Abstract

The  road weaving near Sragen city Central Java has been daily problem  in  last decade. The  existing of high expansive  clay soil in subgrade below the road foundation has been identified as the major cause of this problem. Sand Column become one solution to improve the subgrade since it can ab-sorb the water  from the void of clay soil and drain into the channel. The re-search develops a model of Sand column in laboratorium. The box of 1.0 m x 0.4 m x 0.4 m has been created. 15 cm diameter of sand column then installed at the toe and samples for consolidation test are taken from various distances from the centre of column (i.e. 16.67 cm; 33.33 cm; and 50 cm). The result shows that the Sand Column can improve the soft clay soil in terms of consolidation. The coefficient of consolidation increases as the compression index drops. Consequently, the consolidation settlement can be re-duced significantly.

Abstract

Probabilistic design began more realistic solution compare to the deterministic (conventional) design as it can describe and accommodate of soil variability.  Althought the old approach is widely used, it is confirmed, that almost all natural soils are spatially variable in their properties and rarely homogenous.  This paper focuses on the analysis and design of bored pile foundation on the project of  Solo Quest Hotel based on the probabilistic theory.  The research begins with a certain pre-liminary analysis to prepare the probabilistic analysis of bored pile foundatiaon design, by characterizing the cohesion (cu) from convertion of N value on three SPTs data taken from the site.  It involves an extensive analysis to perform the best-fit distribution of pointwise variability of cohesion (cu) using computer program written in MATLAB.  The next step is deriving the point statistics (i.e. mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation) across the site.  Finally, a certain monte carlo analysis using Crystal Ball computer program is carried out to design the bored pile foundation by inputing all data taken from MATLAB analysis.  The bored pile installed in 12 m depth and the diameters of bored pile 0,6 m respectively.  The  bored pile experiences 43.354,455 kN vertical load.  The results show that there is no objection to hypothesis of normality in the Chi-Square analysis.  Compare to the deterministic analysis, the probabilistic design needs more bored pile to resist the vertical load in a safety factor 2,5 and confident limit 95%.  Furtheremore, the higher variation of  cu data the larger number of bored pile is desired.

Abstract

The soil layer is the combination of many types as well as the soil in the slope area. The soil in the slope is frequently a mixture of clay and sand. The stability of slope becomes dominantly an issue in the geotechnical engineering area. The collapse of the slope occurs because the gravity of external forces is exceeding the shear strength of the soil. The recent research develops the apparatus to determine the angle of repose of the sand-clay soil in the failure conditions. Sandy soil is taken from Beach and Merapi volcano. The clay added into the sand in the proportion of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. The experiment is conducted by taking the height of the falling material of 15cm, 25cm, and 35 cm. Adding 0% to 15% clay brings the sand into SP Category, then adding 20%-30% makes the sand in the SC category. The Modulus if a fine grain of sand beach is smaller than Merapi sand. As the percentage of clay added to the sand higher, the difference of angle of repose of Merapi sand before and after failure is getting smaller, but it is not the case in Beach sand. The percentage of loss of volume of Merapi sand after failure is also going down as the portion of clay higher. The loss of volume of Beach sand added by clay is getting higher in failure condition..

Abstract

Produktivitas adalah rasio antara hasil yang dicapai (output) dengan sumber daya yang digunakan (input). Dengan kata lain, keefektifan mengacu pada pencapaian pekerjaan maksimal dengan penggunaannya atau bagaimana pekerjaan itu dilakukan. Salah satu hal yang memengaruhi produktivitas kerja adalah pemilihan dan penggunaan alat berat yang sesuai. Berdasarkan hal tersebut akan dibahas analisis waktu rencana terhadap waktu pelaksanaan dan analisis produktivitas alat berat terhadap waktu pelaksanaan pekerjaan pada bendungan utama proyek bendungan Bendo, Ponorogo dengan membandingkan produktivitas yang mengacu pada PUPR dan pabrikasi agar diketahui alat berat yang lebih produktif dengan menggunakan studi lapangan (Field Research) dan studi kepustakaan (Literature Study). Dalam penelitian ini, alat berat yang dianalisis adalah Excavator, Bulldozer dan Vibratory Roller. Berdasarkan data lapangan Excavator 1 pada bulan Agustus menghasilkan 50.586,4 m3 dan berdasarkan pabrikasi adalah 55.224,8 m3. Berdasarkan analisis hasil perhitungan produktivitas lebih sesuai apabila mengacu pada PUPR daripada pabrikasi, karena perbedaan volume hanya sedikit. Menurut analisis kurva S yang direncanakan dengan kurva S realisasi, volume yang dihasilkan melebihi target yang direncanakan, yang berarti penggunaan alat berat seperti yang diharapkan. Pada kurva S, rencana ditargetkan untuk bobot sebesar 2,18% dan hasil kurva S diperoleh 4,08%.

