Abstract

Competition in the era of Asean Economic Community is increasingly stringent, leading the Islamic educational institutions not only oriented to academic aspects but also on other aspects, including the economic aspects. The concept of Islamic educational institutions today should lead to the establishment of creative Islamic educational institutions, especially creative-based economies. Islamic education institutions today are no longer sticking to conventional learning methods to provide knowledge to the human resources of Islamic education, but to apply learning methods while learning, which is expected to guide the human resources of Islamic education to develop creativity, innovation, and productivity. Looking at the prospects that are needed at this time, the Islamic educational institutions are expected to immediately change the orientation of Islamic education in the institution, in order to produce excellence in social, cultural, economic, and etc.

Abstract

Kebijakan “Merdeka Belajar, Kampus Merdeka” digagas oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan yang meliputi 1) pembukaan program studi  baru, 2) sistem  akreditasi  perguruan tinggi, 3) kebebasan menjadi PTN-BH, dan 4) hak belajar tiga  semester di luar  program studi. Empat kebijakan fundamental ini memberikan harapan besar bagi Perguruan Tinggi Swasta berkembang dan berdaya saing nasional maupun internasional.Kebijakan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan ini layak disebut dengan perubahan yang cukup ekstrim, hal ini kemudian memunculkan beberapa keraguan di benak akademisi. Diantara pertanyaan besar yang mucul dari kebijakan merdeka Belajar, Kampus Merdeka” adalah 1) Bagaimana mekanisme implementasi kerjasama kampus dengan pihak eksternal dengan latar belakang kampus yang berbeda-beda?; 2) Bagaimana mekanisme pertukaran pelajar dan magang dengan kondisi geografis, mutu SDM, dan ondisi perekonomian yang berbeda-beda masing-masing individu?; 3) Bagaimana mekanisme penjaminan mutu institusi dengan kebijakan akreditasi yang baru?.Kebijakan visioner Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan ini layak untuk diapresiasi, akan tetapi muncul beberapa persoalan dari penerapan kebijakan “Merdeka Belajar, Kampus Merdeka” yang harus segera dicarikan solusinya. Maka dari itu artikel ini berusaha mengulas bentuk kebijakan Merdeka Belajar dan tantangan pelaksanaannya.

Abstract

This article was written to examine the policy form of the Republic of Indonesia’s Minister of Education and Culture and its development toward the evaluation of Islamic religious education (PAI) learning. This article was written using a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. Data for the literature study were gathered through a process of scrutiny, analysis, and presentation of findings. According to the results of the literature review, the Ministry of Education and Culture’s, Nadiem Makarim, policy is known as the “Freedom of Learning” policy. This policy addresses four issues: national standard school exams (USBN) developed by each school; changes to the national exam (UN) to a minimum competency assessment and character survey; educators’ freedom to design lesson plans (RPP); and flexibility in new student admissions regulations (PPSB). “Merdeka Belajar” is distinguished by its creativity, learning orientation toward problem solving, needs-based learning, and integration into the workplace, as well as a comprehensive assessment system. This has an impact on the need for PAI learning evaluation development. This article concludes that evaluation evaluation is based on the purpose of human birth as ‘abdun and caliph; PAI learning evaluation includes aspects of ‘aqliya, bāṭiniya, and ‘amaliya; and PAI learning evaluation is carried out to balance the power of thought, dhikr, and charity.

Abstract

The learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is mostly done online, is a challenge for educational institutions in strengthening character values in students, which is an important aspect of educational goals.This research aimed to analyze the implementation of the kemuhammadiyahan subject on empowering poor families during the COVID-19 pandemic in strengthening character values for students. This research was conducted through a qualitative method combining two data collection techniques; review on documents (books and journal articles) and observation of 238 students from 16 departments and 6 faculties who had attended kemuhammadiyahan subject at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka.This research reveals that kemuhammadiyahan subjects using the online learning method combined with field assignments (luring) in the form of empowering poor families have an effect on strengthening student character values. After taking the kemuhammadiyahan subject, students increasingly have a sense and attitude of caring for others (welas asih), sympathy and empathy, social responsibility, gratitude, optimism, generosity, honesty, discipline, patience, citizenship, commitment, compassion, and sincerity. Students also feel that they are increasingly possessing skills such as creative, innovative, communicative and collaborative.This study also shows that kemuhammadiyahan subjects have contributed to helping the poor who were economically affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this kemuhammadiyahan subject model is relevant to the Freedom of Learning-Independence Campus (MBKM) policy which was initiated by the Ministry of Education which requires learning which can be implemented based on humanitarian project programs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe moslem dress policy strategy and its impact on religious life of SMP Negeri I Jetis Ponorogo learners. This research is a qualitative research, using passive participant observation, structured interview, and documentation, then analyzed with a qualitative descriptive analysis. From the study, it was found that policy implementation strategy of moslem dress was based on the agreement between school, parents, and students. There was no compulsion on the learners to wear the moslem dress at school, indeed, it was their own awareness to wear this moslem dress as the obligation of Moslem based on al-Quran and al-Hadist. The impact of the moslem dress policy implementation, combined with other religious habituation, showed that it was able to direct the students thought and mental development towards the better direction; It was also able to make the students social life more controlled, make the students having more religious daily life both at school and home, as reflected on the students manners and morals.

Abstract

Karangpatihan village, Balong sub-district, Ponorogo district is a village that is already known as the ideot village, some of its people have mental retardation (drown syndrome) in the mentally retarded type. Instilling Independence and Religious Values in Idiot's village families in Ponorogo Regency is an effort to relieve idiot families from adversity. In the aspect of independence, the idiot village family tries to produce works or work to fulfill all their needs without having to depend on the welfare of others. In the aspect of inculcating religious values, it is very necessary to help alleviate the problems of idiot families through a spiritual approach that is felt to be very important, with spiritual guidance it is hoped that it can foster faith and piety and provide direction in behavior. The values of worship also play a large role in motivating and guiding a person to do good in the context of social relations with the community.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 encourages every field to be able to run with the times, not least in the field of education. Educational institutions must be able to improve the quality of services and learning so that they can produce graduates who are ready to fill every required field. One effort that can be done is to apply bilingualism in learning so that students have sufficient soft skills in English and Arabic.The purpose of this research was to determine the school management in implementing bilingualism in their learning both inside and outside the classroom, as well as the effectiveness of bilingual learning activities at Muhammadiyah Boarding School Jetis Ponorogo.This research uses a qualitative approach, with an ethnographic research design. This design in data collection uses direct observation techniques in the field, conducts in-depth interviews, and collects various documentary information. The data analysis technique is data reduction, data presentation, data validity validation and drawing conclusions.The results of this research are as follows: Bilingual learning at PP MBS Jetis Ponorogo is one of the visions and missions of MBS Jetis. MBS Jetis conceptualizes a bilingual learning strategy so that the achievement of language standards can be achieved. The implementation of bilingual learning at MBS Jetis is carried out in stages and on a scheduled basis, starting with activities after Fajr until Dhuhur, after which activities are continued in the dormitory. Bilingual learning that has been carried out at MBS Jetis has a positive impact both in terms of academic and non-academic.
