Abstract

Penelitian terhadap Perilaku Nelayan Rawai sebagai Tolak Ukur Tingkat Keramahan Lingkungan dalam Pengelolaan Perikanan Tangkap yang Bertanggungjawab dilakukan di Desa Kahyapu, Pulau Enggano. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis terhadap empat aspek perilaku dan kebiasaan nelayan rawai di Desa Kahyapu saat melakukan operasi penangkapan ikan di Perairan Pulau Enggano. Hasil dari penenitian menunjukkan bahwa keramah-lingkungan nelayan rawai di Desa Kahyapu berdasarkan karakteristik dan komposisi hasil tangkapan didominasi oleh ikan-ikan yang sudah layak tangkap, kerusakan fisik habitat terumbu karang akibat pengoperasian armada dan alat tangkap rawai terjadi sebesar 26%, pencemaran lingkungan oleh nelayan dalam operasi penangkapan ikan dilakukan sebesar 21%, dan perilaku nelayan dalam memelihara serta melengkapi sarana keselamatan kerja diatas kapal adalah sebesar 69%. Berdasarkan data yang telah dianalisis, hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa perilaku nelayan yang bertanggung jawab adalah mendominasi, yaitu sebesar 73%.

Abstract

Geographical Information System (GIS) modelling using vector data is a commonly used method of modelling offering simple data input and analysis. However, the vector-data model assumes homogeneity in mapping units based on subjectively applied classification and simplification, and this may lead to over-simplification and consequent reduction in the variety of information obtained and uncertainty in results. This research aimed at refining the suitability modelling for sea cucumber (Holothuria scabra) using fully raster-based data for the waters of Kiowa Bay, Kahyapu village in the district of Enggano, North Bengkulu, Indonesia. Using a GIS, all parameters affecting suitability for sea cucumber were rasterised to improve compatibility. The relevant data includes nine parameters of sea water namely acidity, depth, current velocity, temperature, salinity, brightness, dissolved oxygen concentration, condition of the sea floor, and coastal protection of the area. These parameters were surveyed in the field at 51 stations and each parameter was then digitized and interpolated (using Kriging method) to create a continuous raster-dataset. Correlation analysis was then conducted to check parameter correlation. Parameters with a correlation coefficient of > 0.75 were excluded from further analysis since results could be derived from the remaining parameter set. Principal component analysis (PCA) was then applied to ascertain the weight of each component. Furthermore, scree plotting was employed to choose which principal components were relevant for insertion into the formula of suitability. The final result was then compared to the map of suitability from the analysis of vector-based data as the reference data set. The research results showed that this method can be used to locate areas that are suitable for sea cucumber farming. The suitability map for sea cucumber generated from the analysis using fully raster-based data displayed less uncertainty than the suitability map generated using vector-based data.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada 6 November 2017 di Desa Sumorame Kecamatan Candi Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Tujuan yang akan dicapai adalah untuk memotivasi masyarakat agar gemar makan ikan dengan memperkenalkan olahan berbahan baku ikan dalam bentuk Bitterballen. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan metode pendekatan sosial mentalistik dan penyuluhan serta pelatihan yang bersifat masyarakat partisipatif. Program pelatihan yang dilakukan diawali dengan kegiatan mengedukasipengetahuan dari manfaat ikan sebagai bahan pangan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mempraktekkan olahan Bitter Balen Ikan, sehingga masyarakat dapat meniru dan selanjutnya mengembangkan berbagai macam olahan ikan agar dapat meningkatkan minat konsumsi ikan masyarakat melalui usaha olahan ikan sebagai produk siap konsumsi. Capaian yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan pelatihan pengolahan ikan dalam bentuk bitterballen adalah seluruh peserta pelatihan memahami pentingnya mengkonsumsi ikan sehari-hari, dapat membuat olahan ikan dalam bentuk Bitterballen sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai peluang usaha dalam meningkatkan penghasilan rumah tangga. Abstract

The research with the title Modification of Sea Shrimp Fishing Equipment (Penaeus sp) Using Bamboo Bubu and bubu nets (synthetic) was conducted for three months, starting from March-May 2020 at the Fishing Gear Laboratory of Karawang Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic. The purpose of this study is to make a modified bamboo bubu fishing tool and know the number of catches. The research was conducted by ekperimental method of bamboo bubu fishing equipment used to catch shrimp (Paneus sp). This research resulted in bubu units that have been modified using bamboo and bubu nets (synthetic). Both bubu were tested simultaneously. The trial was conducted by conducting an arrest operation in Cikumpay Lake, Purwakarta for 15 days. The test results showed the dominant catch obtained was macrobarachium placidulum shrimp which measured on average 5.8 cm with bamboo bubu and 4.5 cm with bubu net (synthetic). The average number of catches obtained by bamboo bubu is 41 prawns/day while for bubu nets (synthetic) 6 prawns/day.

Abstract

This research was conducted in October-December 2017 in Probolinggo to determining the potential areas of fishing ground of Sardinella fimbriata by looking at the characteristics of Oceanography in Probolinggo. Research done by survey method to collect primary and secondary data. The data analysis done in a spatial image of MODIS and presented as a oceanographic parameters maps. The results of the analysis showed the waters of Probolinggo oceanographic characteristics are: a) sea surface temperature ranges from 31.3-28.2° C, b) pH 8 ppm, c) salinity between 23%-31%, d) chlorophyll-a 0-4 that shows the chlorophyll-a is high, and e) content of dissolved oxygen (DO) 10 mg/mm3 which indicates that it has a good oxygen for marine life. From the results obtained, the area has finally reached of waters with oceanographic characteristics of the area as a potential fishing ground for Sardinella fimbriata. The potential area of Sardinella fimbriata fishing ground is at madura Strait and waters north of Probolinggo.

