Abstract

A university is present in the community to assume the function of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, which is the function of Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. In order for Universities to be in direct contact with the communitythrough the practice of science and technology, then the activities of community service must be done. Program of Community Service (Abdimas) is not only done by lecturers, but also students who are concrete tangible Real Work Lecture (KKN).KKN program at the Institute of Science & Technology AKPRIND Yogyakarta, as well as efforts to improve empathy and awareness of students in the community and apply science, especially science and technology in the midst of society. The process of implementing this KKN also get guidance from lecturers. In the guidance of this KKN, lecturers also play a role in the implementation of community service. With the involvement of this lecturer is expected to implement KKN can run in accordance with the policy of the Institute. As the implementation of community service, especially at the location of KKN Wukirsari Bantul District, KKN team and lecturers provide science and technology themed training. The training provided includes a mobile doctor targeted at the community.

Abstract

Abstract

The substation has a great possibility of experiencing a hazard caused by the disturbance of lightning and overcurrent so that the current disturbance flows to the ground as a result of the insulation of equipment that is not functioning properly. One of the security systems on the substation is grounding. The grounding system is a delivery system that connects the system, equipment and installation bodies with the earth / ground so as to secure the human from electric shock, and secure the installation components from the dangers of abnormal voltage / currents. Therefore, research is conducted with respect to the grid earthing system on the Switchfield Substation (GI) switchyard. The research applies some data retrieval methods, namely: Literature study method, covering the studying literature related to earth system in switchyard area of 150 kV Bantul, and litrature related to earth type resistance calculation, soil type resistance, type of system earth, and type of electrode used. Based on the result of the analysis of the value of ground grid of Substation in Bantul is 0,527 Ohm. Or the difference in value of 0.043 Ohm or 7.54% smaller than the measurement value of 0.57 Ohm. Touch tension value of 207.5 Volts for people weighing 70kg, and 153.3V for weight 50Kg. with the actual maximum touch voltage value of 261.53 Volts. The step voltage value of 288.7 Volts for people weighing 70kg, and 213.3V for weight 50Kg. with an actual maximum step voltage value of 857.4 Volts.

Abstract

This paper discusses the application of solar cells as an electric power source and the electricity generated is used to a drive water pump. The working principle of solar power plants is the conversion of energy contained in to electricity. When these photons strike the surface of the solar cell electrons will be excited and generate electric voltage. Electricity generated from the solar cell is direct current (DC) to charge a battery, which in turn is converted into alternating current (AC) using an inverter. The testing stage carried out in the field is to find the to main parameters whichare the voltage and amperage. Battery is charged by the solar cell to accumulate the solar energy into electrical energy. The produced solar cell voltage ranges from 14.8 to 17.5 volts DC. The Solar cells used are of panel type polycrystalline (poly-crystalline) with a power of 50 wp. Current and voltage of the solar cell source varies depending on the incident sunlight power the cell voltage is ± 17V, but charging the battery the average voltage is 13,5V which is secured by the solar charger controller. Voltage and current will begin to rise in the morning at 07.00 am, then reach the maximum level during the day at 10:00 a.m to 13:00 p.m, and begin to fall in the afternoon.

Abstract

A Centrifuge is one very important medical apparatus for separating some me-dical subtracts such as blood, urine, drugs for producing vaccines and antitoxins. Ba-sically this apparatus is centrifugal turntable equipped with a study turning mechanism and a set of tube holders to accommodate 4 up to 20 subtract sample tubes. The needed rotation controlling system was designed and constructed in steps. First, for the entire mechanical as well as electronic subsystem. Second, on the details of the electronic hardware and the connected mechanism. Third, the software needed to run the electronic hardware. Fourth, to load the controlling program into the AT89C51 microcontroller and finally the run test of the entire system. The result shows that this centrifuge regulator works sufficiently well to replace the original failing system.

Abstract

This research, is studied about a system of PC Datalogger capable to measure, record, present the graph of usher the phase and phase voltage with neutrally on 3-phase electric network in accurate figure, informative and realtime. The watcher of stability process abaut 3-phase electrics network in electronic can do to use transduser with three single phase transformator in way configuration, by using RS232 interface for data communications of PC and measure module. System examination to ability of application program 3-phase datalogger.exe run by PC as regulator process the datalogger voltage 3-phase watched. In this examination, result of voltage monitoring will be presented in separate linearity graph for the tension of test the R-N, S-N, T-N, RS, ST And TR com-paring with the time depth perception.

Abstract

Various types of ceramic materials are mostly found in Indonesia which have different common properties, so lab experiments are needed to determine the natures of the breakdown voltages, capacities, and factors which determine the performance of each ceramic insulator. Type of ceramic tile studied were of diferent platinum, ceramic tile brands. The experiments sho that, the average breakdown voltage of ceramic platinum is 8.12kV, the room conditions during testing were 29.70C, 989mB air pressure and humidity 77%, while the average breakdown voltage of ceramic milan was 9.12kV, where condition during the test was 29.10C, 990 mB air pressure, relative humidity 79% and for brands essenza average breakdown voltage 39.68kV, under a testing temperature of 29.90C, pressure 989 mB air and 66% humidity. Of the three types the ceramic platinum brand was most easily penetrated by the voltage. This is do caused by the existing cavities in the ceramics and does not meet the standard ceramic or solid materials and most of them have the ability to withstand the breakdown voltage ceramic materials essenza brands.

Abstract

Room server is a room that is used to store server computers and network devices. Room server is important assets for companies or institutions that implement information technology as a support in their daily activities. The importance of that is because in the server room there are applications and databases that store all important and valuable information for the company or institution concerned, therefore the server room must always be in good condition. Design of temperature and humidity monitoring systemsis designed to detect changes in temperature and humidity in the room using ESP8266 Node MCU as the main control, then use DHT 11 as a temperature and humidity detection sensor, then the data will be sent to the Telegram application already installed on the smartphone and displayed in the LCD. If the MQ-2 gas sensor detects a smoke greater than 500 ppm, the buzzer active. With this tool, it is expected to be able to monitor the real time room temperature and humidity in the server room so that it can reduce the damage to the hard drive or other damage.

Abstract

To full fill the requirements of electric power to the customer economically, the company have to able to predict the requirements of electric power itself accurately. The study is aimed to see how multi linear regression works due to forecast con-sumption of electric power. There are five sectors of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta which has been research field, they are household, business, industrial, general and total sec-tors. The formulas are used and developed based on multi linear regression including the requirements itself. The main tool to support the analysis utilized Matlab (Matrix La-boratory) programming. The study succeeds to develop regression model for each sector.

Abstract

The transient over-voltage phenomenon in an electrical power system caused by weather factors for example rain, lightning and wind, as well as by technical factors for example switching, power electronic and electrical machines. This research was conducted for at distributed transient over-voltage on a 20 kV, and 3 phase 4-wire system, due to thunder pounce. A simple way for the analysis uses EMTP program (Electromagnetic Transients Program) which is a simulation tool to this case (At 20 kV distribution line from Kentungan Power station to Kalasan-Yokyakarta). The results show that transient over-voltage occurred along the distribution lines, and the voltages vary along the distribution line length and the location where the thunder struck.
