Abstract

The automotive industry is a key pillar of the global economy. At present, the level of public needs is high in the field of motor vehicle equipment and components, the automotive world continues to experience competition and quality problems in its growth. This paper describes a project carried out by an automotive component industry company, to analyze the problem of reducing product defects in the contact rubber silicone printing process. Problems occur in the printing process such as product malfunction, poor appearance, and incorrect shape. The data before the repair was taken from January 2021 to August 2021. After analyzing and making improvements with the Six Sigma method approach, the result was a decrease in defective products seen in September 2021 - April 2022 with a decrease in defective products from 18,088 pcs to 211 pcs or 3.9 sigma to 5.2 sigma. The results of the analysis found that the cause of the problem occurred at the level of the ink print in the container which was less than 6 millimeters. The problem was fixed by installing the sensor as mistake-proofing. So that it can increase the company's profit due to the decrease in product failure.

Abstract

Companies based on FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) need to increase productivity and improve efficiency in order to stay afloat to keep pace with the increasing prices of food raw materials as a result of global security geopolitical conditions and drastic changes in climatic conditions. One of the affected is PT. DUS produces the basic ingredients of fast food. The purpose of this study was to determine the most efficient production planning option in order to reduce the company's costs. The methods used in this research are Exponential Smoothing Method, Linear Programming Method, and Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) Method for Forecasting; The Economic Quantity Order method includes the determination of Safety Stock and Re-Order Point to determine the amount of Inventory, and the Aggregate Planning Cut and Try Method to determine production capacity with minimum costs. The results showed that the production plan with options for constant labor plans, constant inventory, and overtime resulted in a cost of Rp. 549,840,000.00 while the constant labor plan options, variations in inventory, and running out of inventory result in a cost of Rp. 1,548,350,000.00.

Abstract

The processing of Fresh Fruit Bunches into crude palm oil and palm kernel can be done by starting to boil the Fresh Fruit Bunches until they are ripe, after the Fresh Fruit Bunches are ripe, then separate the bunches from the fiber by going through the slaughtering process, after which the fiber is then chopped and immediately pressed so that the oil comes out. After the oil and fiber are separated, the fiber will go to the fiber cyclone. Fiber cyclone is a device located at the solids station, the main function of the fiber cyclone is to separate the nut and fiber by sucking the fiber using air, through the ducting column and will exit through the air lock and then go to the boiler to be used as fuel. The fiber cyclone has a speed of 10.08 m/s for the velocity box, a vertical column of 6.86 m/s, and 8.57 m/s for the horizontal column. Fiber cyclone has 1 loss point for kernel, what is analyzed is the output of fiber cyclone which is fiber taken from air lock, the standard loss for fiber cyclone is 0.10%.

Abstract

Simulasi model menghasilkan biaya distribusi sebesar Rp. 3.648.290.813 per tahun: Kelompok 1 sebesar Rp. 1.132.689.302; Kelompok 2 sebesar Rp. 527.275.555; Kelompok 3 sebesar Rp. 1.569.911.765 dan Kelompok 4 sebesar Rp. 418.414.190.

Abstract

This research was conducted at a service company engaged in the certification sector. The ability to handle a problem related to certification is the main requirement in determining the quality of services provided by the company. This study uses the Multinomial Logistic Regression Method which aims to find out the general description and the factors that affect employee performance in carrying out their daily work. This study uses primary data collected through online survey sheets for North Jakarta branch employees. The results of the study show that the factors that influence employee performance in certification service companies are the competence of the workforce in the form of Bachelor's degree educational background and work experience. For 6 years and employee training, while other factors have no significant effect.
