Abstract

One of the efforts to reduce exhaust emissions in vehicles is by adding addictive substances to premium fuels, one of the addictive substances in fuel mixing is ethanol. Ethanol is a high-octane fuel and can be used to increase the octane rating in fuel, which comes from sugary plants (sucrose) such as sugar cane, palm juice, coconut juice, etc., starchy plants (flour) cassava, sweet potato, sago, corn, etc. , and cellulose (legnocellulose) plants of wood, straw, and banana stems. Because the content of ethanol has many benefits, including increasing engine performance, saving fuel use, cleaning the combustion chamber, and being able to reduce exhaust emissions, this is because in the ethanol content there is oxygen which helps combustion in the combustion chamber more completely. This study aims to reduce the value of CO and HC concentrations and increase CO . emission levels2 on motorized vehicles. This test is carried out by adding the percentage of ethanol mixture that is 15%, 30%, 45% in premium fuel with engine speed variations of 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, and 4000 rpm. the average decrease is significant from 2000-4000 engine speed, but the largest decrease occurred at 2000 rpm for the E30% of 2.15%, namely from 4.28% to 2.13%. While the concentration of HC emissions from 2000-4000 rpm decreased, the most decreased occurred at 4000 rpm for E30%, which was 270 ppm to 149 ppm.Keywords : ethanol, exhaust emissions

Abstract

Gasoline engine is one type of internal combustion engine that is widely used as a source of power for vehicles. Gasoline engines produce power from the combustion of fuel in the cylinders. In line with the development of science and technology, there are many improvements and developments of components to add power and torque. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of modified exhaust cylinder block on power and torque on a 2 stroke Yamaha f1zr motorcycle with a modified exhaust hole height of 26 mm and a standard exhaust hole of 34 mm with a dynotest test to determine power and torque from 2500 RPM to RPM. 8000. The test results show that the maximum power at the modified exhaust hole is 12.5 HP at 7750 RPM while the standard exhaust port gets a maximum power of 11.5 HP at 7750 RPM. For the modified exhaust hole maximum torque is 11.36 Nm at 7750 RPM rotation while the standard exhaust hole obtains a maximum torque of 10.06 Nm at 7750 RPM rotation.Keywords: Power, torque, exhaust hole

Abstract

Technological developments that continue to develop today are increasingly making it easier for humans to do their jobs, as well as what is happening in the automotive world with the new technology it will make it easier for mechanics to do their jobs because of demands from consumers or the desires of the mechanics themselves who continue to grow to know the influence of standard crankshaft changes and modifications. crankshaft crf230 xiema diablo on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100. This test was carried out using a dynotest tool, the effect of changing the standard crankshaft and modifications on power and torque on a motorcycle honda gl-100 using Pertamax Plus fuel with the result 25.7 Hp at engine speed is 8193Rpm, while the maximum torque results is 22.56 Nm at engine speed of 8979 Nm.Keywords: Crankshaft, Power and Torque

Abstract

Resources to produce energy is one of the increasing needs of society. So that there is an imbalance of load growth with the addition of power plants which will cause an energy deficit or an electrical energy crisis. There have been many studies on alternative energy power plants, one of which is the use of waste heat by using a thermoelectric generator. In this study, a thermoelectric power plant was tested by utilizing motorcycle exhaust heat for charging AAA batteries. When testing the output search, it was found that the highest current in a parallel circuit with 4 thermoelectrics is 104.4 mA and the highest voltage in a series circuit with 4 thermoelectrics is 0.83 V. Then, a AAA battery charging test is carried out using a 4 thermoelectric series circuit. From the results of the battery charging test, it was found that the battery voltage increased over the charging time period from the original 0.08 V to 1.05 V at the end of the charging time period. the current flowing in the circuit during the first 10 minutes is 48.2 mA, at the 20th minute it is 65.5 mA, at the 30th minute it reaches 91.2.Keywords: thermoelectric, energy generation, battery charging

Abstract

Brakes are an important element in a vehicle that serves to reduce and stop the vehicle, allow the vehicle to park in an uneven place and a tool that ensures the safety and security of the driver. One of the important components of the brake system is the brake lining. People are often confused in choosing brake pads. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of local product brake lining grades, genuine parts, and racing on the braking distance and time and which brake lining is better to use. This test was carried out by testing the front brake braking on a flat and straight road on a Honda Sonic 150r with a brake lever pressure of 3 kg at every speed of 30km/hour, 40km/hour, 50km/hour, and 60km/hour by testing 3 times on each canvas. brakes and speed. The test results show that racing grade brake linings are the best to use.Keywords: brake pads, distance, time.

Abstract

Energi geothermal adalah energi yang dihasilkan oleh tekanan panas bumi. Panas ini bernilai sangat besar karena setiap penurunan 100 meter akan terjadi kenaikan suhu sebesar 3 Celcius. Panas bumi tertinggi terdapat dalam inti bumi. Dengan demikian, dapat dipastikan bahwa energi yang dihasilkan pun akan banyak juga. Pemilihan energi panas bumi sebagai sumber energi alternatif merupakan pilihan yang tepat. Pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi sama prinsipnya dengan pembangkit listrik termal berturbin uap lainnya - panas dari bahan bakar (dalam hal ini adalah inti bumi) digunakan untuk memanaskan air atau fluida lainnya yang sesuai. Fluida yang sudah berjalan lalu digunakan untuk memutar turbin generator sehingga menghasilkan listrik. Fluida tersebut lalu didinginkan dan dikembalikan ke sumber panas. Fluida yang ditarik dari dalam bumi membawa campuran beberapa gas, diantaranya karbon dioksida (CO2), hidrogen sulfida (H2S), metana (CH4), dan amonia (NH3). Pencemar-pencemar ini jika lepas ikut memiliki andil pada pemanasan global, hujan asam, dan bau yang tidak sedap serta beracun. Pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi yang ada saat ini mengeluarkan rata-rata 40 kg CO2 per megawatt-jam (MWh).
