Abstract

The importance of paying attention to nutritional status in early childhood is useful for maximizing the growth phase of early childhood. One way to assess nutritional status for early childhood can be assessed by means of anthropometric measurements. Anthropometric measurements are measurements of various dimensions and body compositions of various ages, such as baby length, head circumference, height, weight, chest circumference, and upper arm circumference. TK Aisyiyah 15 Bustanul Athfal Banjarmasin is one of the schools that has not implemented early detection of the growth and development of pre-school children because the teachers do not understand how to examine and document the results of the examination. Efforts to strengthen the Stimulation, Detection and Early Development Development Program (SDIDTK). Methods ranging from FGDs, training and mentoring so that teachers acquire comprehensive skills in anthropometric examinations. The activity was carried out in August and was continued with mentoring for teachers to be able to monitor and evaluate activities. The results of activities in efforts to strengthen stimulation, detection and early intervention programs for growth and development produce skills for teachers in conducting anthropometric examinations and screening children's growth and development. Efforts to strengthen the program of stimulation, detection and early intervention for growth and development can increase teachers' knowledge in conducting anthropometric examinations and growth screening.

Abstract

Introduction: Low Birth Weight (LBW) is the condition when a baby is born weighing less than 2,500 grams. LBW is one of the public health problems that get special attention because effected short and long-term problems. One of the problems is the infant's thermoregulation, such as hypothermia which can cause death. The intervention that can be done is Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) that chosen because able to increase temperature through a heat transfer and enhance parent-baby bonding. Objectives: the study aimed to analyze the KMC of low birth weight babies in maintaining thermoregulation stabilization. Method: The research used an evaluative design is a case study with data analysis using descriptive-analytic. Results: The case study was conducted on one baby born at 32 weeks' gestation spontaneously and birth weight 1420 gr. The client has a risk of hypothermia, so the kangaroo method is treated for three days. Discussion: Evaluation from 3 days of implementation is the increase in body temperature before and after the KMC for 1st day was 36.4o C to 36.9o C, on 2nd day was 36.6o C to 36.8o C, on 3rd day was 36.8o C to 37.1o C. The KMC is recommended for increasing the baby's body temperature, so it is hoped this method can be carried out by health workers and the baby's parents.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) adalah kondisi bayi lahir dengan berat badan kurang dari 2.500 gram. BBLR merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang mendapat perhatian khusus karena menimbulkan masalah jangka pendek dan jangka panjang. Salah satunya adalah masalah termoregulasi bayi seperti hipotermia yang dapat menyebabkan kematian bayi. Intervensi yang dapat dilakukan adalah Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) yang dipilih karena mampu meningkatkan suhu melalui perpindahan panas dan meningkatkan bonding orang tua-bayi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan evaluative dalam bentuk studi kasus dengan analisa data menggunakan deskriptif analitik. Hasil: Studi kasus yang dilakukan pada seorang bayi yang lahir pada usia kehamilan 32 minggu secara spontan dan berat lahir 1420 gr. Klien memiliki resiko hipotermia sehingga dilakukan perawatan metode kanguru selama 3 hari. Diskusi: Evaluasi dari 3 hari implementasi, peningkatan suhu tubuh sebelum dan sesudah tindakan KMC pada hari 1 ialah 36,4o C menjadi 36,9o C, pada hari 2 ialah 36,6o C menjadi 36,8o C, pada hari 3 ialah 36,8o C menjadi 37,1o C. Berdasarkan data tersebut perawatan metode kanguru direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan suhu tubuh bayi, sehingga diharapakan metode ini bisa dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan dan orang tua bayi.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Sindrom Down merupakan kelainan genetik trisomi yang terdapat tambahan kromosom pada kromosom 21 sehingga menyebabkan kelainan fisik dan gangguan tumbuh kembang anak. Hasil studi memaparkan insiden kelahiran anak Sindrom Down semakin meningkat di seluruh dunia. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan usia, paritas ibu dan usia ayah dengan kejadian anak Sindrom Down. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survei analitik dengan Cross Sectional, teknik purposive sampling, jumlah populasi 161 dan sampel dari kekhususnan tunagrahita berjumlah 98 orang. Hasil: Usia ibu pada kategori tidak berisiko (20-35 tahun) berjumlah 53 orang (53,06%), Paritas ibu pada paritas berisiko (1 dan ≥4) berjumlah 61 orang (62,24%), usia ayah pada kategori tidak berisiko (25-40 tahun) berjumlah 77 orang (78,57%) dan kejadian Sindrom Down pada kategori bukan Sindrom Down (kelompok tunagrahita tanpa tanda klinis Sindrom Down) berjumlah 92 orang (93,8%). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman Rank antara usia ibu dengan kejadian anak Sindrom Down dengan p value 0,014, paritas ibu dengan p value 0,267 dan usia ayah dengan p value 0,192. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup lemah antara usia Ibu dengan kejadian Sindrom Down. Selanjutnya, tidak ada hubungan significant antara paritas Ibu dan usia ayah dengan kejadian sindrom down. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar calon orang tua (Suami dan Istri) dapat mempertimbangkan secara lebih hati-hati usia Ibu (Istri) sebelum menikah dan perencanaan kehamilan, disamping usia Ayah, dan Paritas Ibu. Abstract

