Abstract

Character education is a conscious effort to improve and enhance the entire behavior of students that include values, potential, abilities, talents, and mind. In order for these efforts to be successful in both, must start from the smallest scope. Start of school, community, and family environment in an integrated way. If education is successful, it will be realized that not only generation smart intellectual (cognitive), emotional (effective), but also robust generation of faith, which is not only master the hard skills but also soft skills to master. In the context of Islam, Islam does not allow moral turpitude. Prophet Muhammad was sent in an effort to enhance human morality.

Abstract

Entering the past decade, the issue of quality has always been the talk of the actual, especially in the context of education management. Recognized or not, the quality of Islamic education institutions are still largely under the quality of education in general. Various attempts have been made and many of the concepts that have been applied, but everything seemed not bring significant improvement. "Total Quality Management (TQM) or Integrated Quality Management (MMT) as an effort to improve the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. Although at first the concept of MMT is only known in the industry, but the amazing success invite the interest of education experts, 3 to study it more deeply, formulate operational patterns of adoption, and to create a model in teknical to apply. This research was conducted in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. Consideration is SMP Muhammadiyah I Gurgaon is one of the Islamic educational institutions (schools distinctively Islamic) 5 formal mission has always been to apply concepts of Quality Management (TQM). This study resulted in that SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok already implementing Total Quality Management in the management of education. However, the application of Total Quality Management in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok can be said is not fully maximized, in the sense that there are still some things that need to be evaluated together.

Abstract

The implementation of the integration of disaster preparedness materials in PAI subjects in SD Muhammadiyah Insan Kreatif Kembaran is an innovation in integrating Islamic religious learning with the context of community needs. The purpose of this research is to reveal the concept of materials for disaster that can be integrated in PAI subjects, their implementation, and the things that support and hinder the integration. This research is a type of field research. The data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study explain that: 1) Conceptually, the integration of disaster preparedness materials in PAI subjects is still not mature. 2) From the unfinished concept, the integration of disaster preparedness materials in PAI subjects has not yet been implemented. 3) Supporting factors consist of three factors, namely: experience in integrating disaster preparedness materials with thematic subjects, having many parties to work with, and supporting environmental factors. 4) The inhibiting factors for the integration of disaster preparedness materials in PAI subjects are the change of PAI teachers, the lack of understanding of the DRR program, the lack of socialization from the government about the Disaster Safe Education Unit program, and the lack of information about the integration of disaster preparedness materials in PAI subjects.
