Abstract

Abstract : The Research about application of the active learning strategy type learning tournament has been done to improve student’s achievement on the topic of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research is experimental research based on pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class Xl IPA 2 as the control class and students of class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class that randomly selected after testing homogeneity. Experimental class is a class that is applied active learning strategy type learning tournament, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 2,14 > 1,66, means that the application of active learning strategy type true false chain can improve student achievement on the subject of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI MAN 1 Pekanbaru where the effect of an increase is 6,77%.Key Words : Active Learning Strategy Type Learning Tournament, Learning Achievement, and Solubility and Solubility Product Constant

Abstract

Abstrak: This classroom action research aims to improve the activity and students learning result in chemistry on class XI IPA 7 of SMAN 1 Pekanbaru by applying cooperative model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT). There were 33 students of  XI IPA 7 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru involved in study that did in three cycles of learning. Each cycle consisted of one meetings through four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation and test. The result of action showed that total activity percentage of students increased and reached the success indicator with 62,2% students were active in three cycles. Total activity of student percentage in first cycle 57,7% with criteria enough, second cycle 60,5% with criteria enough and three cycle 68,3% with criteria good. The average percentage of mastery learning classical also increased  and reached the success indicator with 78,8% in three cycle. The average percentage in first, second and third cycle followed by 51,7%, 78,1% dan 81,8%.Keyword : Cooperative model of NHT, Student Activities, Mastery Learning Classical

Abstract

Absrtract: This study aims to develop Redox and Elektrochemical Cells module based on problem solving in class XII SMA / MA which is valid based on content, presentation, linguistic, and graphic aspects. This type of research is a research and development (R & D with a 4-D development model that includes Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination. This research have done to development stage only. The object of this research is a problem-solving module. Data analysis technique is calculation of validation percentage and response questionnaire. The data instrument is validation sheets given to three validators and response questionnaire given to teachers and student. The average score of the variable number of the validity of the module by the validator team, namely the content, presentation, language, and graphics 93.45%, 88.54%, 90o% and 90%, respectively, with the overall average validation module validator team is 90.55% valid. The use of data analysis can be concluded that the Redox and Problem Solving-based electrochemical module can be developed and declared valid to be used for learning in SMA / MA equivalent.Key Words: Module, Problem Solving, Redox and Electrochemical Cell

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the student activity and achievement used Beach Ball learning strategy on solubility equilibrium subject at XI MIPA 6 of Senior High School (SMAN) 5 Pekanbaru in academic year 2017/2018. This research was an action research with two cycle design. Each cycleconsisted of two meetings included four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The collecting data used observation and test. The analysis data was describ with descriptively. The result of action showed that learning activity percentage of student improved and reached the success criteria. The learning activityof student percentage in first cycle was 57,24% with enough category and the secondcycle was 68,70% with good category. Student achievement was seen from mastery learning that enhances and have achieved success criteria. The percentage of student achievement in the first cycle was 79,70% and the second cycle was 89,74%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that using IDEAL problem solving strategy can improve the activity and student achievement.Keyword: Beach Ball learning strategy, student learning activity, student achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase in student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning models talking chips type to Atomic Structure material in class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The form of this study uses the Pretest-Posttest Design Randomized Control Group. The sample consisted of class X MIA 5 as the experimental class and X MIA 6 as the control class which was randomly selected after the normality test and homogeneity test. The experimental class is a class that applies the cooperative learning model of talking chips. The data analysis technique uses test techniques. Testing the hypothesis using the T test with α = 0.05 obtained by Tcount> Ttable (1.98> 1.66). Based on hypothesis testing it was concluded that the application of cooperative learning models talking chips type can improve student learning achievement in the Atomic Structure material in class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru..Key Words: Atomic structure, learning achievement, cooperative learning modeltype talking chips

