Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process of preparation and feasibility of the Building Maintenance learning module in the Department of Civil Engineering in vocational high schools. This research is a research and development (R&D) study using the Four D (4D) model. The Building Maintenance learning module is validated by one material expert and one media expert and the Building Maintenance subject teacher. The module contains a title, introduction, learning, evaluation questions, UAS, answer key, and bibliography. The analysis shows that the learning module as a whole is very feasible to be used as a teaching material. The results of the analysis of the data obtained an average score from the material experts is  90.0% so that it belongs to the "very feasible" category, the average score from the results of the media experts is 74.194% so that it belongs to the "feasible" category, and the average score of the teacher is 88.46% so it is included in the "very feasible" category. Then it can be concluded that the Building Maintenance module is in the very feasible category.

Abstract

Kepentingan uotuk memelihara lingkungan sering berbenturandengan kebutuhan untuk mcmbangun. Pengaturan tata ruangpengunaan lahan dapat dip~kai untuk menengahi konflik antaradua kepentingan tersebut. Dengan demikian pembangunan yangberkesinambungan (sustainable development) dapat berjalan.Beberapa aspek yang perlu diperhitungkan dalam pcngaturantata ruang antara lain aspek topografi. hidrolgi. geologi. tanah,vegctasi dan penggunaan Jahan. Masing-masing aspek tersebutperlu ditinjau kesesuaiannya terhadap berbagai jenis penggunaan1ahan. Dalam studi kelayakan. kesesuaian tcrsebut dapat dituangkandalum bentuk peta-peta kesesuaian untuk kemudian dibuatpeta kcsesuaian gabungan yang mencakup semua aspek. HasHsudi kelayakan ini dapat digunakan untuk penyusunan rencana tataruang penggunaan lahan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to gather information of the maintenance methods fordigital surveying instruments to be ready-to-use condition. The instrumentmaintenance consists of maintenance in the laboratories including maintenanceof storing and borrowed and returned checking, and maintenance in the fieldsincluding maintenance of storing in camp, transporting, and using.This research applies descriptive-qualitative approach. The chosen researchsubjects are five surveying laboratory managers and technicians, and five seniorsurveyors, in Yogyakarta City and surroundings. The data are collected by indepthinterviews, participatory observations, and document analyses. The dataare analysed by categorization, data reduction, data display, and verificationprocesses. To achieve credibility of the research results, data triangulation isconducted, for both data sources and data collection methods.The research results show that the maintenance method in instrumentstoring, both in the laboratories and in the fields, mainly preventing humiditytriggering fungi growth and keeping instrument security. Abstract

This study aims to identify a learning involving the world of work, to formulate the learning model, and to evaluate the learning model. This study used a qualitative approach for design and development research, consisting of the development and validation steps. The study concludes as follows. (1) the learning through partnerships having been conducted in all vocational high schools were industrial practice and vocational practice examination. (2) the constraints of learning through partnerships were mainly the far distance and the industry schedules that did not always match with the school’s. (3) the model development could be done by improving the learning quality by industrial practices in the private companies and with adding the learning model by industry visits, guest teaching, and up-to-date technology training. (4) the implementation of the developed model showed the feasibility and the effectiveness to prepare the students with the competencies required by the world of work. (5) the learning models through partnerships that could be practiced were guest teaching, orientation for industrial practice, industrial practices, students’ industry visits, up-to-date technology training, and vocational practice examination.

