Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of personal competence, self-efficacy of teachers and teachers' organizational commitment to performance and the role of organizational commitment mediates the influence of personal competence and teachers self efficacy on performance of teachers on vocational high school teachers of Semarang’s rayon 01 on Semarang City.The population in this research is state and private vocational high school teachers of totaled 209 people. With Slovin method then the sample numbered 137 people. Then from 137 people, who returns the answer of the questionnaire amounted to 137 people.The results showed that (1) personal competence but not significant positive effect on organizational commitment, (2) self-efficacy of teachers is also positive but not significant effect on organizational commitment, (3) personal competence and a significant positive impact on teacher performance, (4) self-efficacy teacher positive and significant impact on teacher performance, (5) organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of personal competence on teachers performance, (6) organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of self - efficacy of teachers on teacher performance . Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the capital structure, liquidity, independent commissioners and assets structure on financial performance. The sample in this study is a building construction sector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013 - 2017 with a total of 36 samples. The type of research used is quantitative research. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with certain criteria, the data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results of the t test show that the variables of capital structure and independent commissioners have a significant and significant effect on financial performance, while the liquidity variable and assets structure have no significant and no significant effect on financial performance. The test results of the coefficient of determination indicate that the independent variable can affect the dependent variable by 28.2% while 71.8% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to investigate how well Think Pair Share technique can improve students activeness to the ten grade students of SMA Bina Mandiri Teluk Pakedai. The research conducted this project in order to solve the problems encountered in the classroom.Since it is to improve students activeness in teaching learning process. The appropriate technique that was applied in this research is a classroom action research with the cycle of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The participant of this research is the students in ten grade students of SMA Bina Mandiri Teluk Pakedai in academic 2017/2018, which consist of 15 students.After collecting the data, the writer found out that the Think Pair Share technique was useful to students activeness. Based on students abservation, the researcher discovered a good mark that was shown by students activeness from cycle to cycle was increases. The students activeness in the first cycle was moderate. The students activeness in the second cycle was good.The finding of the classroom action research were satisfying. All the indicator of success had been fulfilled. The students activeness was increased and teaching learning become better. Think Pair Share helps students to improving the activeness. Key words: Think Pair Share, Activeness

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar peserta didik. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu dengan jumlah siswa 33 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus, dimana dalam satu siklus terdiri dari empat pertemuan dan satu pertemuan tes akhir siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 % dari seluruh peserta didik yang mendapat nilai ≥ 75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Pada pembelajaran siklus I nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu 64.89 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 54.55%. Siklus II nilai rata-rata peserta didik 78.73 dengan ketuntasan klasikal klasikal 75.76%. Nilai rata-rata dan ketuntasan klasikal siklus III adalah 85.76 dan 87.88%.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing. AbstractThis research is a classroom action research. The aim of the study is improving student’s learning achievement  on mathematics subject at class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu by using Guided Inquiry learning model. The instrument of data collection is a test for student’s learning  achievement. The subjects of the study were students of class VII-1 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu concist of 33 students. The study was conducted in three cycles, in which cycles consisted of four meetings and one final test of cycle. Each cycles consist of 4 steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The indicator of success in this study is 80% of all students who get score of ≥75. The results showed that the application of Guided Inquiry learning model can improve student’s learning achievement on mathematics. In cycle one, the average score of the students was 64.89 with classical learning completeness was 54,55%. Cycle two  the average score of the students was 78.83 with classical learning completeness was 75.76%.  The average score of the students and classical completeness was 85.76 and 87.88%.Keywords: Learning Achievement, Guided Inquiry Learning

Abstract

Writing skill has been considered the most difficult language skill to master, and teaching the skills has also been not simple. Part of a research report on teaching writing in English at a senior high school in Surabaya, this paper is aimed to demonstrate that English teachers at the school are skillful and resourceful in teaching writing. With reference to 11 elements or strategies of writing instruction discussed in Graham and Perin (2007), five English teachers at die school were interviewed. The interview guide includes 24 questions centered on the 11 elements. Interview results show that the teachers make vise of most elements or strategies in their English classes. The teachers explained that such strategies as collaborative writing, sentence combining, prewriting, inquiry activities, and study of models are conducted frequently in the classroom. They found the strategies important and helpful for teaching writing skills in English to their students. The findings indicate that a variety of writing instruction strategies have been part of their teaching practice and that they are experienced in teaching writing skills in English to adolescent students.
