Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the conditions of the slum settlements and the health of the people living in the area. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The informants in this study were the people who lived in the slum areas of Talang Putri Village, Palembang City. Determination of informants / respondents using purposive sampling, namely taking informants according to the criteria determined by the researcher. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the data analysis show that the slum settlements in the Talang Putri area are due to the lack of awareness of the residents about where they live. In addition, other supporting factors include the low economic situation and the lack of education, which means that almost all residents in Talang Putri attend school only at the elementary level, so that it can affect their knowledge and understanding of the community. The majority of residential building conditions there are wood / planks of 85.5%. And most of the Talang Putri community is accustomed to littering, namely on open land. 68.7% of the Talang Putri community hardly care about the cleanliness of the environment where they live. So that it makes many residents sick, from skin diseases to dengue fever.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran suatu organisasi dalam memperdayakan mantan buruh migran di Kampung Buruh Migran. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di Kampung Buruh Migran Desa Tracap Kecamatan Kaliwiro Kabupaten Wonosobo. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Peran yang dilakukan SBMI wonosobo sebagai motivasi untuk mantan buruh migran agar dapat mengikuti setiap kegiatan yang ada. Beberapa upaya yang dilakukan SSBMI untuk memberdayakan mantan buruh yaitu dengan pendidikan berupa pelatihan-pelatihan, serta pemberdayaan ekonomi dengan membentuk kelompok simpan pinjam dan koperasi buruh migran. (2) Beberapa kendala dihadapi oleh SBMI Wonosobo dalam memberdayakan mantan buruh migran, yakni anggota kurang memiliki kesadaran untuk mengembangkan hasil yang didapat dari pelatihan dan kurangnya anggaran untuk pelatihan sehingga kurang maksimal dalam memberikan pelatihan. (3) Manfaat yang dirasakan yakni mantan buruh migran lebih percaya diri, lebih mandiri atau tidak tergantung pada suami/istri, dan keterampilan terasah.

Abstract

Socialization in the form of games or educational games will be more interesting and fun. In addition, the use of applications on smartphones can indeed be a practical alternative to increase the ability to adapt to the surrounding environment and current developments. The purpose of this research is to build a tax introduction application "Aku Tau Pajak Sekarang" as a media of socialization. The application development method used is the Waterfall method. The steps of this research are communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. In application testing, it is carried out by material testing, gain test, media test, and software feasibility test (functional suitability, compatibility, and usability). This research resulted in the application “Aku Tau Pajak Sekarang” which contains educational games that can be used as a media for socializing tax introduction. From the results of tests carried out, the application can be categorized as "very good" so that the application can be declared fit for use. The result of the material test got a percentage of 91.67%, the gain test got a score of 0.3409, the media test got a percentage of 97.5%, the functional suitability shows that the application can be used properly and there are no errors, compatibility shows a percentage of 100%, usability gets a percentage 80.33%.

Abstract

This mentoring is based on the constraints faced by students, namely that many graduates from higher education institutions lack the skills sought by companies, making it difficult for them to compete in the job market. This problem forms the basis of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy. The Kampus Merdeka policy encompasses several important issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the demand for changes in the education system. Secondly, the need for improvements in the quality of education. Thirdly, the need to empower the quality of students. Lastly, the enhancement of students' innovation and creativity. The mentoring activities for the Kampus Merdeka internship process are based on the needs of students regarding the importance of having supervising lecturers who can serve as consultation points to ensure the success and effectiveness of the program. These mentoring activities are carried out from August to December 2023. The purpose of implementing this mentoring process is to ensure that a total of 50 students under the guidance of lecturers can successfully complete the program at the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. The mentoring activities are carried out using three methods: mentoring, consultation and evaluation, as well as documentation and reporting. The results of this mentoring process indicate an improvement in the quality of internship students from the scores they obtained. Out of the five indicators set, initially, students received a score of 70 for three competencies: communication, results orientation, and specific competencies. Meanwhile, the other two competencies received a score of 80, namely cooperation and integrity. In the final results, all students received a score of 90 for four competency indicators, and for the competency of specific skills, students received a score of 85.

Abstract

In today's era of globalization, where the boundaries between countries are increasingly blurred and international trade is on the rise, it is important for students to understand the export-import skills. With a strong understanding of international trade, students can expand their career opportunities, broaden their insights into global markets, help address social and environmental challenges related to international trade, expand their professional networks, and become responsible global citizens. A policy that can accommodate students' needs regarding the above issues is the Kampus Merdeka policy. The mentoring activities for the studi independen process of Kampus Merdeka are based on the needs of students regarding the importance of having supervising lecturers who can serve as consultation points to ensure the success and effectiveness of the program. This mentoring activity is carried out during the period from February to April 2024. The objective of implementing this mentoring process is to ensure that a total of 50 students under the guidance of lecturers can successfully complete the program at Yayasan Sekolah Ekspor Nasional. The mentoring activities are conducted using three methods: mentoring, consultation and evaluation, as well as documentation and reporting. The results of this mentoring process indicate that out of the 8 competencies offered by the partners, students obtained the highest average scores in the export payment and documentation competency with a score of 91.2 and Continuous Improvement with a score of 96.8. Meanwhile, the two competencies with the lowest average scores are Export Logistics with a score of 65 and Export Research and Strategy with a score of 65.6. The recommendations include the creation of a learning calendar by the Kampus Merdeka team and partners, should also be communicated to the program's mentor and lecturer, and the coordination between  mentor and the lecturer needs to be improved.

Abstract

Students face various challenges related to international trade skills. These include a lack of practical understanding, cultural differences and communication skills, knowledge of export regulations and policies, adaptation to new technologies, negotiation skills, and foreign language proficiency. The Studi Independen is one of the Merdeka Belajar programs by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This project encourages students to collaborate with industries, ensuring that the curriculum learned by student is relevant to workforce needs. The community service activity in the form of the "Be A Digital Exporter" mentoring process is one of the Studi Independen activities that helps students improve their non-academic skills, such as communication, leadership, foreign languages, and teamwork. This community service activity was conducted over two months, from May to June 2024, using three methods, mentoring, consultation and evaluation, and reporting. The results of this mentoring activity showed an increase in understanding, as measured by initial and final assesment, covering eight competencies offered to students in the Studi Independen.