Abstract

The research was conducted in June-July 2020 at Sambaliung Fish Landing Base (PPI), Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The purpose of this study was to identify safety equipment on purse seine ships at PPI Sambaliung. The method used is case study method by collecting data using observation method directly at KM Piposs Berau with systematic observation and recording of investigated phenomena and structured interviews. Analysis in this study was conducted using descriptive analysis of observation and interview results. The results of this study showed that the safety equipment on board KM Piposs Berau consists of 5 categories, namely: 1) Ship safety equipment: sea map, compass, GPS, radio, echosounder, bucket with rope, and strap to the ship, 2) Individual safety equipment: life jacket, life buoy, 3) Drug equipment (first aid), 4) Personal protective equipment: gloves, raincoats, 5) Work equipment: power blocks, rollers, joy stands, wheel, tools and workshop tools, as well as the thematic ropes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian kawasan budidaya teripang menggunakan Aplikasi SIG yang disajikan dalam bentuk Peta Kesesuaian Kawasan Budidaya Teripang Pasir (Holothuria scabra) di Perairan Teluk Kiowa, Desa Kahyapu Kecamatan Enggano Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penentuan tingkat kesesuaian kawasan budidaya berdasarkan Matriks Kesesuaian Kawasan Budidaya Teripang Pasir (Holothuria scabra) dalam menghasilkan Peta Kesesuaian Kawasan Budidaya Teripang Pasir (Holothuria scabra) yang ditentukan oleh Kriteria, Bobot dan Skor tiap parameter (kedalaman, kondisi dasar perairan, kecerahan, salinitas, derajat keasaman, keterlindungan, kandungan oksigen terlarut, dan suhu permukaan laut). Penelitian ini dikhususkan untuk Kesesuaian Kawasan Budidaya Teripang Pasir (Holothuria scabra) dengan metode Penculture. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, Perairan Teluk Kiowa merupakan perairan dengan persentase kesesuaian yang bervariasi sebagai kawasan budidaya Teripang Pasir (Holothuria scabra) dengan metode Penculture. Kelas Sangat Sesuai (S1) seluas 102,477 Ha, kelas Sesuai (S2) seluas 62,435 Ha, dan kelas Tidak Sesuai (S3) seluas 197,991 Ha.

Abstract

Sebagian besar kegiatan penangkapan ikan oleh nelayan di Kota Bengkulu masih menggunakan armada dan alat tangkap sederhana. Teknologi sederhana berdampak pada daerah penangkapan ikan yang dapat dijangkau sebagai lokasi penangkapan ikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membuat peta lokasi daerah penangkapan ikan nelayan di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di Pangkalan Ikan di Wilayah Pulau Baai, Pantai Malabero, Pondok Besi, dan Pantai Jakat-Pasar Bengkulu, Kota Bengkulu. Responden ditetapkan secara acak. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan metode wawancara terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur serta menggunakan kuesioner. Data sekunder untuk mendukung pembahasan hasil penelitian dikumpulkan dari berbagai referensi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif, sedangkan analisis spasial menggunakan Aplikasi SIG. Penelitian ini juga memanfaatkan kecanggihan data digital SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) dengan aplikasi Global Mapper untuk mendapatkan data atribut batimetri Perairan Kota Bengkulu. Data atribut diimpor ke dalam aplikasi Surfer 12 sebagai dasar analisis spasial sebagai peta dasar. Peta daerah penangkapan ikan dibuat dengan analisis overlay. Daerah penangkapan ikan di Wilayah Pulau Baai lebih jauh dan luas dibandingkan dengan daerah penangkapan nelayan di daerah penangkapan ikan lainnya. Nelayan Wilayah Pulau Baai melakukan penangkapan ikan ke perairan Pulau Mentawai, Sumatera Barat, Provinsi Lampung, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Pulau Enggano dan Pulau Mega di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Lokasi penangkapan nelayan Pantai Jakat-Pasar Bengkulu, Pondok Besi dan Pantai Malabero hanya berada di sekitar perairan pantai dan perairan Pulau Tikus, Kota Bengkulu.MAPPING OF FISHING GROUND OF FISHERMAN IN BENGKULU CITY, BENGKULU PROVINCE. Most of the fishing activities by fishermen in Bengkulu City still use simple fleets and fishing gears. The simple technology affects on fishing areas that can be reached as fishing locations. The purpose of this research was to analyze and make a map the location of fishing ground of fishermen in Bengkulu City. The study was conducted by survey method. Data was collected at the fishing base of the Pulau Baai Region, Malabero Beach, Pondok Besi, and Jakat Beach-Pasar Bengkulu, Bengkulu City. Respondents were randomly assigned. Primary data were collected by structured and unstructured interview methods and using questionnaires. Secondary data to support the discussion of research results was collected from various references. Data analysis was performed by descriptive method, while spatial analysis used GIS Application. This study also utilizes the sophistication of SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) digital data with the Global Mapper application to obtain bathymetry attribute data of Bengkulu City Waters. The attribute data was imported into the Surfer 12 application as a basis for spatial analysis as a basic map. Map of fishing ground was made by overlay analysis. The fishing ground of the Baai Island Region was further and wider than the fishing ground of fishermen in other fishing base. Fishermen of Baai Island Region catching fish to the waters of Mentawai Island, West Sumatra, Lampung Province, West Java Province, Enggano Island and Mega Island in North Bengkulu Regency. The fishing ground of Jakat Beach-Pasar Bengkulu, Pondok Besi and Malabero Beach fishermen were only around the coastal waters and Pulau Tikus waters, Bengkulu City.
