Abstract

Hidram pump is one of the water pumps are energy efficient andenvironmentally friendly. Pump hidram an effective technology in the field ofenergy pumping by using the momentum of the water (water hammer) to raisethe water, so the pump hidram one water pump that does not use fuel andelectricity. Effectiveness hidram pump performance is affected by severalparameters such as the diameter of the pipe, reservoir height, exhaust valve, theair tube on hidram pump, inlet pipe length. This study aimed to observe andanalyze the effect on the length of the inlet pipe to the pump hidram highdischarge pumps and pumping. This research method through the design of thepump installation hidram and observation influence the inlet pipe length (6 m, 8m, 10 m), and the observation of the effect of the length of the exhaust valvespring (7 cm, 8 cm, 10 cm) to the pressure value (H) and the value of discharge(Q) to the pump performance hidram. The test is performed in ProductionProcess Laboratory August 17, 1945 University of Surabaya. The longer thepipe, the flow in the pump inlet hidram (Q) generated will be even greater. So inthe above study also directly proportional to the value of head (H) anddischarge rate (Q) on the pump performance hidram. So the value of theexisting pressure in the pump hidram with maximum value is generated headwith value - average (H) 1.41 bar and the discharge of water produced with -average (Q) 21 liters / min. Abstract

Redesign Water System Intallation Office of Airport Authority Region III. Old building and new buildingAirport Authority Region III has a working installation of water and pumps of different systems. Old buildingconsists of three floors using press tank system (hydrosphere). Being new building consists of 7 floors using rooftank systems. With consideration of cost efficiency of electricity consumption and maintenance costs burden, thepress tank system is considered less efficient because of the fluctuation of the working pressure greater than the tankroof system. This resulted in the pumps often operate ON - OFF quickly also resulting in large power consumptionand potentially cause damage to pumps and installation. The purpose of this study was to plan the installation of thesystem on integrated water on both the building using roof tank system. From the analysis of the water requirementcalculations required water availability of 120 m3 / day. For office buildings with average working hours of eighthours are taken into account during peak usage hours by 27 m3 / h. Of the allowable flow rate, then the dimensionsof the transfer pipes and main pipes  3 inch, collection pipes and branch pipes varies the  ½, ¾, 1, 1¼ and 1½ inch. For ground water tank volume of 90 m3, roof tank was needed capacity of 67.5 m3 (3 units @ 22,500 litertank). Take into account head losses that occur in the transfer pipe, acquired 34 m total head pumps, hydraulicpower with 78% efficiency of 3.21 kW. Of reference brands Grundfos pump then pumps Grundfos selected types ofvertical multistage centrifugal pump with specifications: Type CR (E) 32-2, capacity 32 m3 / h, head 34 m, 4 kWmotor power, supply voltage 3 x 380-480 Volt, 2900 rpm rotation and frequency of 50 Hz. Abstract

Vane type hydraulic pump is a type of Positive Displacement pumps, which pump a moving elementrotational motion. Type hydraulic vane pumps are widely used in heavy equipment units, in addition to practicalbentukya, the price is relatively cheap and very easy maintenance among their group. Vane type hydraulic pumpalso has Internal Leakage factor is small. Damage that often occurs in the field on the vane type hydraulic pump that is the wear and tear on the rotor andside plate. One way to restore the pump performance to make cuts or pemotongngan (scrap) at the surface camring,rotor and side plate wear. Cutting a maximum of 1.5 mm from the previous size. T6DC-006 pump that haskarakteristk: Volumetric displacement (V) = 21.3 cm3/rev, Max. intermittent pressure (p) = 280bar, Maxcontinuous pressure (p) = 240bar, max speed (vmax = 2500 rpm. By testing the characteristics of hydraulic pump, cutting camring of 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, is able to maintain theperformance characteristics of the pump up to 80% against standartnya, at 1500 rpm rotation, output flow (Qout) at0 bar = 32 L / min, while output flow (Qout) at 140 bar = 27 liters / min. so that the pump is worn or damaged theycan be reused.Keyword :

