Pregnancy is one of the phases of a woman's life during which one or more babies grow and develop inside her.The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the incidence of morning sickness and food intake and changes in body weight of pregnant women aged one to 20 weeks in the Working Area of the Kebomas Public Health Center, Gresik Regency. This type of research is a quantitative research with correlational method with a cross sectional approach. Respondents were pregnant women with a gestational age of one to 20 weeks in the Working Area of the Kebomas Public Health Center, Gresik Regency and were taken using the total sampling method, namely 35 pregnant women. Data was collected using the PUQE (Pregnancy Unique Quantification of Emesis). In this research, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between the incidence of morning sickness and the food intake of pregnant women aged one to 20 weeks in the Working Area of the Kebomas Public Health Center, Gresik Regency with r value = 0.006. Furthermore, the results obtained were that there was no relationship between the incidence of morning sickness and changes in the weight of pregnant women aged one to 20 weeks in the Working Area of the Kebomas Public Health Center, Gresik Regency with r value = 0.292. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the incidence of morning sickness and the food intake of pregnant women and there is no relationship between the incidence of morning sickness and changes in the weight of pregnant women aged one to 20 weeks in the Working Area of the Kebomas Public Health Center, Gresik Regency.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults, during this period the food consumed must be considered both in terms of safety and nutrition. Balanced nutrition will determine their health in the future and prevent them from double nutritional problems. This study aims to identify the effect of nutritional knowledge and attitudes toward food choices on adolescent eating behavior. Sampling used purposive sampling with a total sample of 77 people aged 12-21 years. The research design used was observational with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in Kediri Regency, East Java through a survey method by distributing questionnaires online via the Google Form. Research data were analyzed using percentages in tabular form and data correlated between variables. The results of the analysis of data by sex showed that 67.53% of adolescents were female and 32.47% were male. The results of the subsequent analysis showed that 50.65% of adolescents had good nutritional knowledge, 64.94% of adolescents had sufficient attitudes to choose food and 61.04% of adolescents had sufficient eating behavior. The results of the correlation test between nutritional knowledge and the attitude of choosing food obtained a significant value of 0.160 which means that there is no significant relationship between the two variables. While the results of the correlation test between nutritional knowledge and eating behavior of adolescents and the attitude of choosing food with eating behavior both obtained a significant value of less than 0.005 which means that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. A multiple correlation value (R) of 0.005 was obtained, meaning that there was an influence between nutritional knowledge and attitudes towards choosing food on eating behavior in adolescents

Abstract

Health problems that generally occur in adolescents are excess and underweight, where the nutritional status figures do not reach normal according to standards. As for these problems, the causative factors are identified, such as food consumption and physical activity factors. From the available data, there is still little research devoted to adolescents who have special conditions (disabilities). This study aims to determine the relationship between food consumption and physical activity with the nutritional status of adolescents, so that it can be ascertained that the most important factors for normal nutritional status are achieved. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research and was carried out at the Galuh Handayani Inclusive High School, Surabaya. The research subjects were adolescents with various disabilities, totaling 17 students. The independent variables in the study were food consumption and physical activity, while the dependent variable was nutritional status. The instruments used include 2 x 24 Food Recall and Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents. To determine the relationship between variables, then analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between food consumption (P = 0.025) and nutritional status and the correlation coefficient value was 0.540 which resulted in a strong correlation, but there was no significant relationship between Physical Activity (P = 0.133) and the nutritional status of adolescents at Galuh Handayani Inclusive High School Surabaya with a correlation coefficient value of 0.380 which means that the correlation is sufficient. There is a significant relationship between food consumption and nutritional status, but there is no significant relationship between physical activity and the nutritional status of adolescents at Galuh Handayani Inclusive High School, Surabaya
