Abstract

This study aimed to explore the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in vocational schools, Banten in terms of the readiness and quality of the learning tools that have been prepared. A total of 957 respondents from 2017 to 2018, consisting of four cities and three districts in Banten Province were involved in the training and mentoring program, namely vocational teachers and vice-principals in the curriculum field. Data were collected using questionnaire sheets, FGD notes, and observation check dates. The data obtained are analyzed and interpreted based on the specified categories. The results showed that: 1) Teacher readiness for learning tools in the components a) Core Competencies (CC) and Basic Competencies (BC) analysis of 45.31%, b) Program mapping of 38.37%, learning plan preparation of 39.45% and c) Learning evaluation of 36.78%; 2) The quality of lesson plan (LP) the science lesson plan analysis instrument (SLPAI) based is divided into two groups. The category "Quality" in the instructional program and instructional plan aspects, and the category "Moderate" in the instructional media and assessment and others aspects; and 3) The difficulty of learning device components, including authentic assessment, use of methods, literacy approaches, and lesson planning. The implementation of training, mentoring, and supervision programs are adjusted to the experience of vocational teachers taking into account the teacher's involvement in the implementation of the curriculum, age, and school readiness.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar minat masuk perguruan tinggi bagi siswa kelas XII program keahlian Teknik Mesin dan Teknik Otomotif di SMK Serang masuk tahun 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling sejumlah 165 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket  (kuesioner). Uji validitas instrument dilakukan dengan construct validity melalui experts judgment dengan metode factor analysis. Uji reliabititas menggunakan Alpha. Besarnya minat diuji dengan statistic regresi ganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa minat masuk perguruan tinggi di Serang dengan rerata persentase 71.76%. Minat tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam diri sendiri, faktor lingkungan keluarga, dan faktor lingkungan sekolah dengan koefisien regresi masing-masing sebesar 0.199; 0.190; dan 0.090. Faktor diri sendiri dan lingkungan keluarga secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi minat masuk perguruan tinggi sebesar 37,6%. Kata kunci: Minat, Perguruan Tinggi, Diri Sendiri, Sekolah, dan Keluarga

Abstract

Pendidikan Teknik Mesin-Untirta melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sebagai perwujudan kompetensi yang diperoleh pada mata kuliah Teknik Sepeda Motor dan Motor Kecil. Kompetensi ini membekali peserta didik agar mampu melaksanakan servis pada small engine atau kendaraan roda dua. Sebagai bentuk integrasi pengabdian, sejumlah mahasiswa dalam pengawasan dosen menyelenggarakan kegiatan tune-up motorcycle 4th. Sebanyak 45 kendaraan dalam waktu 2 hari berhasil diselesaikan. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu memberikan layanan jasa kepada masyarakat dan meningkatkan ketrampilan bagi mahasiswa. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari analisis situasi, jasa pelayanan (sikap, sistem, prosedur dan metode kerja, pengorganisasian tugas dan layanan), dan evaluasi kegiatan dan hasil. Hasil layanan tune-up motorcycle yaitu: (1) pelaksanaan pengabdian sesuai prosedur dengan kategori meningkat, (2) kesadaran masyarakat meningkat terutama pada tindakan awal berupa pemeriksaan tekanan ban, nyala lampu, dan fungsi rem, (3) pemahaman edukasi sebelum tindakan 22% melakukan perawatan dengan adanya edukasi 56% memahami; dan (4) pada pekerjaan tune-up total, sistem kemudi, rem dan penggantian oli memerlukan pengauatan khusus pada pengabdian selanjutnya. Pengabdian terintegrasi pendidikan merupakan bentuk perpaduan tridharma yang dapat diterapkan pada kegiatan lainnya.

Abstract

Now days, the integration of technology in the concept of learning is the trend in global education. The conceptual framework model is a general reference, and the only concept is Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge (TPACK). However, vocational education has knowledge of specific content, so adjusting conceptual models in professional learning is important to learn and offer. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the concept of TPACK into the concept of vocational education to improve the professionalism of vocational teachers in content knowledge. The author discusses the knowledge structure of vocational fields that are built based on work, content, technology, and the suitability of the learning approach. Based on the results of the article found a new construction in building knowledge in the field of vocational education with special expertise characteristics and shifting pedagogical concepts towards andragogy in learning concept. The results of the analysis recommend the TPACK concept transformed into the Technology, Andragogy, Work, and Content Knowledge (TAWOCK) concept in vocational learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) skala mikro sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi dan menganalisis kelayakan produk media pembelajaran PLTB skala mikro dari hasil validasi ahli dan pengguna. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model product and tool research bagian tool development and use. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) yang mengontrak mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi. Pengambilan data terdiri dari 3 ahli materi, 3 ahli media dan 13 pengguna (mahasiswa) dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah : (1) Pengembangan produk berupa PLTB skala mikro menghasilkan karakteristik dengan ukuran 100 x 100 x 160 cm (P x L x T) yang bisa dibongkar pasang, output daya yang dihasilkan 14,73 volt, beban (lampu LED) yang menyala 10 watt, dan menggunakan 3 propeler yang terbuat dari material kayu pinus, dan (2) Analisis kelayakan oleh validasi ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi.

