Abstract

Literary work is a reflection of the author from the life of reality. Literature in people's lives has various functions. The problem of this research is how social and cultural facts that occur in real life with those that occur in novels with a mimetic approach. and its support for literary learning. The purpose of this research is to find out the social and cultural facts that occur in the novel Pingkan Mefold Distance by Sapardi Djoko Damono's work with those that occur in the real world and their interactions with literary learning. The scope of this research is to describe the social and culture in the real world with what happens in the novel and its attraction to learning. The benefits of this research can be used as a reference in conducting research related to mimetic studies. The theory that underlies this research is (a) the notion of novel, (b) the notion of literature, (c) the notion of mimetics, (d) social and cultural facts. Data collection was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method. The steps of data collection in this research are reading, understanding, taking notes, classifying, triangulating, and reducing data. The method of data analysis in this study is to present the data and conclude the data. The results of the research on the novel Pingkan Folding the Distance by Sapardi Djoko Damono contained thirtysix data, including the reality of social and cultural life. In the analysis of how to describe social and cultural life in life in the novel, which is then analyzed according to life that occurs in real life. An example of the reality of social life is Toar likes to blush when he talks all kinds of things about the world of fairies, donyan leuntung, the world of spirits that are believed to exist by the Javanese. A cultural example, Onarigami, sounds like it's disconnected. Paying attention and remembering lectures on the concept of derivatives from Japan. The implications of the results of the Pingkan Mefold Distance novel research in the literary learning process as it should be in language learning and literary learning are interrelated. The implications of the results of data analysis on social and cultural facts can give us a picture of the real social and cultural life. In addition, there are many examples that can be taken from the story of this novel, especially regarding the character values contained in it. Regarding the two cultures of Java and Japan, there are signs of each other's life. To literary connoisseurs, take advantage of the good life in the novel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the form of directive speech acts and the form of expressive speech acts in Eka Wijaya's novel Tak Terbayang and (2) the function of directive speech acts and expressive speech acts in Eka Wijaya's novel Tak Terbayang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The source of the data for this research is the novel Unthinkable by Eka Wijaya. The instruments used in this research are the researcher himself and the data card. Methods of data collection using the method of reading and taking notes. The results showed that there are forms and functions of speech acts in Eka Wijaya's novel Tak Terbayang consisting of 38 forms of illocutionary speech acts which include 25 forms of directive speech acts consisting of 1 form of coercive directive speech act, 2 forms of requesting directive speech act, 2 forms of directive speech act directive speech act of commanding, 2 forms of speech act of suggesting directive, 1 form of speech act of giving a cue, 6 forms of speech act of challenging and 2 forms of directive speech act of pleading. While the 13 forms of expressive speech acts consist of 3 expressive speech acts praising, 4 thanking speech acts, 3 complaining expressive speech acts, 1 defeating expressive speech act and 2 flattering expressive speech acts. The function of speech acts in Eka Wijaya's novel Tak Terbayang consists of 38 functions of illocutionary speech acts which include 25 functions of directive speech acts consisting of 1 function of coercing directive speech act, 2 speech act of asking directive, 2 directive speech act of ordering, 2 functions of directive speech act suggesting, 9 functions of commanding directive speech act, 1 function of signaling speech act, 6 functions of challenging directive speech act and 2 functions of pleading directive speech act. While the 13 functions of expressive speech acts consist of 3 functions of expressive speech acts of praise, 4 functions of speech acts of saying thank you, 3 functions of expressive speech acts of complaining, 1 function of expressive speech acts of blaming, and 2 functions of expressive speech acts of flattering.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The main purpose of this research is to provide an overview and also knowledge to readers or literary connoisseurs about the intrinsic elements contained in the novel Layar Terkembang by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The data in this study is the text of the novel Layar Terkembang by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The instruments used in this research are the researcher himself and the data card. The data collection technique in this research is using reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis method in this study used a qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this study indicate the findings of intrinsic elements, namely the theme, plot, characters and characterizations, setting, language style, point of view and mandate. The theme found in this novel is about women's emancipation and romance. The flow used is the forward flow. The main characters are Tuti, Maria and Yusuf; supporting characters, namely Raden Wiriaatmaja, Partadiharja, Saleh, Ratna, Sukarto and Rukamah; while the side characters are the three boys around the aquarium, Partadiharja's wife, Juhro, Yusuf's father, Yusuf's mother, Dahlan, Rukmini, nurse Maria, Iskandar and Ningsih. The setting is at the Fish Market, near a shady tamarind tree, under a mango tree, consensus building, front porch, Lake Ranau, polyclinic, Martapura City, Dago Waterfall, CBZ (hospital), Saleh's house in Sessionlaya, at home sick in Pacet and public cemeteries; the time setting occurs in the morning, afternoon, evening and Sunday; The background of the atmosphere is bustling, wisdom, serenity and emotion. The language style used is using figurative language (personification, hyperbole and litotes) and ancient Malay language. The point of view used is the third person point of view. The mandate is that women must be knowledgeable in order to have a great influence in the life of the nation and state so that their position in society can be more respected.