Abstrak: Penyebaran Covid-19 masih terjadi di Tahun 2022. Kepatuhan terhadap protokol kesehatan merupakan upaya menurunkan jumlah terjadinya penyebaran Covid-19. Fakta lapangan menunjukan kenyataan yang berbeda, masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak mematuhinya. Salah satu kelompok rentan tertular dan menularkan Covid-19 adalah anak-anak. Berbagai faktor yang menyebabkan penularan Covid-19 masih tinggi yaitu etika batuk dan pengelolaan limbah masker yang salah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan edukasi cara etika batuk dan pengelolaan limbah masker sekali pakai pada murid sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dengan ceramah dan simulasi dari tim pengabdi dan diakhiri dengan praktik yang dilakukan oleh 13 murid kelas 1 SDN Puntik Dalam Desa Puntik Dalam Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Evaluasi kemampuan murid terdiri dari tiga capaian hasil observasi yaitu kemampuan melakukan etika batuk, memasang dan melepas masker dan mengelola limbah masker sekali pakai dengan benar. Kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan baik sampai akhir rangkaian kegiatan. Antusiasme murid dan terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan masing-masing murid sebelum dan sesudah edukasi yang diberikan pada praktik etika batuk sebesar 92%, memasang dan melepas masker 39% dan mengelola limbah masker sebesar 77%.Abstract: The spread of Covid-19 is still happening in 2022. Compliance with health protocols is an effort to reduce the number of cases of Covid-19. The fact shows a different reality, there are still many people who do not obey it. One of the groups vulnerable to contracting and transmitting Covid-19 is children. Various factors that cause the transmission of Covid-19 are still high, namely cough ethics and incorrect management of mask waste in daily life. The purpose of this activity was to provide education on cough ethics and waste management of disposable masks to school students. The method used is lectures and simulations from the service team and ends with a practice carried out by 13 students of Class 1 at SDN Puntik Dalam, Puntik Dalam Village, Barito Kuala Regency. The evaluation of the student's ability consists of three achievements from observations, namely the ability to perform cough etiquette, put on and take off masks and manage disposable mask waste properly. This activity was carried out well until the end of the series of activities. Student enthusiasm and an increase in each student's knowledge before and after the education given on cough etiquette practices by 92%, putting on and removing masks by 39% and managing mask waste by 77%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTersedak merupakan suatu kondisi terjadinya sumbatan atau hambatan respirasi oleh benda  asing yang menyempit pada saluran napas internal, termasuk faring,  hipofaring,  dan trakea. Penyempitan  jalan  napas bisa berakibat fatal jika itu mengarah pada gangguan serius oksigenasi dan ventilasi. Kondisi tersedak pada anak dapat menimbulkan situasi kegawatdaruratan respirasi yang jika tidak ditangani dengan segera dapat mengancam jiwa ataupun kecacatan anak. Penanganan yang dilakukan biasanya berhasil dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 95%. Untuk melakukan pertolongan terhadap kejadian ini diperlukan teknik Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) penanganan tersedak. Teknik ini, selain harus dikuasai oleh petugas medis, juga penting diketahui oleh orang tua dan guru sebagai pertolongan pertama jika menemukan anak tersedak sebelum mendapatkan penanganan medis selanjutnya. Oleh karena itu orang tua perlu memiliki wawasan yang didapatkan dari pelatihan yang diberikan oleh tim tentang penatalaksanaan tersedak pada anak untuk mengurangi angka kejadian dan kemungkinan perburukan kondisi pada anak. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk mengetahui dan mengaplikasikan prosedur pertolongan pertama pada anak tersedak (choking). Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan ceramah, demonstrasi dengan alat peraga dan tanya jawab. Kesimpulan didapatkan orangtua dan guru mampu mengetahui  dan mengaplikasikan pertolongan pertama pada anak tersedak (choking) sesudah diberikan pelatihan. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Tersedak, Anak ABSTRACTChoking is a condition of obstruction or obstruction of respiration by a narrowed foreign body in the internal airways, including the pharynx, hypopharynx, and trachea. The narrowing of the airway can be fatal if it leads to serious impairment of oxygenation and ventilation. Choking conditions in children can lead to respiratory emergencies which if not treated immediately can be life-threatening or disabled. Treatment is usually successful and the survival rate is 95%. To help with this incident, a Basic Life Support (BHD) technique is needed to deal with choking. This technique, besides having to be mastered by medical personnel, is also important for parents and teachers to know as first aid if they find a child choking before getting further medical treatment. Therefore, parents need to have the insight gained from the training provided by the team on the management of choking in children to reduce the incidence and possible worsening of the condition in children. The purpose of this community service is to find out and apply first aid procedures to choking children. This community service method is carried out with lectures, demonstrations with props, and questions and answers. The conclusion is that parents and teachers are able to know and apply first aid to choking children after being given training. Keywords: Training, Choking, Children

