Abstract

ABSTRACT Metro TV is the first television channel in Indonesia that take the news as their main program. KPI survey has told us that the quality of Metro TV news is in good quality standard. The theory uses and gratification use as the main theory, and theory of social responsibility is the support theory. This research uses the quantitative descriptive method that collected data and to descript the result. To found the sample, this research will use random sampling and the question method is the close questionnaire. The result of this research will be attributed to aspects of the uses and gratification theory. When watching Metro TV news, the Denpasar audiences feel fulfilled of the aspects that in uses and gratification theory, the conclusion is Denpasar audiences feel satisfied with Metro TV news that KPI says is one of the TV channels that have qualified quality standard. Abstract

ABSTRACT Advocacy journalism seeks to provide other perspectives that are ignored by the media. Journalists have role to bring the voices of actors who do not have power to voice themselves in media. This journalism can be expressed as documentary film, such as indicated in Sexy Killers movie. Sexy Killers shows the struggle of the people who are affected by the existence of coal energy in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to describe how the application of advocacy journalism in Sexy Killers. This research used qualitative approach and was analyzed by using van Dijk discourse. Scenes of Sexy Killers were analyzed based on 6 elements of advocacy journalism. The results showed that Sexy Killers only practiced 5 out of 6 elements of advocacy journalism, that are focus of the news, issues raised, key informants, work priorities, and post-publication news expectations. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembingkaian berita terkini Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla dalam Program Metro Hari Ini pada 100 hari kerjanya menggunakan analisis teks milik Robert Entman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Data berita Metro Hari Ini periode 13 Januari-12 Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing model Robert Entman yang menyatakan bahwa setiap media mengkontruksi berita harus melalui dua tahap yaitu seleksi isu dan penonjolan aspek setelah itu menganalisis berita dengan 4 tahap, (1). Definisi masalah, (2) diagnose causes, (3) make moral judgement, dan (4) menekankan penyelesaian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada dua isu besar menjadi fokus Metro Hari Ini, yaitu berita konflik KPK-Polri dan eksekusi terpidana mati, MetroTV mendukung Budi Gunawan sebagai Kapolri, Metro Hari Ini menggambarkan bahwa adanya indikasi politik di balik penetapan Budi Gunawan sebagai tersangka oleh KPK, narkoba adalah musuh bersama, Metro Hari Ini mendukung pemerintah Jokowi-JK dalam mengeksekusi terpidana mati kasus narkoba. Abstract

ABSTRACT     Skripsi ini berjudul “Interpretasi Nilai Dalam Serial Drama “Jodha Akbar” pada Masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali.” Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif-eksploratif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD), dan observasi. Teknik penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling dan snowball. Pemahaman nilai budaya masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas pasca menonton tayangan serial drama “Jodha Akbar” sudah semakin meningkat, meskipun masih adanya batasan-batasan penerimaan nilai-nilai budaya dari masing-masing kelompok masyarakat  tersebut. Dari hasil analisa menggunakan Teori Dimensi Budaya Hofstede, masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Banjar Lebah memiliki dimensi nilai budaya yang serupa yakni; nilai budaya kolektivitas, maskulinitas, penghindaran ketidakpastian yang bersifat rendah dan jangka orientasi panjang. Dengan adanya faktor sosio-historis, geografis, komunikator, dan aturan adat (awig-awig) maka pemahaman antara masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas mengenai perbedaan nilai budaya semakin meningkat. Kata kunci: Desa Keramas, Interpretasi, Masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu, Nilai Budaya.

Abstract

ABSTRACT An image is very important for a politician to attain the attention from the society. Politician’s image need to be built and maintained in order to attain sympathy from the public. The process of building an image requires the media to share the informations. They have their own way to show the particular image, in order to attain more supports from the society. The using of social media of this purpose is such a requirement to reach the bigger range of society in order to influence them. Many politicians using Facebook to keep on communicating with their constituents. One of these politicians is I Ketut Sudikerta, who used to maintain this kind of social media to achieve the society’s empathy. He updates his Facebook timeline by uploading his daily activities photos. To observe the politician’s image on social media, we can use text analysis technic, to comprehend the intention of social media utilization on politic. The research aim at explaining text analysis of the image of I Ketut Sudikerta on Facebook on January until December 2017. This research using qualitative approach with Van Dijk analysis. The result of this research found that, there are 5 categories of image have been established: hardworking politician, down to earth, simple, local genius, young spirited, dynamic. Abstract

ABSTRACT Election on 2014 was a battle between politicians. Almost every politicians campaigning for themselves or their party to gain people’s vote. On the campaign period, we see a lot of political party’s campaign on television. Analysis shows that 62.3% beginner voters frequently exposed by political party commercial on television, but not all of them watch the whole commercial. 40.8% of the respondent did not watch the whole commercial from start to end. Even though the PDI Perjuangan commercial was the most viewed and interesting, it doesn’t make it the most remembered and liked commercial. Gerindra’s commercial was the most remembered and liked by the viewers. It was because of the commercial presents a politician with high popularity, it was PrabowoSubianto. Even though beginner voters’ perception to political commercial is on positive state and the exposure intensity is high, it doesn’t make voters choose those political party. Abstract

ABSTRACT Through interpersonal communication, communicants can interact with others, and express themselves to others. In families, there are often differences of opinion or different ways of communicating between parents and children, and similarly with children who have parents of different religions. The purpose.of this study.aims to.find.out how to form. interpersonal communication between children with interfaith parents in Denpasar City. The analytical technique used in the study through several stages, namely the calculation of the average analysis techniques and conclusions. The.results.showed.that even though.there.were differences in. age and religion with their parents, it did not prevent children from their parents from being able to have an attitude of openness, empathy, freedom of expressing ideas between children and parents with different beliefs. Abstract

Based on the KPID Bali website in 2020, PT Bali Ranadha Televisi is the first and only private local television broadcasting institution in Bali Province that is still active and persists in broadcasting local programs. The agency established a local television broadcasting station called Bali TV. The purpose of this study is to determine the business strategy of the local broadcaster PT Bali Ranadha Televisi. This qualitative research uses Niche Theory Analysis in Media Ecology. The results of this study are: 1) There are 6 types of local broadcast program content on Bali TV, 2) The target of audiences are from children to adults, 3) The capital used by Bali TV is human resources (HR), income from production costs of broadcast programs, advertising revenues, broadcast programs, and additional off-air programs, 4) Bali TV is referred to as a generalist media because it has various sources of life support.

Abstract

RUANG GURU is an online learning application from Indonesia made by Imam Usman and Belva Devara in 2014. Ruangguru developed an online learning system based on technology which offers virtual classroom, online test, learning video subscription, online private tutor and many other contents which are accessed in their application. One of their marketing techniques is by using advertisements. to attract potential users, they use public figures. RUANG GURU has some brand ambassadors to promote them, one of them is Iqbal Ramadhaan. This research aims to analyze the effect of Iqbal Ramadhaan as brand ambassador towards the learning attitude of students in Denpasar in using RUANG GURU application. This research uses quantitative associative methods with AIDA theory. The result shows that Iqbal Ramadhaan did have an effect towards students at the city of Denpasar to use RUANG GURU application but it was not significant