Abstract

Dispenser is an electronic device to drain the water of gallons of water into the cup or glass that can automatically heats and cools water that is ready to drink. Also called water cooler dispenser (water cooler), butalong with the development of technology and the increasing complexity of human needs, the dispenser is not onlyused to cool water, dispenser also can heat the water using a heater. On the dispenser there is a straight capillarytube where the capillary tube is one of the important components in the engine cooler (dispenser) and had aconsiderable influence on the size of the resulting temperature on the evaporator. This study used a variation incapillary tube spiral shape and forms a straight capillary tube with a diameter of 0.026 cm pipe; 0.028 cm; 0.031cm and a fixed length of 100 cm.The results were obtained in the form of a capillary tube straight with the lowest temperature evaporator isgenerated at 0,026 cm diameter pipe, with a temperature of - 10 0C and the resulting high temperature evaporatorin the form of straight capillary tube with a pipe diameter of 0.031 cm, with a temperature of 0 C. Abstract

Starting from the daily grind that use motor vehicles for work, college, touring and also the use of a smartphone / handphone are already obliged to carry anywhere. When the researchers drive and use a smartphone /mobile phone while traveling, researchers imagined problems smartphone battery / handphone that need filled, ifusing the power of banks and even then only to help a moment, for that is the idea in the course of using a motorvehicle as well to fill the batteries of smartphones at once, but do not overload electrical vehicle itself. Therefore,researchers thought why do not utilize heat energy vehicle engine as a source of electrical energy, for theresearchers tried to create a tool to convert the heat engine into electrical energy that is efficient to use fill thebatteries smartphone / mobile phone while traveling, Dc inverter is a device to increase the voltage of the lowvoltage dc power becomes greater. Researchers used thermoelectrically (Peltier) as a producer of electric voltageby utilizing engine heat is wasted through the medium of an aluminium plate as a heat sink, so it can be used tocharge the battery power bank or smartphone. In the study researchers used three (3) aluminium plate thicknessvariation of 2.3 and 4mm at the time of testing 2,4,6,8 and 10 minutes. From research to engine speed 1100 rpm for10 minutes and the heat sink as a cooling medium thermoelectrically. Abstract

Dry season, especially on the industrial salt drying small one "ocean salt production" Banjarwati village, Paciran, District of Lamongan. drying the salt by means of drying the salt air is free and takes a long time reaches afull day to get the salt with an appropriate water content before being packed and sold. during the rainy season saltdrying using oven-rise that is with a simple tool that uses a direct ignition from below the results of these tools lessthan the maximum drying them salt is still dirty, charred and only produce 200 kg of salt ready for use per day,while the demand is very high as 1,000 kg / day and is unable to meet consumer demand every rainy season comes. This study aims to help small industries during the rainy season by making, "iodine salt drying machine"Conductresearch methods on the tool with variable rotation screw shaft including is15rpm, 20rpm, 24rpm and valve opening(valve) with LPG gas regulator ¼ open valve, ½ open valve, 1 open valve.After analysis on the results of the testingare the best tool that is "open valve ½ (valve) LPG gas regulator and a round screw shaft 20 rpm" and get a hotpace (q) of 666.4 joules / second at 20kg of salt mass flow rate, and levels of water an average of 5% in accordancewith the quality of iodized salt consumption (MOH, 2005). This analysis can be used as a solution to increase theproduction capacity of salt during the rainy season arrives. so that the maximum drying by using "iodine salt dryingmachine" compared with the air drying salt-free.Keyword :