Abstract

Tujuan perancangan panel peraga kelistrikan luar mobil ini adalah  untuk  meningkatkan kompetensi berfikir  kritis mahasiswa. Media pembelajaran yang telah dirancang selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian untuk didapatkan validasi sesuai dengan karakteristik media meliputi aspek: kriteria pendidikan, tampilan program, dan kualitas teknis. Validasi ini di bagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu validasi ahli dan validasi pengguna. Validasi ahli terdiri dari validasi oleh ahli media yang dilakukan oleh dosen di bidang pendidikan kejuruan. Analisis terhadap pakar ahli media dengan kriteria tampilan program dan kualitas teknis memiliki rerata “baik”, secara  tampilan dan kualitas teknis sudah baik. Setelah dilakukan revisi, maka selanjutnya analisis isi materi dengan kriteria pendidikan, tampilan program, dan kualitas teknis sesuai dengan kebutuhan uji. Pada bidang materi hasil rerata yang didapatkan “Sangat Baik”. Hasil uji pengguna diperoleh hasil “Sangat Baik” dilihat dari segi pendidikan, tampilan program, dan kualitas teknis. Pernyataan tersebut diperkuat dengan sikap dan tanggapan mahasiswa yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ini dapat dniyatakan “Sangat Baik”. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat tertarik dengan media yang bersifat baru dan menyenangkan, serta dapat memotivasi belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan pendidikan kejuruan selayaknya memperhatikan kearifan lokal masing-masing daerah. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui pendidikan yang tepat dan solutif untuk menjawab tantangan persaingan global yang saat ini menjadi pusat perhatian, yaitu pemberlakuan Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA). Adanya penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang sesuai dengan potensi daerah akan memicu pertumbuhan perekonomian masyarakat lokal, sehingga setiap daerah mampu bersaing sesuai dengan karakteristik dan keunikan daerah masing-masing. Beberapa hal penting yang selayaknya menjadi pertimbangan dalam pengembangan pendidikan kejuruan di setiap daerah yaitu karakteristik daerah, regulasi pemerintah daerah, kesadaran masyarakat, kesiapan sekolah, dan karakteristik industri setempat. Kelima aspek tersebut sangat penting untuk dijadikan dasar pengembangan pendidikan kejuruan agar menghasilkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kejuruan berbasis kearifan lokal yang mampu mencetak lulusan yang kompeten dan kompetitif.

Abstract

The qualified teacher is teacher who has the standards of educator that has capability of their materials according to the standard of the contents and carry out the learning process according to the standard of the process. Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) is the administration prepared teachers before carrying out the learning process. This research aims to know the quality of the LIP who made by teachers. This research is a descriptive qualitative. The data were collected through questionnaire, document’s noting, and interviews method. The research subjects are vocational teachers in SMK Negeri 1 Cilegon. The results of this research shows that (1) the completeness of the components 63.63; (2) conformity between components 85.7; (3) feasibility of competence 100; (4) feasibility of the indicators and the achievement of basic competencies 100; (5) feasibility of the learning objectives 80; (6) formulate learning objectives 75; (7) choosing and organizing the learning material 80; (8) feasibility of the learning activities 84.6; (9) selection of learning methods 100; (10) selection of media, tools and learning resources 85.71; and (11) the feasibility assessment 85.7, so that the average was 85.5 with good qualifications. The LIP is structured properly can increase the effectiveness of learning in the classroom and improve the quality of teaching and graduates are in accordance with the needs of the ASEAN Economic Community.

Abstract

This development research aims to describe the working concept of EMC with VPE valuation method. The EMC quality is based on following aspects: (1) valid according to experts; (2) practical according to practitioners; and (e) effective based on students ability test. The developed cycles and procedures refer to the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data was collected using rating scale sheet (1-5) and percentage of learning using EMC outcomes. The research results show that the valid and practical aspects of the category are valid and practical enough with an average score of 3.68 (73.6%) and 3.75 (75.0%) respectively. While the results of the effective test obtained an average score of 3.74 (74.8%) and the competence test results is 80.51%. The advantages of EMC are attractive design, practical size, and ease of use (user-friendly). Students recommend that they enjoy learning with EMC and it supports learning about chassis.

Abstract

Risk analysis aims to prevent the incompatibility of a system used in the testing process including the Boiler system. At the Labuan 2 Steam Power Plant (PLTU) 2, the Boiler component was declared "very often" to have a pipe leak. Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a method used to analyze the risk of failure. This method is represented by calculating the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number) obtained from the results of the multiplication of S (severty), O (occurrence), and D (detection). The highest analysis results are shown at 480 (in the steam drum component in the form of abnormal steam and water level failure). The cause is human error. Next three levels below are (1) Economizer component, which is 360 causes of combustion side ash erosion, material lifetime, and economizer tube fibration; (2) super heater tube and re-heater tube components which are 320 due to Corrosion, Overheat Flyash erosion, Sub blower erosion, Welding error; and (3) Walltube which is 320 causes of overheating and sub blower erosion. The recommendation for the analysis of FMEA testing to predict mantenance is done by applying remaining life assessment after 8,000 hours / operational.
