<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to identify the types of social conflicts that occur in Okky Madasari's novel The Years of the Voiceless and explain the causes of social conflicts in the novel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe and explain what is meant by the object of research. In this study, researchers will use triangulation to determine the validity of the data. Triangulation' is a verification process that increases validity by combining multiple points of view and methods. The results of this study are the types of social conflicts that occur in Okky Madasari's novel “Years of Voices”, the findings are that personal conflict is a type of conflict that occurs between two or more individuals due to different views and so on. Oftentimes, personal conflict begins to produce disgust towards the other person, and eventually deep hatred. Conflict between social classes is a type of conflict that occurs because of differences in interests between social classes. Classes in society accumulate because people value their wealth, honor, and power. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis konflik sosial yang terjadi dalam novel Okky Madasari The years of the voiceless dan menjelaskan penyebab konflik sosial dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan dan menjelaskan apa yang dimaknai dari objek penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan menggunakan triangulasi untuk mengetahui keabsahan data. Triangulasi' adalah proses verifikasi yang meningkatkan validitas dengan menggabungkan beberapa sudut pandang dan metode. Hasil studi ini jenis-jenis konflik sosial yang terjadi dalam novel Okky Madasari “Tahun-tahun Tak Bersuara” temuannya adalah konflik pribadi adalah jenis konflik yang terjadi antara dua individu atau lebih karena perbedaan pandangan dan sebagainya. Seringkali, konflik pribadi mulai menghasilkan rasa jijik terhadap orang lain, dan akhirnya rasa benci yang mendalam. Konflik antar kelas sosial adalah jenis konflik yang terjadi karena adanya perbedaan kepentingan antar kelas sosial. Kelas-kelas dalam masyarakat terakumulasi karena orang-orang menghargai kekayaan, kehormatan, dan kekuasaan mereka.]]>
