Abstract

Beasiswa kota Sabang adalah bantuan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah kota sabang kepada pelajar yang berasal dari kota sabang, proses dari beasiswa itu sendiri masih kurang efisien karena pendaftar harus mengirim berkas langsung kepemerintah kota Sabang dan untuk pengecekan berkas masih manual apabila ada berkas dari pendaftar yang tidak sesuai maka pendaftar harus melakukan pengiriman berkas ulang ke pemerintah kota sabang dan proses pendataan untuk daftar penerima beasiswa masih harus input manual. Dengan adanya sistem pengelolaan beasiswa yang baik maka akan mempermudah pemerintah dalam mengelola pendaftaran beasiswa dan juga pedataan penerima beasiswa dan bagi penerima beasiswa mempermudah dalam melakukan pendaftaran beasiswa. Sistem informasi beasiswa ini menggunakan Framework Codeigniter sebagai perangkat lunak untuk membangun aplikasi dan MySQL sebagai database nya.

Abstract

Communication problems during emergency situations caused by diverse natural phenomenon, especially earthquake, often occurred in Banda Aceh. Thus, this paper purposes to propose a sophisticated network infrastructure for an effective communication in time of emergency phase. Considering the needs for better communication that can lead to efficient responses in disaster emergency, we try to present a concept of Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) as one of the most effective communication network solutions for today that can perform well in crisis phases. The proposed concept in this paper refers to some existing literatures to develop a reliable communication network that will perform better, especially in time of emergency and other chaotic situations caused by natural phenomenon. This paper draws attention to the existence of a sophisticated network infrastructure in Banda Aceh as it is one of the most prone areas to disasters in Aceh, especially earthquake and tsunami. This paper also urges all stakeholders, like local government, communication providers and other related parties to take this communication solution into consideration thus the communication problems during an emergency phase can be minimized.Keywords: emergency phase, communication network, WMN

Abstract

This is due to an increase in user traffic on the communication network that made most of the providers overwhelmed. Therefore, the existence of a sophisticated network infrastructure for an effective communication in time of emergency phase must be provided. Considering the needs for better communication that can lead to efficient responses in disaster emergency, we try to present a concept of Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) as one of the most effective communication network solutions for today that can perform well in crisis phases. This concept is expected to help the local government, related parties, and communities in doing various communication needs in time of crisis phase. The idea of this WMN is also expected to be taken into consideration for all providers in building their network infrastructure in the future.Keywords: emergency phase, communication network, WMN.

Abstract

Ancient documents are inheritance that must be preserved. The documents contain historical, scientific, social, religious information, etc. Converting ancient documents into digital image formats is one of ways to preserve the inheritance and can be stored into a computer. However, images of ancientdocuments have many blemishes caused by age, moisture, flood, etc. Therefore, special techniques are needed for those images to be restored and can improve the legibility of the ancient documents’ images. In this study, the image restoration process uses separation of background and foreground/text on histogram equalization such as research conducted by Fitri Arnia in 2008. Through histogram equalizationimages can be seen the distribution of pixels from the intensity of black color "0" to white "1". The distribution of pixels on histogram equalization describes the curves of foreground/text and curves of background. Among the histogram curves, the determination of thresholdvalues can be done so as to clarify the foreground/text and background areas on images of ancient documents. The lowest point between the two curves is the lowest pixel (local minima) which is used as the threshold value. However, the selection of such threshold values in some cases is very difficult to determine because there are still many fluctuations in the curve at the lowest curve. Therefore, this study proposesa histogram smoothing method in the ancient documents’ images to minimize curvature fluctuations and to determine more accurate threshold values. In this research, average filtering method is used for smoothing the histogram image. This filter successfully refines the histogram and makes the image of the restoration or binary image display the value of the ancient document image readability increases.Keywords: HistogramEqualization, Smoothing Histogram, Average Filtering, Thresholding

Abstract

The difficulty of finding a place to park a vehicle has become a prominent issue in the area of Banda Aceh, especially in shopping centers are crowded like Atjeh Shopping Center. Lack of parking facilities in Atjeh shopping center, causing the transfer function of a road into a parking lot, which means reducing the effective width of the road and decrease the capacity of the road. Therefore, in this study designed a smart parking system simulation to be known the workings and functions of this system which can save a parking lot also reduce traffic congestion and is expected to be implemented in a parking lot in the basement Atjeh shopping center.Keywords: Atjeh shopping center, simulation, smart parking, unity-4.