Abstract

Perkembangan industri komponen alat transportasi di dalam negeri semakin marak. Hal itumendorong permintaan akan jenis komponen yang beragam juga semakin tinggi sehinggamembuka peluang yang tidak kecil bagi para pelaku industri terutama industri otomotif dantransportasi senantiasa berupaya meningkatkan produktifitas dan efisiensi guna mendukungdan mencapai pertumbuhan yang dipersyaratkan. Kegiatan penelitian kali ini difokuskan padaanalisa performansi mesin perahu nelayan menggunaan propeller yang terbuat dari bahankomposit matrik logam berbasis Al-abu dasar batubara, aluminium, dan stainless steel. Denganvariable jarak propeller tehadap permukaan air. Langkah – langkah dalam penelitian inimeliputi studi literature, studi lapangan, persiapan alat dan bahan, pengujian, analisa data, danpengambilan kesimpulan. Variasi yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan propeller yang terbuatdari material komposit matrik logam berbasis Al-abudasar batu bara, aluminium, dan stainlessstell dengan kondisi tidak dimasukan ke dalam air, 50cm di bawah permukaan air, dan 80cmdi bawah permukaan air. Sedangkan untuk mesin motornya adalah motor bensin 4 langkahdengan nomor mesin 7DH2-3000378. Hasil dari pengujian ini dengan menggunakan propellerkomposit dapat lebih meningkatkan efisiensi panas ƞth. Hal ini dapat dilihat melaluipeningkatan parameter-parameter yang dihasilkan dari pengujian ketiga jenis materialpropeller tersebut. Peningkatan efisiensi panas mesin terbesar terjadi pada putaran mesin 2500rpm pada propeller aluminium berada di dalam air sedalam 50cm yaitu sebesar 78%, konsumsibahan bakar spesifik Sfc sebesar 0,076 dalam waktu 40,9 detik.

Abstract

Kotak pendingin atau juga dikenal cooler box adalah tempat tempat untuk menyimpan es batu atau minuman dingin. Saat didalam rumah kita bisa memanfaatkan kulkas untuk menyimpan es batu atau minuman dingin. Namun saat kita beraktivitas diluar rumah sering kebingungan untuk menjaga es batu atau minuman dingin tersebut,maka dari itu cooler box hadir untuk menunjang aktivitas diluar rumah serta jauh dari sumber listrik.Disebabkan kotak pendingin berguna untuk menyimpan es atau minuman, banyak orang-orang menggunakan kotak tersebut untuk berbagai macam diantaranya untuk menyimpan daging,ikan,dan lain sebagainya.Tingkat kesegaran ikan akan semakin cepat menurun atau ikan akan mudah membusuk pada suhu tinggi namun sebaliknya jika suhu rendah dapat menghambat pembusukan(Suparno et al.1993).Maka dari pada itu banyak orang – orang berangsur menggunakan kotak pendingin untuk menyimpan ikan,karena didalam kotak pendingin dapat mengurangi bakteri pembusukan di suhu badan ikan.Dalam penelitian ini kami membuat kotak pendingin yang terbuat dari sytrofroam dengan bantuan alat seperti solar cell,battery,fan,heatsink,dan thermoelectric atau peltier.Kami menganalisa heatsink variable 8 x 10cm,9 x 10 cm, serta 10 x 12 cm selama 1 jam, 2 jam, serta 3 jam.Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini pada variable 8 x 10 cm dengan waktu 1 jam,dengan waktu tersebut menghasilkan 𝑄 konveksi yang sama dengan 𝑄 radiasi.sehingga variable 8 x 10 lebih efektif dari pada variable yang lainnya.

Abstract

Abstract

Hardening adalah salah satu jenis proses perlakuan yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki sifat mekanik diantaranya untuk memperoleh nilai kekerasan dan kekuatan yang lebih baik. Hardening dilakuakan dnegan memanaskan material sampaI ke tempertur austenite, ditahan pada temperature tersebut untuk waktu tertentu dan dilakukan pendinginan cepat dengan media pendingin tertentu. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan material baja ST-42 yang termasuk golongan baja rendah dan dilakukan proses laku panas hardening. Pada proses laku panas hardening ini dilakukan dengan memberikan variasi pada temperature pemanasan sebesar 825°C, 875°C, 925°C dan variasi pada holding time sebesar 20 menit, 25 menit, 30 menit setelah itu dilakukan Pengujian Tarik. Dari hasil Pengujian Tarik yang dilakukan,  didapatkan Kekuatan Tarik Maksimum ( UTS ) yang terbesar pada variasi temperature pemanasan  825 0C dan holding time 25 menit, yaitu sebesar  687kg/?mm?^2  dan Kekuatan Tarik Maksimum terkecil  pada variasi temperature pemanasan 8250C dan holding time 30 menit yaitu sebesar 445kg/?mm?^2 .Kata kunci: Hardening, Temperatur Pemanasan, Holding Time, Baja ST-42
