Abstract

This article discusses how to rejected students seen from various opinions of students with popular and controversial status. Observations were made on students in Junior High Schools who received responses from their social environment. The aim is to find out the factors that are considered a peer. Furthermore, this article tries to reveal how students are rejected in their daily lives outside the classroom, before on matters not approved by the teacher. This research is a qualitative study using in-depth interviews to collect the data. The sample is using snowball sampling, then was analyzed by quantitative analysis. The results show that rejected student who have peer rejection tend to have aggressive behavior that disturbs their classmates. This group experienced rejection from its social environment because of bad habits and more often doing bullying (both verbally and physically). These results contribute to the teacher be able to recognize their students better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pada pengaruh personal (personal influence) gender dan umur dalam melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di Kalimantan Tengah. Melalui metode kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologis yang dilakukan kepada mahasiswa universitas negeri dan swasta di Kalimantan Tengah. Wawancara dilakukan kepada 10 orang responden dengan porsi 50 persen diantara kedua perguruan tinggi. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa secara umum rata-rata umur 17-18 tahun menjadi batasan umur untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi. Termasuk tidak ada batasan gender terjadi dalam melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di Kalimantan Tengah. Temuan yang harus dikaji lebih mendalam mengenai peran adaptasi dan persepsi akan kemampuan diri sendiri menjadi kunci utama dalam pilihan melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi. Diskusi mengenai personal influence terutama umur dan jenis kelamin di bahas lebih rinci dalam artikel ini.   Gender and age as personal influence for choosing higher education   Abstract: This study aims to find out the personal influence of gender and age in continuing higher education in Central Kalimantan. Through qualitative methods with phenomenological studies conducted on students at public and private universities in Central Kalimantan. Interviews were conducted to 10 respondents with a share of 50% between the two universities. The results obtained that in general the average age of 17-18 years is the age limit for continuing higher education. Including no gender limit occurs in continuing higher education in Central Kalimantan. Findings that must be studied more deeply regarding the role of adaptation and perception of one's own abilities are the main keys in the choice of continuing higher education. The discussion of personal influence, especially age and gender, is discussed in more detail in this article.

