Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic and extrinsic elements in the novel Dia Is Kakakku by Tere Liye. The method in this research uses qualitative analysis methods. Based on the data analysis, the intrinsic elements contained in Tere Liye's novel Dia Is My Kakakku are (1) the theme in Tere Liye's Dia Is My Kakakku novel tells the love of an older brother, (2) the main character in Tere Liye's Dia Is my Kakakku novel. namely Laisa, while the additional characters are Mamak, Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, Yashinta, Wak Burhan, Cie Hui. (3) The setting is divided into two, namely the setting of the place covering the Lahambay Valley, Jungle Forest, Upper Village, Sub-District City, river, house, schools, airports, hospitals and the time setting in this story is at 19:30 local time. (4) language style, namely metamonia language style, (5) "he" third person point of view (6) The plot/plot used is the situational stage, the conflict and conflict stages decrease, the emergence of conflicts, (7) the mandate is to fight hard, be patient , unyielding, and responsible like Laisa who did her best to raise her four siblings with Mamak Lainuri. The extrinsic elements contained in the novel Dia Is My Kakakku are (1) the background of the author, namely the biography of the author of the novel, (2) the socio-cultural situation of the author and its influence on the literary work created, namely the author in making the novel (3) the values contained in the novel. namely moral values, cultural values, social values, religious values.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe the types of directive and expressive speech acts in the novel "My Lecturer My Husband" by Gitlicious and describe the function of speech acts in the novel "My Lecturer My Husband" by Gitlicious. This study has two problem formulations, namely (1) What are the types of directive and expressive speech acts in the novel "My Lecturer My Husband" by Gitlicious and (2) What are the functions of directive and expressive speech acts in the novel "My Lecturer My Husband" by Gitlicious. The theory that underlies this research is (1) the notion of novel, (2) the nature of pragmatics, (3) the notion of pragmatics, (4) the notion of speech acts, (5) aspects of speech situations, (6) types of speech acts. This study uses instruments, namely tools that are selected and used by researchers in data collection activities so that these activities become systematic. In qualitative research, the research instrument or tool is the researcher himself. Data collection is done by recording method, library method and documentation method. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The steps in analyzing the data are (1) reducing the data, (2) presenting the data, (3) verifying the data, (4) and concluding the data. The results of this study indicate that 36 indicators of directive speech acts and 14 indicators of expressive speech acts were found. In this study, the research found each type of directive and expressive speech acts in the novel My Lecture My Husband by Gitlicious. There are 4 directive speech acts, asking for 2, asking for 10, asking for 3, urging 1, suggesting 5, ordering 7 and begging 4. And expressive speech acts 3, saying thank you is 1, criticizing is there 2, congratulating 2, complaining 2 and blaming 3. While in terms of function, the researcher found that there were 35 indicators of directive speech act functions and 12 indicators of expressive speech act functions. From each function of the speech act in the novel My Lecturer My Husband by Gitlicious, the researcher found the directive speech act function of forcing, asking, ordering, inviting, urging, suggesting, ordering and pleading. While the function of expressive speech acts, the researcher only found the functions of praising, thanking, criticizing, congratulating, complaining and blaming

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of language politeness and the factory that influence language politeness in the novel “Dua Garis Biru by Lucia Priandarini” . The method used in this study is a qualitative. The data in this study are in the form of the charaters in the novel two Two Blue Lines by Lucia Priandarini. The data source in this research is the novel Two Blue Lines by Lucia Priandarini. The results of this study indcate that there are 41 utterances between the characters on the novel Two Bule Lines by Lucia Priandarini, wich consists of 17 forms of imoerative politeness with the intention of telling, 9 forms of politeness with the intention of giving feedback, 5 forms of telling or declarative politeness, 2 forms of politeness with the intetion of prohibiting, and three forms of politeness with the intention of asking for permission. Factors influencing politeness in language in the novel Two Blue Lines by Lucia Priandarini factors that influence language politeness in Lucia Priandarini, novel Two Blue Lines include word choice factors, kinship, or closeness, factors, status factors and situasional factors.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe and analyze moral values and implications for character education in the novel "Cuko" by Atiestanabirah.. The data collection methods carried out are: (a) Literature study: (2) Data observation (3) decamentation The steps in analyzing data are as follows: (a) data gathering, (b) playing data, analyzing and recording (c) verifying data ( d) conclude the data describe the data. Perozuan results of data analysis using informal methods. Based on the results of the analysis of moral malai in Anetanabirah's novel "Cuko" found the forms of moral malai in the form of (1) religious values (2) humility values, (3) hard values (4) starting to be independent (5) caring, (6) the value of the sacrifice (7) the value of the faucet. (8) polite value. (9) the value of responsibility. The implication of moral values in Arisstanabirah's novel "Cuko" on character education is that moral values in the form of morality towards God are related to religious values and morals towards others, namely the value of humility, the value of hard work, and independence. the value of caring, the value of sacrifice, the value of grace, the value of manners responsibility value.

Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah bertujuan mendeskripsikan psikologi sastra dalam novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa serta nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel Hafalat Shalat Delisa. Sumber data adalah novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa karya Tere Liye, yang diterbitkan Republika. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan metode kepustakaan. Hasil analisis menunjukan terdapat aspek Psikologi Sastra dalamHafalan Shalat Delisa yang berupa Id, Ego dan Superego. Dalam novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter, di antaranya: pendidikan karakter religius, kejujuran, bersahabat, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, kreatif, peduli sosial, cinta damai, gemar membaca, dan toleransi.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe the shape of the plot, setting, and characters in the novel and film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel by Arumi Ekowati. This data collection was carried out using the method of observation, reading, listening, and taking notes. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The steps in analyzing the data are by classifying, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The research results obtained were in the form of turning the novel into a film in the form of shrinking, adding, and varying changes in plot, setting, and characters in the novel and film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel by Arumi Ekowati. The transformation of the novel into a film in the form of shrinking, adding, and varying changes in the plot, setting, and characters was done because the film had limited time or duration so that it could not include the whole story in the novel.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of pragmatics seen from the aspect of speech acts. The purpose of this research is to find out the speech acts based on Austin's theory which in Austin's theory there are three speech acts namely locution, illocution and perlocution in the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar. In this research, data collection method is used, namely observation method, reading method, and note-taking method. The data analysis method used in this research is by reducing data, presenting data, verifying data, and concluding data. The results obtained in the research of speech acts in the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar are forty-seven utterances including nineteen locutionary speech acts, namely fifteen statement locutions, two question locutions and two command locutions. In illocutionary speech acts there are eighteen utterances including two representative illocutions, two commissive illocutions, eight directive illocutions, five expressive illocutions and one declarative illocution. Then, in perlocutionary speech acts there are ten numbers of utterances. The factors that cause the occurrence of speech acts in the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar are telling something informative, conveying criticism or satire, honesty or insistence, conveying prohibition.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which aims to 1) improve skills and creativity in writing procedure texts for class VII B students of SMP Sapta Andika; 2) Knowing the learning steps for implementing the Project Based Learning method in an effort to improve skills and creativity in writing procedural texts for class VII B students of SMP Sapta Andika; 3) Knowing student responses after implementing the Project Based Learning method in learning to write procedural texts. Collecting data in this study using the method of observation, tests and questionnaires. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods. The results of the research show an increase in the ability and creativity of students in writing procedural texts using the Project Based Learning method which can be seen from the acquisition of the average student score which increases each cycle, namely the acquisition of the average student pretest score which only reaches 69.39 increased in cycle I after the implementation of the Project Based Learning method using video media obtained an average value of 74.87 then in cycle II it increased again after the implementation of the Project Based Learning method using media produced by students' skills with an average class value of 83.29. As for the learning steps from implementing the Project Based Learning method which is able to improve students' ability and creativity in writing procedural texts, namely 1) Determining basic questions, 2) Designing project plans, 3) Arranging implementation schedules, 4) Monitoring students and project progress, 5) Test results, 6) Evaluate experience. The implementation of the Project Based Learning method in learning to write procedural texts received positive responses from students, as indicated by the percentage of strongly agreeing and agreeing on the statements in the questionnaire reaching 94.62%.

Abstract

Research is to describe the form of directive speech acts of teachers and students in class VIII SMP Sila Dharma in the process of learning Indonesian. This research is a type of qualitative research, literature study, field study, and a combination of both. The data source is from Directive Speech Acts in Class VIII Indonesian Language Learning at SMP Sila Dharma. Data collection techniques using the method of observation and methods of literature. The results of the analysis show that there is an Analysis of Speech Acts in Indonesian Language Learning at Class VIII Sila Dharma Middle School. the researcher found 28 forms and functions of directive speech acts. Of the 28 forms of directive speech acts include: 5 directive speech acts asking, 3 directive speech acts ordering, 5 directive speech acts begging, 5 directive speech acts suggesting, 5 directive speech acts inviting, 1 directive speech act giving a signal, 3 speech acts directive challenge and 1 speech act directive charge.

Abstract

This study is a class action study (PTK) aimed at 1) Knowing the improvement of speaking skills through digital literacy using case based learning (CBL) methods in the VIII C class of Sapta Andika Junior High School; 2) Knowing the steps of case based learning (CBL) methods in improving speaking skills through digital literacy in news text learning in the VIII C class of Sapta Andika Junior High School. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and test methods. The data obtained are analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in speaking skills through digital literacy using case-based learning (CBL) methods in news text learning in Sapta Andika Junior High School VIII C grade students. This can be seen from the student’s average learning score, which is in the pretest of getting an average test score of 67,67. Then, in cycle I get an average test result of average test score of 75,93. Also, in cycle II, the average test score was 79,65.