Abstract

AbstrakSelain faktor ketelitian, waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengevaluasi penerima beasiswa juga berpengaruh terhadap pengambilan kebijakan. Apalagi dengan jumlah pelamar beasiswa yangbesar,  tentu  memerlukan  sumber  daya  manusia  dan  alokasi  waktu  yang  cukup.  Pada penelitian  ini  metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  sistem  pengambilan  keputusan  penerimabeasiswa  adalah  metode  Weighted  Product.  Metode  weighted  product  digunakan  untuk mencari alternatif terbaik dari beberapa alternatif dengan kriteria tertentu. Proses dari metodeweighted product adalah menentukan nilai bobot untuk setiap kriteria, kemudian dilakukan proses perangkingan untuk menyeleksi alternatif dari sejumlah alternatif yang ada. Sistemyang dibuat dalam penelitian ini adalah sistem dinamis, sehingga kriteria yang digunakan dalam  setiap  beasiswa berbeda-beda, sesuai dengan jenis  beasiswa yang  ada. Penerapanmetode ini dapat mengurangi kesalahan dalam pemilihan penerima beasiswa. Kata Kunci : Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Beasiswa, Weighted Product

Abstract

Among the histogram curves, the determination of thresholdvalues can be done so as to clarify the foreground/text and background areas on images of ancient documents. The lowest point between the two curves is the lowest pixel (local minima) which is used as the threshold value. However, the selection of such threshold values in some cases is very difficult to determine because there are still many fluctuations in the curve at the lowest curve. Therefore, this study proposesa histogram smoothing method in the ancient documents? images to minimize curvature fluctuations and to determine more accurate threshold values. In this research, average filtering method is used for smoothing the histogram image. Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pihak akademik, terdapat beberapa permasalahan pada sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD). sistem tersebut digunakan untuk melihat data mahasiswa namun yang tersedia belum lengkap, data yang tersedia hanyalah data mahasiswa per program studi sedangkan untuk melihat data daerah asal belum tersedia di sistem tersebut. Oleh karena itu untuk perekapan data daerah asal mahasiswa masih menggunakan cara manual, sehingga pihak akademik mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari data daerah asal mahasiswa. Dan permasalahan lainnya adalah belum tersedianya sistem informasi geografis jumlah mahasiswa UUI sehingga masyarakat tidak bisa mencari informasi tentang persebaran jumlah mahasiswa UUI saat ini. Maka dari itu dibuatlah sistem informasi geografis jumlah mahasiswa UUI berbasis web. Sistem Informasi Geografis yang dirancang memuat data mahasiswa UUI termasuk di dalamnya informasi mengenai profil mahasiswa dan jumlah mahasiswa per program studi dan daerah asal mahasiswa. Aplikasi sistem informasi geografis ini dibuat dengan menggunakan PHP, MySQL, dan Open Street Maps. Pengguna dari sistem ini adalah akademik dan siapa saja yang ingin mengakses informasi mengenai kemahasiswaan di UUI.Hasil yang dicapai sig dapat mempermudah staff akademik dan pihak yang berkepentingan lainnya dalam mengakses data dan informasi mengenai kemahasiswaan di UUI. Kata Kunci : Data Mahasiswa, Open Street Maps, Sistem Informasi Geografis, Universita Ubudiyah Indonesia
