduction in fresh fish and processed product B and 94% in processed product A. Besides, there was a saving in need for fresh fish supply of 10 kg/day. In this article, we show how ARENA software can be adopted to simulate inventory system problems effectively. The method in this research can be applied to investigate various supply system scenarios and their consequences before implementing it in a real system.
