<![CDATA[abstrak—— Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk mendeskripsikan proses peningkatkan belajar siswa dengan menggunkan metode ATM, 2) untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis teks deskripsi dengan menggunakan metode ATM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Lokasi Penelitian SMP Negeri 1 Sambong. Metode penelitian metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian kelas VII G yang terdiri dari 27 siswa. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari RPP, Silabus, dan KKM. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan metode kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas VII G SMP Negeri 1 Sambong. Hal ini dapat dilihat peningkatan nilai hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I siswa belum tuntas sebesar 56%, siswa tuntas sebesar 44% dan hasil test siklus II siswa belum tuntas sebesar 8%, siswa tuntas sebesar 92%.Kata kunci— Menulis Teks Deskripsi, Amati Tiru Modifikasi (Atm) Abstract— This study aims to 1) to describe the process of improving student learning by using the ATM method, 2) to describe student learning outcomes in writing description texts using the ATM method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Research Location of SMP Negeri 1 Sambong. Research methods qualitative research methods using a qualitative approach. The subject of the study of class VII G consisting of 27 students. Data sources obtained from RPP, Syllabus, and KKM. Data collection uses observation and interview techniques. Data processing techniques use qualitative methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability to write description texts in grade VII G students of SMP Negeri 1 Sambong.