Abstract

Background: The unwise use of smart devices in children negatively impacts psychosocial and physical health. Hypnoparenting is a communication technique involving the brain activity system between parents and children.Objective: This research aims to determine the effect of hypnoparenting in overcoming the problem of smart device addiction in preschool children.Methods:  The study used a quasi-experiment design with a time-series experiment on 40 parents. A sample included 19 parents of preschool children at Ar Raudah Kindergarten Banjarmasin with a purposive sampling technique in August 2021. Inclusion criteria were parents with children with smart device addiction problems who have never applied hypnoparenting. Exclusion criteria included parents who were unable to accompany their children to sleep daily. The Independent variable was hypnoparenting, while the dependent variable was smart device addiction. The research instrument was an interview guide and observation sheet.Result: The results showed that there were 2 people (10,53%) with a low level of smart device addiction before hypnoparenting was carried out, 11 people (57.89%) with a moderate level, and 6 people (31,58%) with a high level. After hypnoparenting was carried out, there were 11 people (57.89%) with a low category, 7 people (36,84%) with a moderate category, and 1 person (5,26%) with a high category. The data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with ρ value = 0.009 0.05.Conclusion: The result showed a significant effect of hypnoparenting carried out for 21 days on smart device users. Hypnoparenting could be applied by parents for 21 days before bedtime to overcome the problem of smart device addiction to optimize growth and development in preschoolers.

Abstract

Most parents have different perspectives when handling fever such as providing medical or traditional complementary therapy. However, therapy based on culture is more believed by parents to be a treatment for children with fever due to supernatural disorders. The research aimed was to explore mother's experience for handling fever in children under five years old in Banjarmasin city. This study employed a qualitative study with a transcendent phenomenology design. The data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with five mothers who had children under five years old in Banjarmasin City. The theme of the research is the mother's actions in handling children with fever. This research can be used as developing a standard operating procedure for handling children with fever according to evidence-based nursing in the development of complementary therapy.

Abstract

Chickenpox or the disease caused by the Varicella Virus is no stranger to society and the world. This disease is an infectious disease that is very common in children and adults are no exception. Chickenpox attacks children aged 5-9 years. Chickenpox is transmitted very quickly through fluids from the body such as sneezing or coughing from one individual to another, so it is possible that the person will be infected. The purpose of this education was to increase knowledge and awareness of healthy students about the dangers of chickenpox through Audio Visual Learning Media for School Children. The activity done in a day on June 17, 2022, with a duration of 1 hour from 09.00–10.00 a.m. Location of activity at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 3 “Al – Furqan” Banjarmasin for 2D grade students. Evaluation of the implementation of these activities was to determine the extent of students' knowledge about chickenpox disease with achievements that can be seen from changes in scores from before and after the test. Most of the students experienced a change in knowledge about the education that had been given. The percentage of students' knowledge before being given education has an average value of 83.3% and after being given education it is 88.9% so that the results of the two aspects have changed around 5.6%.

Abstract

Bullying adalah perilaku perundungan yang diwujudkan dalam berbagai bentuk seperti pelecehan verbal, cedera fisik, pemerasan, dan intimidasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar peserta didik mengerti cara mengatasi perundungan dilingkungan sekolah dan setelah mengikuti penyuluhan peserta didik dapat menjelaskan kembali pengertian perundungan, menyebutkan bentuk-bentuk perundungan, faktor penyebab perundungan, cara mengatasi perundungan, pengetahuan tentang perundungan, dampaknya, dan cara untuk memeranginya sehingga siswa tidak lagi mengalami kerugian di sekolah sebagai akibat dari hal buruk dari teman sekelas mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 03 Juni 2023 di Halaman SD 6 Muhammadiyah Kota Banjarmasin pada peserta didik kelas 4A dan 4B yang berjumlah 35 orang dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi. Evaluasi kegiatan dapat dilihat sebagian besar peserta didik mengalami perubahan pengetahuan sebelum diberikan edukasi rata-rata 85,7% dan sesudah diberikan edukasi sebesar 87,4% sehingga hasil capaian mengalami perubahan berkisar 1,7%. Penanaman Pendidikan karakter penting dilakukan dalam keselarasan interaksi di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Mental and emotional problems at every age level are increasing and exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2022 affects the growth and development of preschool children. Growth and development are influenced by mental and emotional problems of children so the importance of early screening to detect in children aged 36-72 months. This study aimed to determine the description of early screening for mental-emotional problems in preschool children at Margo Utomo Kindergarten, Puntik Dalam Village due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The design of this research was descriptive-quantitative. The screening was carried out on 40 children by interviewing with parents based on guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2016 regarding the Mental Emotional Problem Questionnaire with totaling 14 questions, answer choices "yes" and "no". Total sampling technique with descriptive data analysis. The results showed that most of the preschool children experienced the possibility of having mental-emotional problems (suspects) with a total of 26 children (65%). The important of periodic screening is carried out on children to detect developmental deviations in school children so that appropriate and early intervention can be given.
