Abstract

BIPV is an integral part of the building envelope such as the roof or the facade. There is a difference of Building Integrated Photovoltaic placement between the location in the equator region and other regions. The study aims to know the effect of BIPV placement and its potency in generating electrical energy. The study reviews previous research related topics of BIPV in all regions. The study shows that BIPV placement is determined by the sun’s position that producers incidence angle. Incidence angle should fall perpendicularly on a surface to obtain the high of an intensity of solar irradiation. Therefore, most of BIPV placement in the equator region are on rooftops while in the regions far from equator not only on rooftops but also on facades. Roofs are so far considered to be the ideal location for BIPV placement since roofs provide the best solar energy generation. The potency of BIPV can be explored in building design with the variation of orientation and shape to increase the building surfaces for getting solar potential.

Abstract

Abstrak: Studi ini menampilkan pengaruh iklim dalam pembentukan panas bangunan pada rumah panggung di kawasaniklim tropis lembab. Rumah panggung di Kota Palembang merupakan salah satu tipe hunian masyarakat yang hingga kini masih didiami dan keberadaannya telah membentuk wajah kota. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja termal pada rumah panggung di Kota Palembang. Obyek penelitian menggunakan dua buah rumah panggung yang berada pada kawasan pemukiman di tengah kota. Metode penelitian merupakan gabungan observasi dan simulasi. Program Archipak digunakan dalam melakukan simulasi. Kinerja termal kedua bangunan rumah panggung dibandingkan untukmendapatkanhasil. Kinerja termal pada rumah panggung RP-11 lebih baik daripada rumah panggung RP-12 berdasarkan pada nilai total beban panas yang lebih rendah. Orientasi, bentuk bangunan, dan material merupakan faktor desain yang paling berpengaruh dalam pembentukan panas bangunan pada rumah panggung. Lantai panggung berkontribusi dalam mengurangi beban panas bangunan sepanjang hari. Ventilasi sangat efektif dalam mengurangi beban panas bangunan. Hasil penelitian akan digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian selanjutnya tentang rumah panggung moderen.Kata kunci: rumah panggung, beban panas, kinerja termal, faktor desain, iklim tropis lembab

Abstract

Tulisan ini menampilkan kinerja pembayangan sebagai usaha untuk mengurangibeban panas lewat kulit bangunan. Pembayangan adalah sebuah prinsip desain yang sangatdiperhatikan bagi bangunan yang berada di sabuk khatulistiwa. Di Kota Palembang terdapatbanyak bangunan kantor pemerintah pada masa tahun 60-an dan 70-an yang menerapkanprinsip desain tersebut, sedangkan bangunan kantor pemerintah pada masa sekarang kurangmemperhatikannya. Gedung Pemerintahan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan dan Gedung DinasPerhubungan Komunikasi dan Informatika-Provinsi Sumatera Selatan diambil sebagai obyekkasus.Simulasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan program Ecotect yang menghasilkan keluarandata sudut bayangan selama setahun. Pembayangan yang dianalisa hanya terhadap sudutbayangan vertikal saja. Kinerja pembayangan diukur dengan melihat seberapa lama terjadipembayangan secara penuh pada dinding (juga jendela) di orientasi arah Utara (ORI 0°)dan orientasi arah Selatan (ORI 180°), pada masing-masing bulan selama setahun.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Gedung Pemerintahan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan lebihbaik kinerja pembayangannya daripada Gedung Dinas Perhubungan Komunikasi danInformatika-Provinsi Sumatera Selatan berkaitan dengan lamanya pembayangan penuhyang terjadi. Dinding pada orientasi arah Utara (ORI 0°) merupakan sisi yang perlumendapatkan perhatian dalam perancangan berkaitan dengan sedikitnya pembayanganpenuh yang terjadi karena posisi latitude. Bentuk bangunan berperan dalam mengurangibeban panas berkaitan dengan luas pembayangan yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian ini akandigunakan untuk menentukan desain dari tipe elemen kontrol pembayangan.Kata Kunci : Kinerja pembayangan, Bangunan kantor, Simulasi, Sudut bayangan, Orientasi,Bentuk bangunan.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the most essential basic sciences because it closely relates to everyday life and the development of other disciplines. It should be taught at every education level, likewise for Islamic boarding school students. In addition to having extensive religious knowledge, students must also have increased thinking, logic and reasoning. In addition, mathematics is also an essential tool in studying several topics of Islamic law, such as inheritance law and zakat. Therefore, mathematics must be taught in the education and teaching curriculum at the Islamic boarding school, including the As-'Ashry Islamic Boarding School. One of the obstacles the Al-'Ashry Islamic boarding school faces in teaching mathematics is that students need more interest and motivation in learning mathematics. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out to increase the interest and motivation of students to learn mathematics. The activity was held on December 7, 2022. The activity was carried out in two forms: a motivational lecture and a math puzzle called Magic Square. Based on the evaluation carried out by the community service team, it was evident that the students were interested in the activities carried out. Students were fully involved in every activity carried out.

Abstract

Mathematics is a field of study needed in various aspects of life. Accordingly, mathematics should always be considered a compulsory subject at every level of education, including in Islamic Boarding Schools. The fact shows that implementing mathematics learning in several schools needs to run optimally, especially in schools lacking teachers and limited educational facilities and infrastructure, such as The Al Ashry Islamic Boarding School, at the secondary level in Padang. This condition indicates that it is necessary to assist other parties to help students in their mathematics learning process. For this reason, the community service team of The Mathematics and Science Data Department of Andalas University conducted an intensive mathematics tutoring activity for The Al-Asyri Boarding School students. The activity carried out during September-December 2022 combined the lecture and the small group discussion approach. From the evaluation delivered by the students at the end of the activity, it can be concluded that this activity increased students’ interest, motivation, efficacy, and understanding of mathematics subject.