Abstract

ABSTRACTConstruction works need various drawings, including the drawings ofearth surface profiles used to prepare plan and design of construction works.If the drawing process of earth surface profile is conducted manually, it will takerelatively longer time. Using Topocad program it is hoped to produce highprecission earth surface profiles. This research aims to prove that the drawingprocess is more effective and efficient using Topocad computer program.This research was conducted using the Football Field ReplacementDevelopment Project in Dusun Kayen, Desa Sinduadi, Kecamatan Mlati,Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. The field measurement was conducted togather data used to calculate distance and height difference between points.The data were processed in the Surveying Laboratory, FaCUlty of Engineering,UN~Based on data analysis, it is concluded that the calculation process ofsurveying data is more effective and efficient supported by Microsoft Excelsoftware. Applying Topocad program using the surveying data results singlecross sections, multiple cross section, single long section, polygon and crosssection detail were drawn digitally. The drawings produced utiliZing Topocadprogram are easy to be edited and therefore should be suitable for planningand designing civil construction works, because the drawings are in theenvironment of the AutoCAD software.Key words: Earth surface~ profile, computer aided drawing, surveying drawing.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to gather information of computer uses for landsurveying data calculation in the work field of land surveying andmapping in the Yogyakarta Province and surroundings. The researchfocuses on the actors of computer uses, surveying data types, softwaretypes, and its linkage with the drawing process.This research applies qualitative approach. The chosenresearch subjects are seven land surveyors in Yogyakarta andsurroundings. The data were collected by in-depth interview,participating observation, and document analysis. The data analysisconsists of the processes of categorizing, data reduction, data display,and verification.The research results show that the computer uses for landsurveying data calculation are applied by various levels of surveyor, fromthe lower competency level, Young Surveyor or operator, with seniorhigh-school education background, to the highest level, Main Surveyoror Senior Professional Surveyor. Computer aided calculation is appliedfor all surveying data types, especially mapping framework surveyingdata. traverses and levels. The common software used for surveyingdata calculation is Microsoft Excel, utilizing formulae and functionmenus. The drawing processes of calculation results can be categorizedinto three groups: manual drawing, computer drawing using AutoCADsoftware, and drawing with the integrated program for calculation anddrawing.Keywords: computer uses, land-surveying data, surveying datacalculation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop the concept of instructional media based on total station animation video which is used to measure building stake out; (2) developing interactive media designs; (3) due diligence of interactive media; and (4) dissemination of interactive media. This research is a research and development which refers to the 4D model. Non-test instruments with four-scale answer choices were used. The questionnaire was used in the expert validation process and the student's feasibility assessment. Data were analyzed quantitatively. The results of this research and development of instructional media conclude: (1) the concept of instructional media based on video animation of the total station is used to measure building stake out; (2) the initial media design consists of five main menus; (3) based on the assessment of instructional media by material experts it is categorized as "very feasible" with a percentage of 85.278% for the five aspects assessed; based on the evaluation of media experts, it is categorized as "very feasible" with a percentage of 90.409% for the three aspects assessed; and based on users (students) the percentage is 81.306% with the category "very feasible"; (4) dissemination using two methods: offline and online.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan video pembelajaran OpenStreetMap untuk pembuatan peta digital format shapefile menggunakan Spatial Manager. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development/RD) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) oleh Thiagarajan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, dan pengguna (mahasiswa). Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran memperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Tahap define menghasilkan kebutuhan pembelajaran tentang OpenStreetMap untuk pembuatan peta digital format shapefile menggunakan Spatial Manager; (2) Tahap design menghasilkan flowchart, storyboard, dan take video yang sesuai serta produk yang dihasilkan berupa video pembelajaran dengan teknik animasi dan screen record berformat *.mp4 yang dapat diputar di komputer/laptop maupun smartphone standar, berdurasi selama 15 menit 50 detik, dan ukuran file sebesar 56,7 MB; (3) Tahap development menghasilkan penilaian tingkat kelayakan media video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli materi adalah 90,91 % termasuk dalam kategori “layak”, sedangkan penilaian oleh ahli media adalah 91,13 % termasuk dalam kategori “layak”, dan penilaian pengguna (mahasiswa) adalah 86,62 % termasuk dalam kategori “layak”; (4) Tahap disseminate merupakan penyebarluasan hasil penelitian berupa produk video yang diunggah melalui platform Youtube dan memberikan file kepada pengguna.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objectives of this study is developing videos based learning of OpenStreetMap for producing digital maps within shapefile format using Geofabrik at Geomatics Practice II courses. This research is using method of research and development or research and development (RD) with a 4D model based Thiagarajan. The technique of collecting data is through questionnaires. While data analysis were carried out using quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques.The results of this study were reviewed at each stage of the development of the 4D model are: (1) The define stage produces is the need of explanation about OpenStreetMap for producing digital maps in shapefile format using Geofabrik. The need becomes the substance of video based learning product which is developed. (2) The design stage produces the concept of developed media, suitability of materi, storyboard and narrative material, layout of media based learning, systematics of video and layout of images in the video, learning scenarios, and media is produced in the form of  video based learning with techniques screen capturing within format *.mp4 which duration 17 minutes 11 seconds and the file size is 497 MB. (3) The development phase produces an assessment of the feasibility of the developed media based learning product. Based on the assessment of material experts the results obtained were 96.97% in the very feasible category, from the media experts the results obtained were 87.81% with the very feasible category and based on the user's assessment the results obtained were 88.51% in the very feasible category. (4) Disseminate stage is done by disseminating video based learning products through YouTube channel of  video based learning creator and the submission of  video based learning products to lecturers of Geomatics Practicum II courses in the Department of Education Civil Engineering and Planning Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University.ABSTRAKTujuan dari kajian ini adalah mengembangkan video pembelajaran OpenStreetMap untuk pembuatan peta digital format shapefile menggunakan Geofabrik pada mata ajar Geomatika II. Kajian ini merupakan kajian dan pengembangan atau research and development (RD) yang mengacu pada model 4D (four-D) oleh Thiagarajan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket. Sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari kajian ini ditinjau pada masing-masing tahapan pengembangan model 4D antara lain: (1) Tahap define menghasilkan kebutuhan penjelasan OpenStreetMap untuk pembuatan peta digital format shapefile menggunakan Geofabrik. Kebutuhan tersebut menjadi substansi dalam produk video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. (2) Tahap design menghasilkan konsep media yang dikembangkan, materi yang sesuai, storyboard dan narasi materi, layout media pembelajaran, penyusunan video secara sistematis dan tata letak gambar yang disisipkan dalam video, skenario pembelajaran, serta media yang dihasilkan berupa video pembelajaran dengan teknik screen capturing berformat *.mp4 yang berdurasi 17 menit 11 detik dan ukuran file sebesar 497 MB. (3) Tahap development menghasilkan penilaian tingkat kelayakan produk media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi diperoleh hasil sebesar 96,97% dengan kategori sangat layak, dari ahli media diperoleh hasil sebesar 87,81% dengan kategori sangat layak serta berdasarkan penilaian pengguna diperoleh hasil 88,51% dengan kategori sangat layak. (4) Tahap disseminate dilakukan dengan penyebarluasan produk video pembelajaran melalui kanal YouTube.
