Abstract

ABSTRAK Gejala stress, cemas dan depresi rentan terjadi pada mahasiswa kedokteran.Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh bagian Bimbingan Konseling dari  Unit Support didapatkan mahasiswa  kedokteran mengalami cemas, stress bahkan depresi dengan gejala yang  bervariasi dari ringan sampai ke tingkat sedang-berat. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pada peer counselor untuk mengenali gejala stres, depresi dan cemas sehingga dapat melakukan deteksi pada teman sebayanya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melalui 3 tahap yaitu tahap rekruitmen dan seleksi, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap rekrutment dimulai dengan mengirimkan link survey ke grup mahasiswa, untuk mahasiswa yang memiliki minat sebagai peer counselor..Tahap pelaksanaan dimulai dengan melakukan proses pre-test yan bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan peserta mengenai gejala stress, cemas dan depresi. Lalu dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi mengenai gejala stress, depresi dan cemas. Tahap  Evaluasi melakukan post test untuk menilai tingkat pemahaman setelah pemberian materi. Peserta dari kegiatan ini 28 orang yang dilakukan via zoom. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diperoleh terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan mengenai gejala stress, cemas dan depresi, yang dapat digunakan sebagai pelaksanaan  fungsinya sebagai peer counselor.Kata kunci: konselor sebaya, depresi, stress, cemas, mahasiswa   ABSTRACT Symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression are prone to occur in medical students. The Counseling Guidance section of the Support Unit found that medical students experience anxiety, stress, and even depression with symptoms that vary from mild to moderate to severe. This Community Service aims to increase the knowledge of peer counselors to recognize symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety to detect their peers. This activity is carried out through 3 stages: the recruitment and selection stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The recruitment stage begins by sending a survey link to the student group for students interested in being a peer counselors. The implementation stage begins with a pre-test process that aims to determine participants' knowledge about symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Then proceed with the provision of material about the symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. The evaluation stage conducts a post-test to assess the level of understanding after giving the material. The participants of this activity were 28 people, which were carried out via zoom. The result of this activity is an increase in the trainees' knowledge regarding the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression, which can be used to implement their functions as peer counselors. Keywords: peer counselors, depression, anxiety, students
