Abstract

To improve the theory of Richard?s equation, studying infiltration under free-draining conditions at the ground surface is necessary. Verification is required to clarify the physical model of water movement. The aim of this study was to describe multistage measurements of both the wetting and the drying front scheme of one-dimensional infiltration at laboratory scale. A soil-column infiltration apparatus was built consisting of a double acrylic wall, a sensor set and a light bulb. Acrylic was chosen as the material for the wall to minimize possible heat conduction on the wall side, which was wrapped in double insulation to achieve adiabatic condition. The following three main sensors were used and controlled by a microcontroller: water-content, pressure and temperature sensors. Meanwhile, the light bulb at the top of the apparatus was set to non-isothermal condition. The instrument was successfully built to describe vertical water movement. Slight modifications were carried out to ensure more precise observation. This resulted in the initiating of new shape interpretation based on the water-ponding measurement to refine the simplified pattern that was introduced by the conventional Green-Ampt theory.

Abstract

Permasalahan banjir Kota Manado merupakan permasalahan utama yang wajib ditangani secara komprehensif. Perubahan tata guna lahan, intensitas curah hujan yang sering dan lama, kapasitas tampung sungai yang mengecil, sedimentasi dan sampah, dan perubahan iklim menjadi penyebab terjadinya banjir di Kota Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan model dua dimensi dengan simulasi efek perubahan tata guna lahan dan efek hujan kala ulang serta observasi banjir guna mencari solusi terhadap permasalahan banjir yang sering terjadi di Kota Manado. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terjadi perubahan tata guna lahan dan peningkatan luas area terdampak banjir yang menggenangi Kota Manado, di lain hal kapasitas sungai yang kecil, sehingga pemerintah Kota Manado perlu memperbaiki daerah sempadan sungai yang dipadati dan dihuni oleh masyarakat guna meningkatkan kapasitas aliran air di sungai saat musim hujan dengan intensitas lama dan besar

Abstract

Studi potensi bahan galian emas (Au) dilakukan di Desa Buang Baru, Kecamatan Sekatak, Kabupaten Bulungan, Kalimantan Utara dengan menggunakan data geolistrik konfigurasi Pol - Dipol sebanyak 4 titik. Metode geolistrik merupakan salah satu metode geofisika yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi bawah permukaan berdasarkan sifat kelistrikan batuannya. Emas merupakan native element dari batuan beku yang mempunyai sifat kelistrikan batuan yang kontras dengan batuan disekitarnya yang umumnya berupa batuan sedimen, sehingga metode geolistrik cocok digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaannya di bawah permukaan sekaligus menghitung potensi volume. Kegiatan pengukuran menghasilkan dua macam model, yaitu penampang 2D dan block model 3D. Pesebaran nilai tersebut diinterpretasikan sebagai lokasi keberadaan dari potensi emas yang terdapat diarea pengukuran. Area dengan nilai resistivity >1000 ohm.m diinterpretasikan sebagai area pesebaran batuan tersilisifikasi. Area dengan nilai 100-1000 ohm.m diinterpretasikan sebagai area pesebaran batuan terargilitkan dengan didalam area-area tersebut, terdapat interpretasi dari keberadaan bijih emas, yaitu area berwarna ungu kemerahan dengan nilai IP >250 msec. Interpretasi model 3D menunjukan bahwa alterasi batuan di area pengukuran secara umum didominasi oleh batuan yang terargilitkan. Batuan tersilisifikasi secara umum mengisi bagian tepi dari batuan terargilitkan pada model dengan bijih terbentuk diselimuti oleh batuan-batuan tersebut. batuan yang diinterpretasikan mengandung emas, terhitung memiliki volume 623.000 m3.

Abstract

Abstract

Human Resources in construction are individuals who practice the profession in engineering and kearsitekturan and skilled workers (labor skills) in the construction sector. ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) will be applied. There will only be a single market and production base with five main elements, yatu free flow of goods, free services, free investment, capital flows and free flow of skilled labor. In fact only partially SDM active construction (the true players) while the rest just borrowed its name (the shadow players). In addition, it should also be known a real picture of how big comparative advantage and competitive advantage SDM Indonesian construction or area in order to face competition in the single market of the ASEAN (AFTA, 2015). Skilled Manpower local contribution is relatively moderate to increased construction services sector in the province of South Kalimantan. In this case the maximum effort must be taken of local communities in order to improve the construction services in the context of quality and quantity.This has resulted in much chance (opportunity) Skilled from outside the province or from outside the island. Skilled portrait in the province of South Kalimantan consecutive gradually decreases linearly with the level of education at Skilled qualification Tk 1, Tk.2 to Tk.3. There are several things that can be recommended for stakeholders to improve the system, namely: 1. Acceleration up-grading Skilled Local, supported by the Party Regulator construction services (Government and LPJK) more strict in applying the rules relating to the certification of skilled workers in the area. 2. The database for Skilled Workers, particularly at Level 2 qualification. 3. Level 3, where a database of skilled labor is easily accessible online and update. Abstract

The provision of construction experts in South Kalimantan can not be separated from the activity of the construction service community, whether from the Owner, the Construction Agents, the Service/skill Supplier, and the Regulator as well as Construction Service User Community. Therefore the improvement for both quantity and quality are not only the responsibility of the Institutions of Skill Service Provider. On the contrary, the supervision of Construction Service Experts implementation in the field must receive appreciation and commitment from the Local Construction Agents, with support of good plans  from the the Regulator. Challenges of the fulfillment of worker demands of construction service industry must be viewed from the context of regulation, through the aspects of law, policy, infrastructure, as well as the Construction Management itself. Thus a holistic evaluation study toward the projection of the number of workers and the existence quality in construction service industry in South Kalimantan is obtained. Keyword: construction, regulator, projection.

Abstract

Various research and experiments in the field of concrete are ocurred as an effort to improve the quality of concrete, material technology and implementation techniques obtained from the results of these studies and experiments are intended to answer the increasing demands on the use of concrete and overcome the obstacles that often occur in the implementation work at outdoor. One of them is to get high quality concrete. By using a variety of types of cement. The purpose of this study was to obtain a high quality f'c 35 MPa and to find out whether the cement type PPC (gresik) and the cement type PCC (tonasa and three wheels) where this type of cement has a high compressive strength achieves a quality of f'c 35 MPa. The test object used is cylindrical in shape and the planned quality is 35 MPa which will be tested at the age of 7 days, 14 days, 28 days and 56 days. This research was carried out in the BANJARMASIN STATE POLYTECHNIC laboratory. From the results of this study with the same mixture proportions, the characteristic compressive strength for the Gresik Cement Variation (PPC) = 28.665 MPa, the Cement Tonasa Variation (PCC) = 35.779 MPa, and the Characteristic Compressive Strength for Three Wheel Cement Variations (PCC) =31,961MPa. It can be concluded that the compressive strength of the concrete characteristics of the tonal cement variation is higher than that of the Gresik and Three Roda cement variations
