Abstract

This thesis is a study of how the English teachers fulfill the four competencies as stated in the regulation of education minister number 16 year 2007. The study used qualitative method in which purposive sampling technique was employed. Fifteen English teachers from some private and state schools were chosen as the sample of this study. The data of teachers competence was obtained from interviews and classroom observations. Based on the analysis, the teachers’ fulfillment in pedagogical, professional, personal and social competencies had different results. Based on the teachers’ perceptions, the English teachers’ fulfillment in pedagogical competence was good while the students assumed that the teachers’ fulfillment was fair. Then, concerning professional competence, based on the teachers’ perception, the fulfillment was fair but the students agreed that the fulfillment was fair. In terms of personal and social competence, the teachers agreed that their fulfillment was excellent but the students assumed that the fulfillment was good.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan software Delphi XE8 yang dikombinasikan dengan Microsoft Access menjadi aplikasi baru bertipe Setup Compiler yang disebut DASS. Pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Aplikasi ini dikembangkan berbasis Setup Compiler merupakan aplikasi dengan memori kecil dan mudah dalam proses penyebaran dan dirancang dengan dua jenis file yakni Installer dan Portable sehingga mudah dalam distribusi file ke pengguna khususnya mahasiswa dan dosen. Validator memberikan respon rata-rata sebesar 4,28 yang berarti “valid”. Sedangkan pada uji coba lapangan rata-rata responden memberikan respon sangat baik dengan nilai 88,20%. Hasil akhir diperoleh 24 Form / GUI Delphi yang telah dikembangkan dengan pemanfaatan AlphaSkins yang sangat menarik. Kata kunci: Delphi XE8, Database, DASS   Abstract: This study aims to develop Delphi XE8 software combined with Microsoft Access into a new application of the type of Setup Compiler called DASS. This application development uses 4-D development methods (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This application was developed based on Setup Compiler is an application with a small memory and easy in the process of deployment and is designed with two types of files Installer and Portable so easy in the distribution of files to users, especially students and lecturers. Validator gives an average response of 4.28 which means "valid". While on field trial average respondents give very good response with value 88.20%. The end result obtained 24 Delphi Form / GUI which has been developed with the use of Alpha Skins very interesting. Keywords: Delphi XE8, Database, DASS