Abstract

Tanah di Desa Troketon, Kecamatan Pedan, Kabupaten Klaten mempunyai nilai PI sebesar 34,59%; LL 62,55%; PL 27,96%; dan SL 19.62% ditinjau dengan metode USCS (United Soil Clasification System) termasuk ke dalam kelompok golongan CH yaitu lempung anorganik berplastisitas tinggi. Tanah lempung yang buruk dapat mengakibatkan rusaknya bangunan di atasnya seperti jalan yang bergelombang. Tanah lempung yang buruk dapat diperbaiki menggunakan drainase vertikal yang bertujuan untuk mempercepat penurunan sehingga waktu yang dihabiskan untuk pembangunan relatif singkat dan tidak memakan biaya yang berlebih. Pada penelitian drainase vertikal ini digunakan kolom campuran pasir dan pecahan beton dengan variasi susunan kolom pola bujur sangkar dan segitiga. Sampel diambil pada titik tengah antar 4 kolom , 3 kolom dan 2 kolom, kemudian dilakukan pengujian konsolidasi. Pada variasi bujur sangkar titik tengah antar 4 kolom didapatkan nilai CV sebesar 0,000187 cm2/s, CC sebesar 0.429 dan SC sebesar 0.173 sedangkan, titik tengah antar 2 kolom mempunyai CV sebesar 0,000163 cm2/s, CC sebesar 0.490 dan SC sebesar 0.176. Pada variasi segitiga titik tengah antar 3 kolom didapatkan nilai CV sebesar 0.000129 cm2/s, CC sebesar 0.541 dan SC sebesar 0.254 sedangkan, titik tengah antar 2 kolom mempunya nilai CV sebesar 0.000114 cm2/s, CC sebesar 0.561 dan SC sebesar 0.258. Sehingga kolom campuran pasir dan pecahan beton dengan variasi bujur sangkar lebih baik untuk digunakan sebagai drainase vertikal.

Abstract

The implementation of the road project in Wonogiri Regency was often different between the planning with has be held that making problem for contractor like as late work and cost overrun. Therefore, the purpose of this research is knowing what is cost overrun factors and also amount of cost overruns of the road project in Wonogiri Regency which used APBD 2017 and 2018 experienced by contractor. This research was conducted by asking questions to the contractor who worked on the road project in 2017 and 2018. The analysis of this research has using the SPSS program. Based on the analysis has been done, field regulation become dominant of cost overrun. The lack of provision of field support facilities and the limited size of the project area are the reasons why field regulation factors can be a major factor causing cost overruns on road projects in Wonogiri Regency. Based on the answers from respondents it can be concluded that the contractors who experienced a swelling cost of 1% -5% there were 44 respondents, then for the cost swelling of 6% -10% there were 28 respondents, and 11% -15% there were 2 respondents, and 16% -20% only 1 respondent.

Abstract

Proyek pembangunan RSUD Pondok Aren menggunakan alat-alat berat pada dalam pekerjaan tanahnya. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan alat berat dalam setiap pekerjaan perlu dilakukan analisis alat berat excavator Komatsu PC50, excavator Hitachi Zx 210-5, three wheel roller Sakai KD7610 dan dump truck Colt FE SHD yang digunakan sehingga dapat mengetahui jumlah produktivitas dan biaya alat berat. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis untuk mendapatkan besarnya produktivitas, waktu, dan biaya alat berat berdasarkan data rencana dan data saat pelaksanaan untuk dilakukan perbandingan antara saat perencanaan dan pelaksanaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan produktivitas alat berat berdasarkan data pabrikasi lebih besar dibandingkan dengan saat pelaksanaan sehingga pada pelaksanaan dibutuhkan waktu 95 hari lebih lama dibandingkan waktu rencana. Besarnya biaya yang dikeluarkan pada pelaksanaan sebesar Rp 205.800.000 sedangkan pada perencanaan sebesar Rp.559.397.556 dengan selisih biaya pelaksanaan dan biaya perencanaan sebesar Rp 353.597.556 dimana biaya pada pelaksanaan lebih murah dibandingkan dengan perencanaan.
