Abstract

This researcher examines the concept of spiritual education according to Muhammad Quraish Shihab in surah Ibrahim verses 35-41 and the relevance of spiritual education in the present context. This type of research is library research and data collection is done by the method of irfani (Sufism) and analysis approach. Data analysis was performed with inductive analysis techniques, which are drawing conclusions by departing from specific interpretations towards general conclusions. While interpretative is to look for the meaning behind the explicit and implied meaning. The results of the research show that the concept of spiritual education according to Muhammad Quraish Shihab in surah Ibrahim verses 35-41 uses the irfani method (tasawuf science) and analysis approach so that it can be seen the meaning of the material and the values ​​of spiritual education contained in surah Ibrahim verses 35-41 namely the value of faith, worship, patience, sincerity, gratitude, and morals. The relevance of spiritual education in the present context of diversity in Islam is the first meaning of the rituals of prayer, fasting, zakat, and pilgrimage. If the rapid development of technology and communication as human beings are required to commemorate each other, advise that they always do the right thing and stay away from the sin. So, current technological developments by looking at spiritual education in the face of social media which are viral can we avoid but must be multi-channel in overcoming the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This study examines the role of learning environment in improving the quality of learning students in modern boarding school Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru. Research method used in this research is qualitative method with a case study approach. The data were collected through observation, semistructured interview, and documentary study. Data then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results show that the role of learning environment in improving the quality of learning cases in modern boarding school Al-IstiqamahNgatabaru has a big role so that it affects the achievement of students. Based on the results of research in the field of Islamic boarding school learning environment role is the formation of students through the system pengasramaan, student character formation with the assignment, and the creation of a conducive learning. Supporting learning factors include good classroom, organized learning system, teaching program (TMI), curriculum management, while learning inhibiting factors include teachers demanded for professionals, influences coming from within students and surrounding areas, and inadequate facilities.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to The aim of this paper is to discusse Muslim teachers perspectives on students hedonism behaviors at Senior High School Poso. This study used qualitative method in which the data was gathered through direct observation, in-depth interview with students’ parents, and written material. The results of the study concluded that many students has bad behavior such as consumptive, individualistic, selfish, lazy, irresponsible, wasteful, undisciplined in time, lying, disrespectful of time, shouting, likes to scold, likes to curse, and likes to fight. Besides that, students also like to annoy classmates, like to skip school, and disrespect teachers. The Islamic Religious Education teacher at the school views hedonistic behavior as behavior that can lead students to behavior that exceeds boundaries. Meanwhile, this behavior is very disliked by Allah and His Messenger, so that Islamic Religious Education teachers and stakeholders are expected to prevent hedonistic behavior among students so it does not damage their future.

Abstract

This study discusses teachers strategy of Islamic Education in overcoming students difficulties of reading Al-Qur'an a State Junior High School. The problems that will be addressed included what strategies were used by the teachers in overcoming students difficulties in reading Al-Qur'an and who the strategies were implemented to solve the problems. In conducting the study, we used a qualitative case study method. The case of this study was a state junior high school in West Sulawesi province. Data were gathered through direct field observation, in-depth interviews which involve teachers and the school principle. We also analyzed written material, such as the school teaching activities, to understand how the teachres solve students difficulties in reading al-Quran. Our study found that the strategies to overcome students difficulties in reading al-Quran included the determination of the qualification of learners. Hold a special coaching for students who experience difficulties in reading Quran. Then the teachers made cooperation with fellow teachers and learners. Finally, the teachers familiarized the students to read Al-Qur'an.