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop a module based on POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) on colloid subject matter for the eleventh grade of Senior High School which is valid according to the aspects of substance, language, presentation and graphic in supporting the learning process. The type of the research that be used is Research and Development with developing process referring to the 4D development methodology including Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. This research was only be done till the development level. Research object is colloid module based on POE. Data accumulation is in the form of validation sheet that was given to three validators and response-used sheet to test the module practically that was given to three chemical teachers and 15 eleventh grade learners in science class of senior high school. The validation score is averaged to 4 aspects of module appropriateness including the appropriate aspects of substance, language, presentation and graphic that is consecutively about 95,45%, 93,33%, 96,67%, and 95,83%. The overall average score in validation of POE-based colloid module is 95,32% with very valid criteria. According to the data analysis can be concluded that the developed POE-based module on colloid subject matter is stated as valid to be used in supporting the learning process.Key Words: Module, POE (Predict-Observe-Explain), Colloid

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the validity of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) based module based on feasibility aspects of content, language, graphics and presentation. And to know the practical test module of teachers and studens. Type of development research refers to the R & D (Research and Development) using 4D model converted language 4P model. The sample of validation product validation by SMAN 5 Pekanbaru and SMA Babusalam Pekanbaru. Technique of collecting data with validation sheet given to expert validator that is lecturer and questionnaire with teacher and learner. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the quality of the module based on feasibility aspects of content, language, presentation, and graphics are as follows: the contents of the module have 92.5% percentage. (valid), the language feasibility of the module has a percentage of 87.5% (valid), the feasibility of presentation of the module has 100% percentage (valid), the feasibility of module keypad has 87.5% percentage (valid), overall average validation score module KD 3.10 acid base material based on Predict Observe Explain is 97,67% and included valid category. Percentage of teacher and student respondents in SMAN 5 Pekanbaru and SMA Babusalam Pekanbaru to module KD 3.10 Predict Observe Explain material acid base. The percentage of teachers as a user response is 97.5% with very practical criteria. While the percentage of students in SMAN 5 Pekanbaru and SMA Babusalam Pekanbaru are 96.37% and 96.00% respectively with average score is 94,61% very practical criteria.Key words: Modules, POE, KD 3,10 acid bases

Abstract

Abstract: The research has been conducted at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru which aims to improve student learning achievement on the subject of ion stoichiometry in class X MIA. This type of research is an experimental study with a design Randomized Control Group pretest-posttest.. The sample from the study was students of class X MIA 1 as an experimental class. The experimental class is the class applied to the type Novick learning model. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of the data analysis test, t count> t table is 1,91> 1.67 meaning that the application of Novick learning model can improve student learning achievement on the subject stoichiometry in class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru with categories of achievement improvement learning in the experimental class based on Score (N-Gain) is high, which is 0.81.Key Words: Probing-Prompting Learning, Learning Achievement, Stoichiometry

Abstract

Abstract : The objective of this research was to develop the constructivism-based student’s activity sheet in the subject of ionic equilibrium and pH of saline solution. The type of this research was Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D development model which covers Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Because of the limited time and place, this research was only done until the development step and was followed by the limited trial. This research was conducted in the Faculty of Education and Teachers Training University of Riau. The object of this research was constructivism-based student’s activity sheet. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistical analysis by calculating the percentage of validation’s score. The student’s activity sheet validation of eligibility result by 3 lecturers as the experts was 92.19% which categorize as valid and has already fulfilled the eligibility of contents, language, presentation, and the graphic. The student’s activity sheet validation of eligibility result by 3 teachers as the users was 93.92% with valid categorize, It can be concluded that the student’s activity sheet that already developed can be used in the teaching and learning process. Based on the limited trial that already done to 15 students, the respond showed 92% which in the positive criterion.Keywords: student’s activity sheet, constructivism, ionic equilibrium and pH of saline solution.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to increase students results implementation of the use of teaching materials in the form of pocket books on subject acid base in XI MIA SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. Instrument in this research is a question of acid base compounds that has been test validation and reliability. Results showed instrument is valid and reliable. The type of this research is experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this research are XI MIA 1 as the experimental class, XI MIA 2 as the control class which were determined randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity test. The experimental group was treated with implementation of the use of teaching materials in the form of pocket books while the control group without implementation of the use of teaching materials in the form of pocket books. The data analysis to test the hypothesis was using t-test right side. Based on the data analysis, it is obtaine tcount = 1,92 and ttable = 1,67 with α = 0,05, dk = 70, tcount > ttable is 3,07 > 1,67, It’s mean implementation of the use of teaching materials in the form of pocket books can improve students results on the subject acid base in XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Acid Basa, Pocket Book, Results Learning