Abstract

This service aims to provide knowledge and skills to elementary school teachers about efforts to improve the professionalism of elementary school teachers through classroom action research. Classroom action research was chosen because the research is considered simple and very easy to implement for elementary school teachers. This service provides knowledge to participants about the basic concepts of classroom action research and research methods, as well as preparing CAR reports. The methods used in this service are lectures and demonstrations. Based on the results of this service, it was concluded that elementary school teachers were very enthusiastic and interested in classroom action research. This is evidenced by the many questions to the informants. In addition, the number of participants who attended was 35 people, indicating that elementary school teachers were very interested in this training. Participants become more aware of the basic concepts of classroom action research and the systematics of preparing reports, because so far elementary school teachers consider CAR as a difficult research.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKeterampilan menulis karya ilmiah merupakan kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki guru. Namun, pada praktiknya kemampuan ini masih sangat sulit dikuasai oleh guru. Analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan menulis karya ilmiah menjadi hal yang urgent dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan stimulus guru untuk menulis. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu: (1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru SMA/SMK terkait penulisan karya ilmiah pada jurnal ilmiah, (2) memberikan stimulus untuk merangsang semangat guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi terutama dalam bidang penulisan karya ilmiah, serta (3) merangsang ide dan gagasan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah untuk kepentingan pendidikan dan pengembangan profesi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring dengan peserta berjumlah 30 orang guru SMA/SMK yang tergabung pada Program Profesi Guru dalam Jabatan Tahun 2022 di Universitas Jember. Kegiatan pelatihan dibagi menjadi: pemaparan tentang berbagai tema yang dapat dikembangkan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah bidang pendidikan, presentasi tentang sistematika penulisan karya ilmiah dan prosedur penulisan di jurnal ilmiah, diskusi tentang berbagai hal terkait upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah. Hasil pelatihan berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya pemahaman guru SMA/SMK terkait penulisan artikel ilmiah, guru-guru peserta pelatihan memiliki semangat baru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi dalam bidang penulisan karya ilmiah, serta guru-guru menjadi lebih terstimulasi untuk mengembangkan ide dan gagasan dalam bentuk karya ilmiah untuk kepentingan pendidikan serta pengembangan profesi guru. Kata kunci: keterampilan menulis; karya ilmiah; guru-guru SMA/SMK. ABSTRACTThe skill of writing scientific papers is a basic ability that teachers must possess. However, this ability is still very difficult by teachers. The needs analysis carried out by the team shows that training in writing scientific papers is an urgent thing to do to increase teacher stimulus for writing. The objectives of this community service are: (1) to increase the understanding of high school/vocational school teachers regarding writing scientific papers in journals, (2) to provide a stimulus to stimulate teachers' enthusiasm in developing competencies, especially for writing scientific papers, and (3) to stimulate teachers' ideas in writing scientific papers for the benefit of education and professional development. This activity was carried out online with participants 30 SMA/SMK teachers who are members of the 2022 in office Teacher Professional Program at University of Jember. The training activities are divided into presentations on various themes that can be developed in writing scientific papers of education, presentations on the systematics of writing scientific papers and procedures for writing in scientific journals, and discussions on various matters related to efforts to improve scientific writing skills. The results of the training contributed to increasing the understanding of high school/vocational school teachers regarding writing scientific articles, participating teachers had a new enthusiasm in developing competence of writing scientific papers, and teachers became more stimulated to develop ideas in the scientific work for the benefit of education and professional development of teachers. Keywords: writing skills; scientific work; high school/ vocational school teachers.

Abstract

All these aspects of life are actually inseparable in the routine activities of a Muslim; that is called the halal lifestyle. The term "halal lifestyle" is yet to be commonly established but is explicitly and implicitly mentioned in the Quran and Hadis as well. Therefore, this paper will proposed the measurement and validity approach for halal lifestyle. The halal lifestyle in foods and beverages will be analyzed and discussed from a halal perspective based on Islamic financial literacy and halal literacy guidance. This study will become a basic reference for measuring the halal lifestyle, which has not been widely discussed by researchers. A total of 108 expert respondents were involved in the research process by completing self-evaluation questionnaires. Islamic financial literacy and halal literacy will be measured using true or false test questions, while the concept of measuring halal lifestyle is carried out using four Likert scales with the choices of strongly disagree, disagree, agree, and strongly agree. Then, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) will be used to analyze the scoring using SPSS version 21 to test the construct validity. This study is attempted to contribute towards new theoretical knowledge especially in proposing the measurement items for halal lifestyle. This study also has an empirical contribution to understanding the level of literacy among consumers, especially in the halal lifestyle concept.

Abstract

Proses pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran harus dilengkapi dengan proses analisis butir soal, sehingga nantinya dapat menghasilkan informasi yang tepat jika dilakukan dengan baik, yaitu dengan cara mengumpulkan bukti akurat terkait pencapaian hasil belajar siswa dan hasilnya bermanfaat bagi siswa. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses evaluasi pembelajaran melalui pelatihan analisis butir soal berbantukan microsoft excel pada guru SMPI Al-Mustaqimy Kec. Maesan Kab. Bondowoso. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yang akan dilakukan pelatihan dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi, dan demonstrasi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 27 peserta yang terdiri dari pengelola yayasan, pejabat struktural SMPI, serta guru-guru. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam 5 kali pertemuan, dan dari hasil evaluasi akhir yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa mitra merasa puas dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan dan terdapat perubahan kondisi yang dialami mitra yaitu mitra memiliki pengetahuan tentang proses evaluasi pembelajaran, serta memiliki keterampilan dalam menganalisis butir soal.
